Good review. From a distance, this set looks great! The black/red/grey deco really sell the set. Upon closer inspection, this set is a lazy kitbash and seems phoned in. I really don’t have anything negative to say about the Range Viper. However, the bazooka trooper could’ve used some paint apps on his backpack and shells. It does seem unfinished, in that flat grey color. The Officer is the biggest letdown. His boots and face mask should’ve been a darker grey. His weapons load out should’ve matched his webgear and the knife should’ve matched the sheath he was given. Despite the mismatched equipment, it’s still a great looking set.
Right? At the end of the day it's a good set, but it could have been excellent.

Definitely a great set to compliment the Hiss tank. Albeit some QCs as expected , but will pick this up at some point. Great review my friend.

I passed on this set thinking it would be discounted. I just didn't think it was worth $80. Then it sold out. No worries. I'd rather have the SMS instead to complement the HISS. These are just kitbashed figures with new decos.

Cobra always had troopers and vipers and stuff. Who did the Joes have aside from the main characters? Who were their generic soldiers?
The Joes have basic greenshirts and several other kinds of support troops like the Steel Corps (or Brigade). They've been depicted in the comics, cartoons, and toys regularly over the years.
I’m going to try and use those blue blast effects in my eels backpacks. The officer holster for the back without the correct gun to store in it, was total laziness I agree.

It's the logo from the image I showed in the video. Poorly executed, but that's what it's supposed to be.
I wish I could share your enthusiasm on this set. I canceled my two pre-orders after I saw the first review. The only props I can give is the color design; I can't knock Hasbro there. But for the price, this is the LAZIEST re-use I have ever seen yet. Again, Hasbro refuses to use the actual Officer chest piece, that has the rank. Then, they didn't even bother giving the Officer the gloves. So really what they did was just issue the same torso, legs, arms, and hands with different paint. They didn't even give you an alternative head. But, the most EGREGIOUS part of all this....giving the "officer" the Cobra Valkyrie weapon loadout but not changing the web-gear and holsters to support that gear. That knife is about half the size of the knife that was meant to go in that sheath. The snub-nosed auto-pistol doesn't fit well in the holster meant for the Mouser. Then, the futuristic AR, doesn't really fit the AK back-holster. It was a lazy cash grab.
That said, I would have still gotten this if I had acquired a HISS; so...there is that.
That's kind of funny because I don't feel like I had a whole lot of enthusiasm to go around.
