I can totally relate (INTJ). My wife and kids are pretty much my only friends and I am okay with that. Society tries to make introverts into extroverts and introverted feeling function stack personalities into extroverted feelers. I am happy being me and no longer care about what society except.

i dropped many friends along the way, esp when i find myself so stressed up trying to filter my words just to suit their "needs". i prefer to be with people who can embrace criticism and open to all ideas without getting offended or being too judgmental easily.
As an INTJ, I don't like the superficial Hi-hello friends but I do Like to get my money paper straight and also uplift my friends that are deeply connected with me.

Most people don’t care about the answer to their “hey how are you” anyways, I don’t get why they even ask that question when they don’t care about the answer to that question lol. Better to just keep quiet than talking nonsense
I can relate to you. I am alone most of the times, but don't ever feel lonely. However ever since being in Hawaii, I have made a lot of friends who share similar life values. I don't hang out with them all the time ( couple of times a year), but it is really refreshing to get their perspective and have a support system ❤🥰 loved this! And loved seeing your dog.
Haha.. Really? That's really cool. I think INFJ and INTJ are similar in most of the aspects except for F/T of course. You only see them 2X a year , even though so close by! :) Thanks for loving my puppy. He's an amazing babe. I am really hoping he can play with your 2 dogs if we can meet one day :)
A few words from an older INTJ... 1) "Friends" will _never_ "GET" us, so accepting that REALITY now while you are younger, will save you from ALOT of ruminations after the fact... & much less wasted time. I made both of those mistakes & came to the conclusion after DECADES, that the concept of "Friends" is over-rated... I am the best _friend_ I've ever had. 2) In parallel w/1), expanding our data sets to advance our objectives does not afford time nor effort in social endeavors... I found them to be more lessons in frustration than anything positive. Hard core SCIENCE is my field & I became an island unto myself, enforcing my standards, one of which is "I don't play where I work" ... 3) "We" may well not be "moved" by titles, but almost every other personality type is, & eventually you will be sought out for "whatever THEY think you can do for them" cloaked in "friend" ....hence back to 1).... I walk ALONE...💜

Wow Catherine, what u said is almost the same as what my bf said lol Im infj and i just lost my circle of best friends in 2020. I always have the thought that we must have at least 1 or 2 close friends otherwise there's something wrong with us... We are either not that likeable or have a bad personality that we have 0 friends.... So the loss are a huge deal for me and i couldn't agree with what my bf said... That friends doesn't matter... They have their own family and priorities. What matter most is husband and wife coz we gonna spend our lifetime together. So now what u said here resonates abit with what he said lol.... Do we really can "survive" without a true friend? While true friend (or even genuine persons) are indeed difficult to find, but i still hope there's a miracle for me to find 1 true friend in future haha but i wont expect it as the previous hurt was too great

And im the one who dispose my group of best friends when i have realized that our relationships has turned to be a faked one over the years unfortunately.... Since they are now married with kids while im still single (tho i have a bf whom i will get married to) Hmmm i dont know if im what u said, needing validation from others, or not self confidence to stand alone.... i just treasured them since we were more than a decade of friendships... And we rarely meet since we stay in different countries.... But i shall think of it... I do wish im more stronger =) thank u for ur replies
I am essentially friendless now. For my whole life I have been really introverted and shy and prefer my own company and just a few friends I can really connect with. My wife was my best friend for many years. But she divorced me earlier this year. It has been very hard, being 2020 the timing couldn't be worse, as I have been isolated by the pandemic which made me deal with a lot of pain and loneliness on my own. So I am thankful I have a few outlets to keep me grounded. One is your channel which I discovered by chance. I enjoy your thoughtful insight for being so well traveled and educated. You have a unique way of seeing the world. Your videos help so keep it up!

Although we are a small number of people like us, I'm still very thankful for having such a small community to support our feelings and situations. 2020 really sucks. Sorry to hear your situation. I had my fair share of losses too in 2020, situations i thought impossible to happen, but they do. Today is 2021, things will be better. If u understand Chinese, there's this word: 苦尽甘来 Cheers!
So relatable, YES, most people are queries on how we live on our own terms. But for me live and experience life without explaining to others is way more liberating and peaceful. It also give us the FREEDOM we need. In many ways, it make me STRONGER to face life on my own besides having my family there. People think we are Weirdos, but if you look into all the people out there....we understand that most of them constantly struggle pleasing someone else in life and forget to live life the way it is.
I don’t just “choose” not to have friends; I wouldn’t have any if I wanted them because others find so many of my traits off-putting as an INTJ. Adjectives a lot of people have used to describe me are: weird, creepy and arrogant. It’s been that way as long as I can remember. I’m sixty, so that’s a long time. I am a retired computer programmer and now play video games full time when not walking my dog.

This Is the first INTJ female video that I related to this much. You hit every point to the T and it's so difficult for others to comprehend that we are actually content to live like this. When I was younger 12- 20 I used to have many "friends" despite my nature to not chase anyone. Usually they would come to me or my group of friends. When I entered university and started from zero ( my friends went to other universities) and everything changed. I prioritized self development and seeking knowledge over socializing. I built my identity and found immense pleasure in taking calm walks by myself and skimming the library for history books after my classes. It's hard to explain but genuinely I felt a sense of peace and my life had almost no drama compared to when I had many friends. My best friend (INFJ) felt like a soul mate to be throughout my younger years. There wasn't a single dull moment with her and we would understand each other from a glance. Until now I've never found a person that I connected to well as her. Sadly issues came between us and we parted ways. Nevertheless INFJs are the only type maybe along with INTPs and INFPs that can make want to spent time with others than alone.

As an INTJ, I agree. The vast majority of friendships are transitory anyway. The effort you put towards bettering yourself, and the relationship you have with yourself, is not.
Completely agree with you, we only need a few true friends in life. Love this quote " A good friend is like a bra, hard to find one you're comfortable with, always provides supports, holds you tight and is always close to heart! " I feel more lonely as I grow up because of less friends, but Ionely doesn't mean unhappy, I gained more quality time to do things I love and to reflect my life.

Once again, excellent topic which is relevant to many of us. Life is ...... Many of us are so caught up with the daily task and leave very little "Me" time. Before we know it, we find ourself burnout and stressed physically, mentally, emotionally n also, spiritually. We neglect to take time to take care of ourselves. The choice is there either me first or others first. In this unforgiving world out there, we succumb to be enslave with work, family, n friends pressure to meet the need of others. We leave very little for ourselves. Everyone should take a step back n take time to recharge n respect your time. Work can never finish Family will always be there Loyal friends will be there The "ME" is imperative, detached from all connectivity incldg Internet. Make time for yourself and not succumb to others need. Its an insane world we are living now, its toxic out there. We, deserve the time n space. .....we all have a choice. Thanks for sharing KK.

I only need one good friend rather than dozens of so called friends. Even a pet can be the best of friend. True friends are hard to come by, one who can stick to you even when youre out and down.
I agree. Its not that I don't like other people, its just that they offer little to the discussion especially those who are high in neuroticism and are an emotional roller coaster. When I get involved in a discussion, its purely intellectual without bias but a desire for the truth.
I admire on your idea as INTJ. Each has personal idea & behavior and respect each other is enough. I still jealous for your travel 143 countries, at least U have great experience which no one can have.
INTJs - I don't think we will ever FEEL lonely, but that doesn't mean we are not experiencing loneliness. Feeling are pretty low on the priority - but still being part of a tribe is important to humans. I think some of us have accepted the "no tribe " mentality because we are a rare type and that is why we don't feel lonely.

As INTJ female, i preferred have no friends than i lost friends. And that's what i have now... I lost my the only close friend who had been around 10 years, and recently she avoided me because we aren't no longer same "frequency". At this point i regretted myself that i made a friend

Hey, I'm an INTJ too (mistyped as an INFJ before but realized I was Fi and Te user not Fe and Ti user) and I tend to struggle with friendships. INTJs are believed to be the most introverted humans on the Earth. They tend to share traits with people with Schizoid Personality Disorder. The difference is that INTJs do truly crave for intimacy and Schizoids don't care about intimacy at all. Of course, that doesn't mean INTJs and INTPs are more prone to develop Schizoid Personality Disorder than any type. That makes sense about struggles of befriending with people. Not because we suck at socializing or have bad social skills. We see friendships in a different way. It's important to take friendships seriously because we'll know the value of them and feel importance of them. The world isn't full of geninue people. Emotional detachment is a result of not being true to yourself and also, people discarding who you are. According to an INFJ named Carl Jung, loneliness does not come from having no people about one, but from being unable to communicate the things that seem important to oneself, or from holding certain views which others find inadmissible. That would be INFJ's biggest struggle but INTJs are trapped in between loneliness and emotional detachment. INTJs are actually more emotional than INFJs. INTJs knows how do they feel and is good at concealing them to avoid showing vulnerability to others. INFJs are unaware of how do they feel and are confused with their emotions because they use Fe which projects others' emotions on themselves too much. We are honest human beings and can stay true to ourselves but most people finds it hard to understand us. Only true friends would respect us and stay.

Not an INTJ (I am INFJ) but what you say totally resonate! Had a business degree but felt totally out of place in the corporate world. Eventually went back to school to pursue a master degree in psychology and I found my calling!

Something I learned is that it’s better to be alone than to be around those who make you feel left out or like crap overall. I never really had friends but tried all I can too fit in even though it resulted with me being alone, so I learned to accept it and it became addicting because I’ve learned that I was the only one who understood myself when others were trying to change me or out me down. I’ve been labeled all types of things, but being called “weird, edgy, creepy, morbid, unsociable” and etc seemed to be the go-to. I never cared the more I grew, and soon I became my own friend. It’s hard because the only genuine friends I have is 1 who stood with me since elementary school and my brothers. Another reason I cannot connect is because I still deal with my own childhood traumas and have low trust after being fooled by others I thought were similar to me. Finding someone who’s like me is a search only life might lead, but I have no interest finding ‘friends’ to fill some hole in me.
I again TOTALLY AGREE with you. I had travelled with my friends on tours and they are nothing but a pain in the ass. As we DO NOT have the same expectations and I like to take my time but they like to rush. I thought this was a holiday but being typical Singaporeans we are always never satisfied. We Singaporeans are too result orientated. There seems to be NO Real Joy in life.

As we get older we tend to have fewer and fewer friends. Especially with people who share the same interests and who you can have a great conversation with. Friendship is built through shared experiences, a lot of my friends I know through either graduate school, highschool, my local synagogue, the gym (when going to the gym was a thing). But I have always found that you have to put effort into developing friendships...especially as you get older. Like-42

@@TheKrazyKoala I'm actually not sure what my myer briggs type is. I suppose I could do a test. I've always felt like these tests are interesting and provide some insight into who you are, but they can feel limiting and not always accurate. You're trying to label a person as a personality type, but they can be so much more. Regarding friends, I do hang out with friends when COVID isn't going on. But I put myself into and create situations where I can meet other people. And as you do more activities with the same group of people, you become friendlier. I would also say, that if you share a lot of particularly difficult experiences together, you're friendship is even stronger. Yup...I'm a Jew :D

Hi! I'm 100% introvert as well! I'm 31 and I prefer to be alone for the most of the time because I need to reach goals for myself. The only person I want in my life is my future wife one day. That's all. So I'm glad there's other people who can spend time alone without friends. Also you are extremely beautiful!

Quality Friend comes from: 1. Same value and commitment 2. Honest and speak from the heart 3. Dependable and accept us unconditionally 4. Loyal don't speak negatively about you and give the benefit of doubt 5. Empathy for others and great at listening Yeah it's just these few good friends a hand full maybe not more than 5. I really wonder how do brides and groom have like 8-10 best man or brides maid... Sometimes I feel it's really just trying to make up the numbers.
I'm an ISFP. I don't think there are many of us around. I have no friends and I'm alone most of the time. I also travel alone. Even my mother thinks I'm weird. I will probably grow old and die alone, but I'm totally cool with that, I just hope I don't have to suffer in the process.

@@TheKrazyKoala I studied chemistry and worked in research, biochemistry and production depts at Roche Pharmaceuticals both in Basel and Welwyn Garden City. Before my workinng life, I hitchhiked alone 3 times from 1963-1965 to several different countries in Europe each time without spending any money on travelling. Many Germans, Canadians, Americans, Britons, and Japanese whom I met in youth hostels also did the same. Great to learn the lifestyle, culture and food of the various European people.
When we get older, become sick or incapacitated, we need to have family members, relatives, and/or close friends near us before we leave the world. But you are definitely right to become minimalist and able to fulfill your wish to travel, see and experience the various beauty of countries, nature, landscape, weather, their culture, living, food, and their indigenous belief. I have a friend rather similar to you, he can stays in a warehouse by himself for years. Even when he goes to his factory in China he also stays alone. Every time he comes back we would meet up for a coffee session talk about different things. We are not outliners, we are just not emotionally insecure. haha very comfortable with ourselves.

Base on your previous video show that you not only travel around a lot but staying different places some times. Your friend couldn't follow you around. So the people you meet are mostly short term
Since I'm a 14 year old INTJ, I tend to say, "When I'm older, I'm gonna be a detective and live in a nice big airy house alone, which will be super clean because I won't have to deal with messy partners/roommates. Everyone always replies, "Won't you be lonely at one point?", and I always respond with, "I have never been lonely in my entire life, and there's no way I'll ever start."

As an INTJ, I can relate to this very much! I also have single digit friends and none of them close really. I prefer spending all of my time by myself. Whereas most of my friends chase entertainment in their off time, as a curious person, I'm into infotainment and learning about all kinds of things such as technology, sustainability, environment, philosophy, etc. and ideas/skills that help us become our greatest self and improve the human condition. It'd seem like work to other people but it's play for me. I'm a full on nerd. And as with Naval Ravikant, "People prefer me from afar" and vice-versa. Great video btw :)

@@TheKrazyKoala Moving to a foreign country where no one looks like me meant I had to get used to being by myself. Spending time with yourself is important for the spirit and mind and I think that a lot of people avoid it.
I am quite this type too. If given choice, being alone is my preference. But I can join group activity too. But like to be alone is a personal choice on most occasions. Agree with your distribution curve, i.e, often the top 3% or so are the unique groups to the left or right. I prefer to be in isolation, doing things I love to do. That is the reason why I think you are a “ normal” person too.

I believe personalities of any type is necessary to have friends.. because good friends are like mirror they jus reflect you so can understand urself better..
There's nothing wrong with your choices as long as you made them and accept the outcome which ever direction it may go. It's better than being a blind follower. Like a Chinese saying: "酒逢知己千杯少，话不投机半句多." - Translation: "If there's no connection, even half a sentence is a waste of time."
Please, can you look into Objective Personality? It helps get an in-depth understanding of personality types. From the way you talk, I think you are an INTJ jumper like me. You are more in touch with your emotions and values more than the average Mbti INTJ.

as an intj, I really want true friends. I get along well with everyone at school, but when I try to go further and meet up with someone, they usually are busy because they have their own friends and family. I always see others within their friend group, having fun. I tried to integrate myself in a few, but obviously, that's hard and often unwanted (which is understandable). When I switched schools (we have a different education system) I made sure I had a good impression on everyone and connect with as many people as possible. I even had a close friend group. But then I befriended another girl and the other ones excluded me slowly and told me they hadn't noticed. But I felt unwanted and at the end, the other girl got closer to other people bc of me and eventually let me down too. I just don't know, why people keep doing that. Sometimes it really feels like we don't have a deep connection and that's fine, that actually rarely happens but I would still be happy about people who ask me to hang, not only me texting them every single time. Just doing stuff together, it doesn't even has to be that deep. But I think a lot of them don't even know that I don't really have friends or care about it. In Highschool, everyone has their social circle and people rarely are willing to expand it because why? Unless they click with someone immediately, but wasting your time on someone you like less then your current friends isn't worth it, right? I mean that's understandable. My motto is just like: At least I get along, and I'll get through until I graduate. Maybe then things will change. Because I'm tired of experiencing the same thing over and over again, its costing energy and time. Whoever has read so far, thank you..🥰 Its long and I don't mind if you didn't, but maybe someone feels the same way

First of all, you have beautiful face in your profile pix 😁 I’m a bit older than you, so high school time was a while back, but I do still remember my high school having similar experiences as yours, meaning I’m basically hanging out by myself. I feel awkward to ask to join them as they don’t seem to be inclusive because they all have their own social circles and I don’t know why they form social circle so fast. I also changed school system like you, in the beginning I also thought I could start all over, but in the end it also ended up being the same experience as the last school. I think it’s just our personality that is unique and they don’t feel we are the same type of people as them. But I’m happy to have you on my channel. Even one teacher pointed out that your communication skills matter more than writing skills. Why we have to survive this? I can totally relate (INTJ). My wife and kids are pretty much my only friends and I am okay with that. Society tries to make introverts into extroverts and introverted feeling function stack personalities into extroverted feelers. I am happy being me and no longer care about what society except.

I can relate to you. I am alone most of the times, but don't ever feel lonely. However ever since being in Hawaii, I have made a lot of friends who share similar life values. I don't hang out with them all the time ( couple of times a year), but it is really refreshing to get their perspective and have a support system ❤🥰 loved this! And loved seeing your dog.

A few words from an older INTJ...
1) "Friends" will _never_ "GET" us, so accepting that REALITY now while you are younger, will save you from ALOT of ruminations after the fact... & much less wasted time. I made both of those mistakes & came to the conclusion after DECADES, that the concept of "Friends" is over-rated... I am the best _friend_ I've ever had.
2) In parallel w/1), expanding our data sets to advance our objectives does not afford time nor effort in social endeavors... I found them to be more lessons in frustration than anything positive. Hard core SCIENCE is my field & I became an island unto myself, enforcing my standards, one of which is "I don't play where I work" ...
3) "We" may well not be "moved" by titles, but almost every other personality type is, & eventually you will be sought out for "whatever THEY think you can do for them" cloaked in "friend" ....hence back to 1)....
I walk ALONE...💜

Im infj and i just lost my circle of best friends in 2020.
I always have the thought that we must have at least 1 or 2 close friends otherwise there's something wrong with us... We are either not that likeable or have a bad personality that we have 0 friends.... So the loss are a huge deal for me and i couldn't agree with what my bf said... That friends doesn't matter... They have their own family and priorities.
What matter most is husband and wife coz we gonna spend our lifetime together.
So now what u said here resonates abit with what he said lol.... Do we really can "survive" without a true friend? While true friend (or even genuine persons) are indeed difficult to find, but i still hope there's a miracle for me to find 1 true friend in future haha but i wont expect it as the previous hurt was too great

I am essentially friendless now. For my whole life I have been really introverted and shy and prefer my own company and just a few friends I can really connect with. My wife was my best friend for many years. But she divorced me earlier this year. It has been very hard, being 2020 the timing couldn't be worse, as I have been isolated by the pandemic which made me deal with a lot of pain and loneliness on my own. So I am thankful I have a few outlets to keep me grounded. One is your channel which I discovered by chance. I enjoy your thoughtful insight for being so well traveled and educated. You have a unique way of seeing the world. Your videos help so keep it up!

Although we are a small number of people like us, I'm still very thankful for having such a small community to support our feelings and situations. 2020 really sucks. So relatable, YES, most people are queries on how we live on our own terms. But for me live and experience life without explaining to others is way more liberating and peaceful. It also give us the FREEDOM we need. In many ways, it make me STRONGER to face life on my own besides having my family there. People think we are Weirdos, but if you look into all the people out there....we understand that most of them constantly struggle pleasing someone else in life and forget to live life the way it is.
Having less friends brings a different kind of self-awareness and confidence.

I don’t just “choose” not to have friends; I wouldn’t have any if I wanted them because others find so many of my traits off-putting as an INTJ. Adjectives a lot of people have used to describe me are: weird, creepy and arrogant. It’s been that way as long as I can remember. I’m sixty, so that’s a long time. I am a retired computer programmer and now play video games full time when not walking my dog.

This Is the first INTJ female video that I related to this much. You hit every point to the T and it's so difficult for others to comprehend that we are actually content to live like this. When I was younger 12- 20 I used to have many "friends" despite my nature to not chase anyone. Usually they would come to me or my group of friends. When I entered university and started from zero ( my friends went to other universities) and everything changed. I prioritized self development and seeking knowledge over socializing. I built my identity and found immense pleasure in taking calm walks by myself and skimming the library for history books after my classes. It's hard to explain but genuinely I felt a sense of peace and my life had almost no drama compared to when I had many friends. My best friend (INFJ) felt like a soul mate to be throughout my younger years. There wasn't a single dull moment with her and we would understand each other from a glance. Until now I've never found a person that I connected to well as her. Sadly issues came between us and we parted ways. Nevertheless INFJs are the only type maybe along with INTPs and INFPs that can make want to spent time with others than alone.

We neglect to take time to take care of ourselves. The choice is there either me first or others first.
In this unforgiving world out there, we succumb to be enslave with work, family, n friends pressure to meet the need of others. We leave very little for ourselves.
Everyone should take a step back n take time to recharge n respect your time.
Work can never finish
Family will always be there
Loyal friends will be there
The "ME" is imperative, detached from all connectivity incldg Internet. Make time for yourself and not succumb to others need.
Its an insane world we are living now, its toxic out there. We, deserve the time n space.

INTJs - I don't think we will ever FEEL lonely, but that doesn't mean we are not experiencing loneliness.
Feeling are pretty low on the priority - but still being part of a tribe is important to humans. I think some of us have accepted the "no tribe " mentality because we are a rare type and that is why we don't feel lonely.

Hey, I'm an INTJ too (mistyped as an INFJ before but realized I was Fi and Te user not Fe and Ti user) and I tend to struggle with friendships. INTJs are believed to be the most introverted humans on the Earth. They tend to share traits with people with Schizoid Personality Disorder. The difference is that INTJs do truly crave for intimacy and Schizoids don't care about intimacy at all. Of course, that doesn't mean INTJs and INTPs are more prone to develop Schizoid Personality Disorder than any type. That makes sense about struggles of befriending with people. Not because we suck at socializing or have bad social skills. We see friendships in a different way. It's important to take friendships seriously because we'll know the value of them and feel importance of them. The world isn't full of geninue people. Emotional detachment is a result of not being true to yourself and also, people discarding who you are. According to an INFJ named Carl Jung, loneliness does not come from having no people about one, but from being unable to communicate the things that seem important to oneself, or from holding certain views which others find inadmissible. That would be INFJ's biggest struggle but INTJs are trapped in between loneliness and emotional detachment. INTJs are actually more emotional than INFJs. INTJs knows how do they feel and is good at concealing them to avoid showing vulnerability to others. INFJs are unaware of how do they feel and are confused with their emotions because they use Fe which projects others' emotions on themselves too much. We are honest human beings and can stay true to ourselves but most people finds it hard to understand us. Only true friends would respect us and stay.

Not an INTJ (I am INFJ) but what you say totally resonate! Had a business degree but felt totally out of place in the corporate world. Eventually went back to school to pursue a master degree in psychology and I found my calling!

Something I learned is that it’s better to be alone than to be around those who make you feel left out or like crap overall. I never really had friends but tried all I can too fit in even though it resulted with me being alone, so I learned to accept it and it became addicting because I’ve learned that I was the only one who understood myself when others were trying to change me or out me down.
I’ve been labeled all types of things, but being called “weird, edgy, creepy, morbid, unsociable” and etc seemed to be the go-to. I never cared the more I grew, and soon I became my own friend. It’s hard because the only genuine friends I have is 1 who stood with me since elementary school and my brothers.
Another reason I cannot connect is because I still deal with my own childhood traumas and have low trust after being fooled by others I thought were similar to me. Finding someone who’s like me is a search only life might lead, but I have no interest finding ‘friends’ to fill some hole in me.

I again TOTALLY AGREE with you. I had travelled with my friends on tours and they are nothing but a pain in the ass. As we DO NOT have the same expectations and I like to take my time but they like to rush. I thought this was a holiday but being typical Singaporeans we are always never satisfied. We Singaporeans are too result orientated. There seems to be NO Real Joy in life.

As we get older we tend to have fewer and fewer friends. Especially with people who share the same interests and who you can have a great conversation with. Friendship is built through shared experiences, a lot of my friends I know through either graduate school, highschool, my local synagogue, the gym (when going to the gym was a thing). But I have always found that you have to put effort into developing friendships...especially as you get older. Like-42

@@TheKrazyKoala I'm actually not sure what my myer briggs type is. I suppose I could do a test. I've always felt like these tests are interesting and provide some insight into who you are, but they can feel limiting and not always accurate. You're trying to label a person as a personality type, but they can be so much more. Regarding friends, I do hang out with friends when COVID isn't going on. But I put myself into and create situations where I can meet other people. And as you do more activities with the same group of people, you become friendlier. I would also say, that if you share a lot of particularly difficult experiences together, you're friendship is even stronger. Yup...I'm a Jew :D

Hi! I'm 100% introvert as well! I'm 31 and I prefer to be alone for the most of the time because I need to reach goals for myself. The only person I want in my life is my future wife one day. That's all. So I'm glad there's other people who can spend time alone without friends.

2. Honest and speak from the heart
3. Dependable and accept us unconditionally
4. Loyal don't speak negatively about you and give the benefit of doubt
5. Empathy for others and great at listening
Yeah it's just these few good friends a hand full maybe not more than 5. I really wonder how do brides and groom have like 8-10 best man or brides maid... Sometimes I feel it's really just trying to make up the numbers.
I'm an ISFP. I don't think there are many of us around. I have no friends and I'm alone most of the time. I also travel alone. Even my mother thinks I'm weird. I will probably grow old and die alone, but I'm totally cool with that, I just hope I don't have to suffer in the process.

@@TheKrazyKoala I studied chemistry and worked in research, biochemistry and production depts at Roche Pharmaceuticals both in Basel and Welwyn Garden City. Before my workinng life, I hitchhiked alone 3 times from 1963-1965 to several different countries in Europe each time without spending any money on travelling. Many Germans, Canadians, Americans, Britons, and Japanese whom I met in youth hostels also did the same. Great to learn the lifestyle, culture and food of the various European people.
When we get older, become sick or incapacitated, we need to have family members, relatives, and/or close friends near us before we leave the world. But you are definitely right to become minimalist and able to fulfill your wish to travel, see and experience the various beauty of countries, nature, landscape, weather, their culture, living, food, and their indigenous belief. Milliniel but Spicy Koala, Always stay safe, stay strong, and happy travel! Remember, Singapore is always your Home!
I have a friend rather similar to you, he can stays in a warehouse by himself for years. Even when he goes to his factory in China he also stays alone. Every time he comes back we would meet up for a coffee session talk about different things. We are not outliners, we are just not emotionally insecure. haha very comfortable with ourselves.

Since I'm a 14 year old INTJ, I tend to say, "When I'm older, I'm gonna be a detective and live in a nice big airy house alone, which will be super clean because I won't have to deal with messy partners/roommates. Everyone always replies, "Won't you be lonely at one point?", and I always respond with, "I have never been lonely in my entire life, and there's no way I'll ever start."

As an INTJ, I can relate to this very much! I also have single digit friends and none of them close really. I prefer spending all of my time by myself. Whereas most of my friends chase entertainment in their off time, as a curious person, I'm into infotainment and learning about all kinds of things such as technology, sustainability, environment, philosophy, etc. and ideas/skills that help us become our greatest self and improve the human condition. It'd seem like work to other people but it's play for me. I'm a full on nerd. And as with Naval Ravikant, "People prefer me from afar" and vice-versa. Great video btw :)

I am quite this type too. If given choice, being alone is my preference. But I can join group activity too. But like to be alone is a personal choice on most occasions. Agree with your distribution curve, i.e, often the top 3% or so are the unique groups to the left or right. I prefer to be in isolation, doing things I love to do. That is the reason why I think you are a “ normal” person too.

I believe personalities of any type is necessary to have friends.. because good friends are like mirror they jus reflect you so can understand urself better..
There's nothing wrong with your choices as long as you made them and accept the outcome which ever direction it may go. It's better than being a blind follower. Like a Chinese saying: "酒逢知己千杯少，话不投机半句多." - Translation: "If there's no connection, even half a sentence is a waste of time."

as an intj, I really want true friends. I get along well with everyone at school, but when I try to go further and meet up with someone, they usually are busy because they have their own friends and family. I always see others within their friend group, having fun. I tried to integrate myself in a few, but obviously, that's hard and often unwanted (which is understandable). When I switched schools (we have a different education system) I made sure I had a good impression on everyone and connect with as many people as possible. I even had a close friend group. But then I befriended another girl and the other ones excluded me slowly and told me they hadn't noticed. But I felt unwanted and at the end, the other girl got closer to other people bc of me and eventually let me down too. I just don't know, why people keep doing that. Sometimes it really feels like we don't have a deep connection and that's fine, that actually rarely happens but I would still be happy about people who ask me to hang, not only me texting them every single time. Just doing stuff together, it doesn't even has to be that deep. But I think a lot of them don't even know that I don't really have friends or care about it. In Highschool, everyone has their social circle and people rarely are willing to expand it because why? Unless they click with someone immediately, but wasting your time on someone you like less then your current friends isn't worth it, right? I mean that's understandable. My motto is just like: At least I get along, and I'll get through until I graduate. Maybe then things will change. Because I'm tired of experiencing the same thing over and over again, its costing energy and time. Whoever has read so far, thank you..🥰 Its long and I don't mind if you didn't, but maybe someone feels the same way

First of all, you have beautiful face in your profile pix 😁 I’m a bit older than you, so high school time was a while back, but I do still remember my high school having similar experiences as yours, meaning I’m basically hanging out by myself. I feel awkward to ask to join them as they don’t seem to be inclusive because they all have their own social circles and I don’t know why they form social circle so fast. I also changed school system like you, in the beginning I also thought I could start all over, but in the end it also ended up being the same experience as the last school. I think it’s just our personality that is unique and they don’t feel we are the same type of people as them. But I’m happy to have you on my channel. Same with me😢always alone... Everyone have friends circle in class but I can't fit in any Grp 😰this make me sad.... And I hate when teachers notice me on my bad social and communication skills... Even one teacher pointed out that your communication skills matter more than writing skills. Why we have to survive this? OK.i am okay to be alone but I feel ashamed when someone notice that I have no friends
First time to know about INTJ. Think if you have gone through and seen enough, you accept the truth and move on. Time is precious so, cherish those that matters.

The couple of friends I’ve had that have stuck around (for like 12 years) understand how I often I want to hangout. Ive got a couple solid ones in my life thankfully. Quality over quantity.

I just stumbled upon your videos and find it interesting and relatable. I am also from bay area and love Singapore, wish I moved there when I was young, Now I am retiring age and it is too expensive to retire there... What is INTJ? Also your title is a tease as I see you do have a few true friends, I feel I do not even have a few close friends to connect to. . I enjoy being alone but what do you do when you feel you need company? what to do? Wish I am as brave or content as you do. lol.
