I too stitched one of those pre-quilted/stamped baby quilts. My pattern was the alphabet with a design per letter. For the first letter, I didn't stitch to the back but quickly got tired of sliding the needle between the fabric to avoid a messy back. Then I saw how someone had used quilting fabric on the back and brought it around to create borders on each side. That gave me the freedom to stitch how I wanted. I also 'tied' the quilt like you. The fabric borders helped to tone down how much white there was too - since quilt edges get lots of wear, it that was helpful for that issue.. Anyway....it was great to hear your stitching history....almost like a walk through of modern cross-stitch as you name the top designers/styles, etc. of the era! Great floss-tube!!! I will look for your next one!

Its funny how much you learn from those stamped pieces! I continued on and made one for all 5 of my kids and they were a lot better than the first one lol.

Hi Sandi, really enjoyed your your Flosstube. I loved hearing about your relationship with grandmother and how she encouraged your crafting. I was very close to my grandmother too. I watch all the Flosstubes you mentioned, all are very talented. Excited to see more of your FFO’s. The ones you showed looked great.

Omg. I am so happy I found your channel. Love your history and work. Would love to see your past work that you have done. Since you have so many, maybe you can post one in the background on a easel every video. I was going to comment when you show your wips or picture to hold them up a little longer, but then Iove the end of video showing your work. Beautiful!!!!! Keep up the great work and hope to catch up on your videos. Thank you

Thank you for watching! Make sure to watch my other videos, my hubby told me to hold them up longer too after this one so I do try to now lol. I was so nervous on this first one. I am also including a lot of older ones as 2021 was my year of FFOs! I posted a 2021 video of FFOs. There was 130 total!

Oh Sandi, what a great flosstube! I have so enjoyed hearing your journey and seeing your pieces. I'm definitely a subscriber! IMO your flosstube was not too long at all. I also think the fact that it was so interesting and well put together made the time fly and I didn't really want it to end. Looking forward to the next one. I'm not on flosstube as I don't keep very good health but I love to watch others. Thank you for sharing everything.
