- Season 4 of Dragonflight has introduced a new currency called Antique Bronze Bullion that you can use to purchase raid items, and in this video I'll go over the best choices for every single spec.
If you're looking to learn more about getting caught up in Season 4, you can check out my Alt Catchup Guide here: • How to Catch Up in Dra...
I've put together a gigantic raid guide which covers all 26 bosses across all 3 Dragonflight raids on Normal and Heroic Difficulty. It's REALLY long (2 1/2 hours), but the entire thing is timestamped so you can easily skip to the part of the video that you're interested in. Since I've gotten multiple comments asking this, I want to clear it up in a pinned comment: Seal of Diurna's Chosen, the ring that procs off fire damage, is useable by EVERY DPS AND TANK! The Amirdrassil Helm Enchant that you get as part of the in-raid questline gives you a fire damage proc, and this can trigger the ring. That's why the ring is recommended for the vast majority of specs. If you don't have the helm enchant yet, go get it. It's free and takes ~1-2 weeks tops to farm just by running LFR.
Thank you for this
"for all five people that still playing affliction" :D made my day mate, afflicter here!
Same here, had an affliction mage main since vanilla, and just love the dots!
Guess that means there's three more who need to respond??
I laughed so hard at this
I feel attacked as an Affi... LOL
Really good video. Helpful information presented well.
Thanks
Great content! Thanks for the tips!
Great guide 👍
thanks for the video man
“For all 5 people still playing affliction” haha shots fired. Also, ty for the time stamps!
Regarding Mistweavers I can explain it pretty simple:
Seismostaff has among the raid items the absolute best stats. The only competing weapon is from uldaman which you first need to get, which is hard enough due to a big loot pool, and then, it'll be only 522. And Int is beating up so much the slightly better secondarys from uldaman staff, that the seismostaff is better.
Nyume staff is a competing option for M+, but for raid the stats are absolute garbage. Unless your raid is interested in getting more damage out of you, it's just not a good staff.
Seedling is indeed a great option to pick as well, for example, when you already got a good staff in Week 1 with high Ilevel, BUT: Only if you haven't got it yet from S3. The S4 version is compared to the S3 version not THAT much better, besides primarys. So taking smth else over seedling first, when you already got a S3 seeding, is more than a viable option.
For the explanation why and how mistweavers think so harldan :)
Weird thing is that staff wasn’t available for me when I looked for it last night.
I can kinda understand the logic behind that, but I still think it's a waste of Bullion. The entire point of the system is to purchase key/rare items that either massively boost your performance or allow your raid to access multiple rare trinkets in a short period of time. That's why almost every single spec recommends getting a "Very Rare" item as the first or second choice, since the chances of winning it normally are low.
Again I'm not a MW expert, which is why I still wanted to include the info in the video because if you and all the theorycrafters I read insist that it's the correct pick, who am I to say they're completely wrong.
I play MW also. for sure picking seismo over nymue all day
Thank you!
That affliction comment, oof. Thanks for the guide!
good job
For MW I opted for neltharions call to dominance because it can go to 535 from bullion vendor and I got an ashes trinket in my vault. Somewhat off meta and I havnt really tested it yet but my celestial window should be absolutely insane, with the added bonus that both are really good for WW too. Although I’m not sure how I feel about double haste trinkets, especially on WW… but it’s like 15k int or agility on 2 min cd with both trinkets and they proc together/line up with celestials perfectly
edit: 19k agil actually. for reference my 506 ww has 11k unbuffed
pretty much agree with your assessment
THANK YOU
Awesome video, thanks for the info, but Fyralakk axe didn't drop at all for me, so, for a ret pally, what 2H is the best alternative? Thx
I would not recommend purchasing a generic 2h weapon until you get Fyralath. The bad luck protection has been massively buffed, so just keep running it until it drops.
MW recommendation is spot on tbh, I went with. Nyume tho as I don’t raid.
Sitting here sweating as a boomy with Vakash from s3 trying to decide whether to go with the upgradable version or one of the trinkets instead
Hey Harldan! I just started playing retail again and im pretty behind with all the quest stuff and whatnot. Slowly i am catching up but i dont know if should wait with the bullion item for the axe or is it to late for me to grind it? I pretty much only run m+ and i have no clue if its worth to wait or just spend the bullion on the trinket. (I havent started the axe quest thing at all)
If you aren't close at all to the axe you can just go with the second option for now. You can always pick up the axe upgrade later on once you have it.
Marks’s second choice is not grieftorch but nelth’s call of dominance. But otherwise amazing video
Probably worth mentioning Broodkeeper ring for vdh. Doing about 10-12% of my healing, not even fully maxed to 535 item level
this is actually how I'd like wow to be, merchants from main city trying to obtain rarest materials from raids and you trade/craft gear with those materials. So no actual gear dropping from raids.
Supplementing gear drops from raid, I agree, it's a great system. No loot from raid bosses sounds really anti-climatic though.
@@bub64882he’s not saying no loot at all. But maybe just drop materials and then the player can choose what to trade it for.
Erranog ring is probably the best choice for warlocks atleast as you will have a chance for the weapon and trinkets to drop in the coming weeks
outlaw rogues want throncallers claw and not the ring or trinket, weapon dps is BIS
For real, the ring is nothing compared to thorncaller as far as an instant power gain.
There’s no shot you say Djaruun like that
Got myth off hand from raid out of the vault so i went with Vakash on my Shadow priest no more weapon farming :)
Any recommendations for a fellow shadow priest? I got neltarus gift trinket from m+. What should I buy first. Also vakash? (Only got a champion offhand ). Or should I go for the class trinket?? Any ideas? :). Mikâbella. Is my priest If U want to check me out hehe
I'll collect them for at least 3 items 😮
Intense !
Bro I'll take what ever I'll get from lrf , that's my weekly thriller.
Lol. No way was I passing up my chance to grab Ragehearrt on my VDH. I love shield damage trinkets. Pure damage ones can go dig a hole somewhere for all I care.
I grabbed rageheart for my resto shaman. Pure vers and a huge dmg shield plus aoe damage for m+
As a vdh who loved Rageheart, I personally think it’s a bad first option for bullion. Just like thorncaller, I rather wait to see if I get rageheart to drop naturally from the raid before wasting bullion on it. Also there are a lot more options now for shield trinkets that are better.
Noah VHD mentioned that Reageheart has been nerfed in S4. Not sure if it is still the best option. But if you enjoy a specific build and play style, then ofc it is the best option :)
Have a blast and enjoy
Damage reduced down by 5% that's not a complete nerf. While having it is basically an extra defensive cd for a tank while boosting the huge versatility. Until everyone is decked out in 520+ having that extra cd and dmg buff from this until you can just roll dps trinkets, this trinket is a great option.
time stamps would be appreciated :)
for arms u need cata trinket if u are doing raids only. It's kinda useless in M+
Small thing for BDK's can go maniac grieftorch as well first. Or secound. The dps boost and stat itself is a relivef. Combined with lichborn at pulls or vampiric u wont die via cast or by kiting mid cast (now u can move while casting). U get a 20-25% more dps all time dungeon and raid. So as a bdk main i recommand maniac grieftorch first. But if u struggle with stats eranog ring
Small note. Dks aleardy have a lot of resistance. U dont need 2 tank trinkets on it (at high ilvl)
Not really sure what you're talking about. Fyralath is without a doubt the best upgrade for BDKs first. Grieftorch is good, sure, but not good enough to justify taking before the other objectively better options.
@@Harldan1 you are right. But i am saying without having the legendary. Cuz myself i dont have it for exemple (unlucky)
@@Harldan1 andd.. with grieftorch u can play with umberial embrius i think is called. The talent giving u a shield over the damage of blood plague when vampiric blood is on. With the set is actually a good combo. Pretty strong. Yes u lose the 25% bonus dmg when blood shield from death strike is active. But that's the reason u take grief torch.. cuz ngl that blood shield does not last long for you to actually benefit from it
Why do spriest get eranog ring? Do they have any fire damage to proc it?
Thanks to the Amirdrassil Helm Enchants, every single class in the game now has a source of fire damage to proc the ring.
@@Harldan1 wow thanks for the info
YO WHERE ARE THE TIMESTAMPS!!!!!
Didn't have time before raid, but they'll be up soon :P
How many item will we be able to get his 4 or 5 items
Entirely depends on how long Season 4 lasts.
Why would prot warrior take a ring based on fire damage?
All classes can proc the ring with the Amirdrassil helm enchant.
its easy for my dk i take the legendary upgrade
Rageheart for all Tank Classes and also Ret all the way
prot pala doesn’t use rage heart
Rageheart is FINE for tanks, but I would absolutely not recommend getting it first. Most tank specs have equal or better trinket options both defensively and offensively. Additionally, while Rageheart is "Very Rare", it's really only tanks who want it (minus some exceptions for people pushing high M+, but that applies to an extremely small number of people), which means you won't have any competition if it drops. I do not think any tank should be grabbing Rageheart early.
what if we don't have the Leggo and are just hopelessly unlucky
I gave alternatives to the Leggo for every single class that has one.
I don't see a single Rshaman using dreambinder, am i crazy?
Any chance we can get this in text format to make it easier to refer back to later please?
I'll try to put that together after I'm finished with raid.
@@Harldan1 thank you
LoL......they didny say augry....bis trinket for most melee dpa class. 20++ mil dmg
Mistweavers have ALOT of good trinkets, they do not need the seedling with their output, the weapon is literally the best weapon you can get this season unless you're fortunate enough to get the 1 mythic plus alternative in your vault. I'm surprised you can't see this if you're someone who's trying to give information out to an audience. granted this video isn't your knowledge of classes rather just your ability to turn a wowhead post into a video.
What about paladins that spent their bullion on fyr’alath and can’t upgrade because of the bug ?
Yea it's unfortunate Blizz managed to fuck that up.
Obviously upgrade their legendary..lol..what legendary ..on week 900 and still no drop for either paladin warrior or dk :(
That's unfortunate, but I did provide backup options in the video in case you don't have it yet.
Hey, anyword on the SoD phase 3 waylaid farms?
I'm no longer playing SoD, so I don't plan on making further videos to cover it. Sorry.
@@Harldan1 ah bummer
With all 5 people still playing affliction.......ROFL AAff been dead for almost 2 expansion
Do not get neltharian trinket....proc rate is horrible
NOPE. I will say it again: SIMM, SIMM, SIMM. For my Sin Rogue, NCS was, by far, best first item. Ashes were waaaayy down the list in the negative.
While you're correct, the reality is that everyone who actually understands how to sim their character isn't going to be watching this video. This is meant as a quick cheat sheet for new or returning players that aren't super knowledgeable about endgame systems and just want to understand which items are best for them.
Too late -_-
You'll still get plenty of bullion throughout the season, so if you bought the wrong item you can just get the right one next time.
@Harldan1 it's okay. I got the staff for both my lock and mage
paladins, DKs and warriors, if you do not have the lego yet... just get the fcking 2h wpn, do not take trinkets or w/e bs they tell you. you want wpn and since you do not have lego yet, it may take few weeks until you get it... leaving you with trash wpn from previous phase
Sorry, but that's a very, VERY bad suggestion. There are plenty of easy to get weapon upgrades this season, if you're stuck with a weapon from Phase 3 you're doing something very wrong. Wasting a limited currency on a bad weapon that you'll eventually replace is an actively harmful suggestion. Anyone without the legendary should either take their next-best option or save their bullion until after they've obtained it. Catchup is easy now for any serious players, and realistically speaking if you can't get your hands on the legendary then you aren't doing serious content anyways, and none of this actually matters.
@@Harldan1 well the “eventually replace” can take weeks. last season I got ONE weapon to drop for me and so I’m not taking chances. right at this moment, the wpn is bigger boost than any trinket. and idk what serious player is, but I just do weekly HC raid clear and few M+. thanks for the reply tho, maybe I’m wrong tho, but I’d rather be wrong and have sick ilvl wpn than be stuck with the trash
It's not a case of needing to pick between one or the other. You can still clear the content you mentioned with a generic M+ weapon that you upgrade with Flightstones and Crests. The only difference is that your M+ weapon can be farmed for free, whereas spending bullion on it now wastes a valuable resource that could have been saved for an important trinket that you can't reliably get anywhere else.
If you haven't yet spent your bullion, I would again strongly advise you save it. However, I get the impression that you already spent your bullion on a weapon and are now trying to justify your decision. If it works for you, that's fine, but it is objectively bad advice and is not something you should be recommending to other people. Anyone serious about progressing their character should wait until they get Fyralath.
RSham is wrong on trinkets. Plenty better trinkets than those he mentioned.
Take it up with the Resto Shaman theorycrafters, my information is sourced from them.
