You girls are such an amazing inspiration. I’m 58 yrs old and it’s because of ya’ll that I FINALLY heard a doctor tell me I don’t have to lose anymore weight. May God bless you both. Know you’re loved and appreciated💕
I gained 35 lbs after a death in the family this year. I’ve started a keto reset because I need to lose weight for a medical procedure. This video timing was perfect. I’ll be watching on repeat in the coming weeks. BTW I didn’t weigh myself for 6-7 months but I knew I had gained because my bra tight. Thank you for the info!
Lol i would click on the steak salad video. Any video you do is goo. You are entertaining, informative and down to earth. Thank you for this, you have encouraged me to start my reset tonight. I have been thinking about it for a week now so thanks for the push😊
Allulose is a rare sugar. What I've read and heard on podcasts is that essentially, this means it has 1 carbon molecule that's reversed from cane sugar. The body doesn't digest it like cane sugar, and it naturally works with the GLP-1 hormone helping you feel full and subdues hunger. It's something like 2-3 Tsp a day. Caveat... it can give you diarrhea if you overdue or introduce it too quickly. I'm an insulin dependent type 2 diabetic, and unlike other sugar substitutes, Allulose does not raise my BS. Love you guys!
Allulose is great! People can only metabolize 10% of it which means there is really only 0.4 net carbs in a teaspoon (such that labeling laws allow them to round down to zero). Unfortunately I would use 3 tablespoons or more in a pint of low carb "ice cream", 9 x .4 = 3.6 carbs not counting what might be in a topping like homemade honey, butterscotch or fudge sauce (which are definitely allulose to prevent crystallization). I too get tummy problems with allulose (as well as anything else people cannot metabolize) at quantity and judiciously use some pure sucralose solution drops in things that never get heated to 195F (where it degrades). Allulose does perpetuate my sweet cravings more than bitter/grassy stevia, so a "reset" for me generally means avoiding it for a while. I am T2 managed (not reversed, sigh) by eating keto/lowcarb and no longer on meds/insulin with my last HbA1C 5.4. I am very grateful that scientists figured out how to reproduce the exact molecule of rare sugar using corn and an engineered enzyme.
@lorim.4136 good job on the A1C! I got mine down to 5.8 since June from 8.2 on a combo lifestyle of carnivore and Keto. I am struggling with my weight loss, tho. It wasn't the priority for me as my A1C needed addressing and making the transition to this as a lifestyle and not just a goal. This video is encouraging for the times when Keto "friendly" becomes too easy to resist... and simpler eating keeps you satiated and craving free.
Someone’s probably beaten me to this sentiment, but Emily: when you said that some of us would say we would click on a “steak salad” video, then you said “no, you won’t”, but I bet I speak for MANY when I say that we WOULD click on that video, and others like it, because NOT for the “recipe”, but because we enjoy Y’ALL’S content! Truly-y’all are SO entertaining! If you doubt this, then you don’t give yourselves enough credit, because we really like the way that y’all present your videos! Thanks for another really informative and entertaining year of videos-I’m looking forward to 2025’s content!
Hey ya'll! Thanks so much for all the recipes! I went on keto seriously about 4 months ago and I have lost 35 lbs! I did walk on my treadmill for a hour everyday, 30 minutes at a time mostly. I will be 65 Friday and this is the first time that I really have control! So thanks again ladies!
My favorite keto food is keto sausage balls. Definitely high fat, but delicious. 1 pkg Jimmy Dean sage sausage. 1 cup sharp cheddar. 4 Oz cream cheese. 1/2 cup almond flour, 1/2 tsp baking powder. Mix together and make balls. Bake at 375 for 15 minutes, flip and cook 15 more minutes.
To my favourite RUclipsrs. Thank you for another video and all that you both do for this community. I’m low carb but love and watch all your videos and have tried many of your recipes to stay on track. Wishing you and your families a safe, happy, prosperous and healthy New Year. Much love from Toronto 💕🇨🇦
Hi girls. I think you girls have the absolute best attitude regarding the keto lifestyle. I remember many moons ago going on Atkins and getting to 119 lbs. I’m 5.2”. I was 19 at the time, lol. I thought I was so fat back then when in reality I was not at all. When I look at pictures of myself back then I really think I was nuts! The only reason I’ve gained weight is yo-yo dieting. At 67 and recently widowed, I don’t really care about being perfect anymore. I just want to do what’s easiest for me to feel good and have some energy. I’m going to try but I’ve already decided that those 2 or 3 meals I have in a week that are not keto but bring me fellowship are A Okay with me. Thanks for the encouragement. Love you both! ❤Wishing you and your family a happy and healthy 2025!🎉🎊
Can you please do a segment, where you do a, if you will keto restart and show what I eat in a day to restart. I think that would be very interesting for people to see the variety that can be eaten and still lose the weight, please, and thank you
I'm way older than you two. I did the original Atkins in high school back in '72! Getting meat tomorrow since we're supposed to have a polar vortex after New Year's so I want to make sure I have plenty to eat since I won't be going anywhere anytime soon.
I just have to say that I love you guys!!! You are such an encouragement to me. I too lost a lot of weight (65 lbs) back in 2017 and but a majority of it back on because of my "all or nothing" mentality. I was following a book called Protein Power, which was keto before it was a thing. When my Mom passed there was lots of chocolate where I stayed and I went off the deep end. Through prayer and a determination to be healthy again, I've finally started back. Your videos and recipes are helping so much as well as all the products focused on the keto diet. I just have to say thank you and I love your videos!!! 💞
Your attitude is sensible and realistic. I flip out sometimes too, but the guilt gets me eventually ...scared of gaining back too much. Thanks for your support and your creative recipes. January 1 is a new beginning after all the dinner parties of the holiday season.
I've been at a 1.5 year plateau. I am now decreasing fat, in creasing protein and even upping my carbs from about 25 to 50. So far I lost a few lbs. Time will tell. Sometimes I think it's good to shake things up a bit.
Of all the sites Ive listened to the past few days you young gals make the most sense. Im 66+ and working to drop 15 pounds after a loss of 90lbs years ago. Lots of water weight during December and Waaay too much off plan eating. So Here I go again. Love your philosphy...Reset!!....we all need to do that at times in our lives..dont ignore it! Give ourselves grace and get back on plan. Yes! Today do better! Lord, please guide and bless us all...one day at a time. ❤
As a person who is mostly carnivore, green beans with my steak sounds like a nice treat. My plant food intake is mostly fermented vegetables I make myself from cabbage, radishes, onions, etc.
I would love…love to see some basic cooking stuff. Like you said, you will be in maintenance a lot longer than weight loss phase. I’ve been in maintenance for 3years, coming back from a rough patch and it would be great to see what your basic eating looks like. Everyone cooks differently, pairs their food differently. I really love it when you talk to us about your thoughts on life and Keto.
I really think denial or searching for a “magic pill” is the biggest problem with many people. Denial isn’t effective, and there is no magical solution. Even keto takes awareness and effort and these ladies demonstrate that very well. 😊❤
Oh man, my dad died a couple years ago and also my brother had some issues…Im the only girl and oldest in my family. Talk about stress, talk about making meals for other people, no time to do me! I previously lost almost 90 lbs on Keto…gained back 50. Now ready for reset and getting it off while I have time to concentrate on my self.
Thank you!! So glad you posted before New Year's Day! I learned so much from you two today. It helps so much to hear your perspective about gaining weight. I think a reset will make all the difference as I come down from delicious holiday diversions.
Hi Sarah and Emily! I ordered Hero bread and they arrived last night. I’m doing OMAD to break my stall. I can’t wait to have the Hawaiian rolls with beef and eggs for dinner. Which one product of Hero you highly recommend? I’m making giant pizza for the New Year celebration by myself! Happy New Year Sarah and Emily!❤❤❤
Thanks Ladies. I was making seeded bread and low carb things, counting carbs but not calories. I started putting weight on and the seeded bread was the lightbulb moment when I worked out the calories! The carb value was nice and low but the calories were high. I now count carbs and calories, despite so many people being adamant that you lose weight when low carb, it certainly doesn’t work for me. It has to be low carb and calories deficit for me.
I started keto January 1st 2024. I decided I had to make some changes. I, like many people have been on every diet out there. I’ll be 64 in a couple of weeks. I don’t count anything either. Counting feels too much like a diet. So I try to make good choices. We all know what we need to do. But doing it is another thing. So we have to do what we can stick to. I only lost 25 lbs in a year but that is better than eating everything mindlessly and gaining 25 or more. Do it for better health. You will not regret it. ❤
When I've gotten off track, like now, fasting is my key strategy, get back to 24 hr fasts 3 days a week. I think you have also said in other videos that you often eat one meal a day. My fourth strategy is strict *no snacking*. If I want something, it is a meal
You both do Keto, kind of like I do. I have too much going on to ‘overthink’ it. I will say that we went off the rails recently due to the flu; the only thing that I cold stomach was rice and toast (real toast) with butter. That said, we are in need of our annual ‘reset’ which is very much like your plan! I ask my husband every year “just give me 2 weeks of strict keto…and then I’ll add in more interesting options”. Thanks for the reminder! Looking forward to your other videos you mentions on your other channel. Happy New Year!
Sounds like what I did. I was on high fat high calorie low carb for years. After Thanksgiving I needed to lose weight. I went to 1970's Weight Watchers diet. (Did this in 70's). Surprisingly it was easy for me compared to how I struggled with it before. I've lost 8 lbs and feel great (84 y/o). Did my body like this diet now because I flipped eating habits? Don't know. Working for me. I eat very little compared to what I ate before and more balanced.
Thank you so much for posting. I've gained over the holidays and now have 20-30 lbs to hit my hoal wright again. Going to see if you have any bideos on high fat foods. 😊❤
Tomorrow is Jan 1 for me so New Years resolution is a KetoRestart :D I started Keto on Jan 1 in 2024 so it is only right I do a reset for 2025. Thanks Emily and Sara for talking me through this last 12 months
I totally agree. My weight before keto six years ago was just under 220lbs, and best weight after four years of keto was 163. The last two years I have fluctuated between 170 and 180. I’m cool with that, and I eat whatever I want within the keto carnivore universe and I’m six years in.
I watch all of your videos! Thanks for the very informative video. We all have been there and it's good to know that there is a workable solution. It can be done. We all have to hear that! Thank you! 😊
Cream cheese stuffed/ bacon wrapped jalapeños are my go-to for a reset. Whipped coconut cream with fresh berries are a favorite treat. I haven’t tried your coffee jello, but it’s on my list of things to do this week!!
I've found to lose weight, I need to reduce amount I eat and increase the exercise I do, the last is easier said than done since it's summer here and hot.
I just love you both!😘 You have saved me lots of time and effort by attempting to make these recipes for us Some with good results, sometimes not so good 😂 My Chaffles still aren’t as crispy as I would like Thank you for what you do
You both have been an inspiration to me since this past summer 2024. Top watched channel. I have learned so much! You have so many great ideas and qualities. ❤❤ Keep going.
I also prescribe to the idea not to eat when you aren’t hungry, and I don’t eat anything until at least 1pm, or later. Today I had a salad with shrimp & avocado at 2:30pm, and then I have a smaller dinner at around 6:30pm. In the late morning I will usually have a large iced coffee from Panera Bread. Not eating in the morning is usually frowned upon, because it doesn’t get the metabolism working, but it works for me, as the hardest time for me is in the late evening not in the morning!
All good info! I would add that for me the food has to taste really good and has to not take too long to prepare. A big problem with a keto diet is how long it takes to prepare everything which can get monotonous rather quickly, especially if you try to make everything like low carb condiments. Some go to is fried cabbage with sausage, bacon wrapped shrimp sewers brushed with sugar free bbq, and your mushroom hemp heart pilaf.
To make a veggie and steak video more interesting, you could try to find veggies that are unusual, like from an Asian store or Mexican store, or Indian store that are Keto and make meat and veg or a salad. One day I bought a jar of Dona Maria Nopalitos in the Mexican section of the store, which are cactus, and put some on top of a salad. I thought they were delicious!
I noticed if I eat past 6pm I always gain or stay the same I'm 62 and have lost 95 pounds since January 10th of 2024 I also get up by 5am I eat low carb only I don't always count calories but I also watch my saturated fat I try never to get more than 10 grams in a day and try to keep below 30 carbs a day l will drink a protein shake sometimes for my dinner I have the nutri creami machine
2nd comment, feeding the YT algorithm. My relatives make no concession at all to my keto/low carb eating at their holiday parties. It's pasta, rolls, candied ham, pies -- and all the rest. So I just build those few meals into the plan, and try not to overload my plate.
I've never expected others to know, understand or accommodate my needs. I still attend gatherings, I simply bring dished to pass that satisfy my needs.
@@rebeccariehle2764 I too bring my own dishes to pass and kind of challenge non-keto people to taste test for me (as my palate has changed over time) to see if my "crazy" version tastes good to them! The adventurous ones are generally surprised how good, or at least passable, it can be. I sometimes get asked for recipes.
Yes! As a math and science geek, multiple measures - especially averaged over a week then compared week-to-week - will wash out the noise of measurement error (esp. scale) and random fluctuations (esp. water/salt). Once a month I get on a body composition scale as well to get an idea of fat versus lean.
How about trying the shredded extra firm tofu hack that is supposed to taste like crispy fried chicken? Mine didn't get very crispy, but it is high in protein and has no net carbs.
Oatmeal is not found typically in a low carb or keto diet as it’s very high in carbs, maybe you mean oat fiber? Oat fiber is used in recipes on keto, but we don’t have much experience with it

Hey, me too. Hang in there, make your determined intention, then one day at a time.
@@whimsical9860 yep-me, too! I’m SO disgusted and frustrated with myself for being out of control!
Me too, I have 15 lbs to lose.

Thank you for talking about the maintenance phase. I've found that much harder than losing weight. It is truly the long term lifestyle adjustment.
Common sense advice, thanks! Weight and health is a moving target for most of us. Key is to not give up when inevitable setbacks come our way.
Love you guys!
thanks for the info! We really like allulose

My Chaffles still aren’t as crispy as I would like
Thank you for what you do
So glad to know it isn't just me !
Thanks Keto Twins for being real and helpful to us!😊 May God bless you and yours in 2025!!! 💜🙏✌️🎶🌞☃️✨️🎄
Thanks so much girls 😘 I'm ready for a reset and desperately needed my girls to help me out 😊
Aww thanks Lori! Happy new year 🩷🩷🩷
@ketotwins Happy New Year's to you too 😘😘
I had gastric bypass 2 1/2 years ago. I can count on one hand the number of times I've been hungry.
I cut back too, some times instead of eatting meat I will make egg drop soup for a meal.i only eat twice a day but sometimes I only eat one meal too.
You both have been an inspiration to me since this past summer 2024. Top watched channel. I have learned so much! You have so many great ideas and qualities. ❤❤ Keep going.
I have always said calories to count! Many people don’t understand and or listen
Great video gal's! Very helpful!
I roll shrimp in Buffalo wing sauce, throw it in a salad with crumbly blue cheese….its awesome.
The coffee jello dessert sounds like a great indulgence and I need to watch that video again! TY
I am going to look for the angel food cake and the keto cottage cheese cloud bread
In the description you’ll find all the links and a playlist :)
Love you guys ❤❤❤
I love you guys
I started cheating with 647 bread. And even that is like the gateway bread. Lol. I am back to cloud bread
I would love Sarah’s creamed spinach recipe!
I have 4.5 years of ketovore and I just know when to do what. I do not count anything. I like your encouraging videos.
I do pizza soup. All the pizza ingredients but no crust. Just extra sauce to make it soup!
Please do a segment on keto with nut allergies. My substitutions for almond flour never turn out
Thai beef salad keto style……I’d watch that 😎
yum! that sounds really good!
Thank you
To make a veggie and steak video more interesting, you could try to find veggies that are unusual, like from an Asian store or Mexican store, or Indian store that are Keto and make meat and veg or a salad. One day I bought a jar of Dona Maria Nopalitos in the Mexican section of the store, which are cactus, and put some on top of a salad. I thought they were delicious!
THANK YOU!!!!!!!
❤😂🎉new year & same Ole 10 lbs. Here we go again.
Thats so tough! Eat before you go to any event and it will help keep you on track! We do this every time we go anywhere :)
I weigh myself every single day so I know if I've gained a single oz
Same! I just consider it part of my morning bathroom routine, it only takes a few seconds, so why not?
Yes! As a math and science geek, multiple measures - especially averaged over a week then compared week-to-week - will wash out the noise of measurement error (esp. scale) and random fluctuations (esp. water/salt). Once a month I get on a body composition scale as well to get an idea of fat versus lean.
"Cloud Bread"? Where do you buy that or do you make it yourself?
I gained 20 lbs back while on Keto
🍕 pizza 🍕
How about trying the shredded extra firm tofu hack that is supposed to taste like crispy fried chicken? Mine didn't get very crispy, but it is high in protein and has no net carbs.
Chicken sounds better!
I guess everything old is new again. The original cloud bread recipe (from years ago) used cottage cheese, not cream cheese.
Try the oatmeal bread, can we have oatmeal 🤔
Oatmeal is not found typically in a low carb or keto diet as it’s very high in carbs, maybe you mean oat fiber? Oat fiber is used in recipes on keto, but we don’t have much experience with it
Ok thank you I'll try oat fiber
😃
💗♥️💗🤗
Show me how to cook a perfect medium rare steak, I would watch. 😂
Sous vide it! It’s hard to mess up that way lol
I am nodding.
