yup! also magnet force works on both rock AND machine cards, so even without the magnet warriors, he could have used his gadgets with ties of the brethren or blockman tokens to trigger slifers second mouth. also ties of the brethren would work on magnet warriors, so he could have used multiple different card combinations, even if one falls through.
you know what is nice about this is how much work went into structuring the deck with cards that, for all we know, WERE the exact hands each player had during the duel. Even more so was when i read how Yugi actually would have decked out at the point this duel ended because of how much draw power was given to him.

What's crazy card of Sancity is considered fair in the anime but in life if it had it's anime effect it would be way to strong of a card. What's kinda crazy card of Sancity after the original anime was never used again in the Yu-Gi-Oh spinoffs I might be wrong gx could have used it to but I am not sure.. either way card of Sancity doesn't appear very much after the original anime I wonder if it was to broke..

Atem didnt use it because it battle phase. Before the battle phase He dont know about yugi trap card that will raise Sword man ATK. That why he didnt use pot of greed before battle phase.

Yeah since it was still his turn he played it during his main phase 2. However in the anime its implied he played it during his battle phase which shouldn't be allowed. But since they were trying to follow the original Manga during that part the writers cheated. In the Manga Atem played monster reborn from his field. And in the Manga you can activate spell cards (even non quick play ones) during your battle phase or even during you opponents turn in some cases.
yeah if they followed the rules like in this scripted duel. He would have revived Slifer but wouldn't have been able to attack and it would have returned to the graveyard after he ended his turn leaving him wide open. I guess he could have had a monster in his hand to put in defense mode but ending the duel with Yugi just wiping out his defense monsters would have made it less climatic. And Atem wouldn't have lost my deck out either since in the anime he still had cards left in his deck by the end of it.

@@giuliobertino7225 in the end, it would have brought yugi to 75 life points, as he halved his lp twice after that. but atem was probably afraid of makiu, as summoned skulls atk is higher than dark magicians defense if we go with the real life effect, or a 1000 points field power bonus from duelist kingdom anime effect.

This duel is silly in the cartoon. Yami could've used Obelisks effect any time he felt like, sacrificed two monsters and inflicted 4k of damage. Smh
