Nice to see you again. Praying for all school staff and students going back to school. Confetti stitching is always challenging, so any tips would be appreciated. Everything is beautiful as usual. God Bless You!
I miss my Southern Cal stitching group and the retreats, but we moved in 2019 to be closer to my folks and to our house in KY. I hope you get what you need for your class, my daughter is teaching 2nd grade this year so I purchased the big ticket items off her list. Always need to support our teachers, you are special people.
Thats great! We can all use the support. I generally spend a lot in my classroom every year. Clear the List really does help! Im sure your daughter is very grateful to you!
What an ordeal for your daughter and family. Hopefully you are on the road to putting this behind you. You mentioned die cut. I am interested in seeing that process. Witches exemplify Halloween. Just love them. ❤
Hi Sandi. I would love to see how you stitch. I mean how do you get so much accomplished? I would also like to know how you get your stitches so nice. I had watched some videos on shaving cream dyeing and even bought everything but never followed through on it. Someday I would love to meet a mermaid and learn the tricks to building a sandcastle. xx Michelle
It would be helpful if you showed yourself doing that closing up the back of your mini pillow thing that you told about, the one using the eie cuts, fusible interfacing, etc A mermaid enjoyed her last day before fish school began by building a sand castle!
Hi Sandi! You got a ton done! Congrats! Thx for sharing. I notice the big trend now is to never have to turn your piece over to start and stop your floss. I use 2 over 2 and while I understand how to start on top, I don’t get how when you restart the next spot with the floss loop already cut off…how you’d start that on top without dragging the floss under the other stitches on the back of the project. Hope I’m clear on my question here. Thx. Love the tips and tricks idea.
I am so glad you posted the video at the end of the shop in San Marcos. I live in Costa Mesa and it would be a field trip for me but I would really like to go the next time you all meet up. I couldn’t go last week because it was my grandson’s birthday. There used to be a wonderful cross stitch shop in Bakersfield that I would visit back in the day. It was about an hour and a half from where I lived at that time but I would go up,there once or twice a year. The two near me in OC closed during covid. I love dying fabric. I learned to dye it during the pandemic and I have a lot of 14 count that I dyed. I would like to better learn how to dye fabric using two colors. I did it and the results were okay but I would love some tips on dying with more than one color. And what person’s method do you use? I have used Priscilla and Chelsea and one other person’s RUclips videos. Any suggestions or how do you dye fabric. It’s so fun because you never know what you will get. I use a lot of my fabric that I’ve dyed when stitching my projects. Your finishes are beautiful as are your WIPS. Good luck with your new school year. As a retired teacher I understand how the first two weeks of school are very tiring and kinder is a whole different world. It was my favorite grade to teach.
Great video & I love your idea of sharing tips! I haven't been able to grasp & master 1 over 1, I started a Scarlett House on 32 count without reading the pattern first & it is sitting in my WIP basket. I should have started with 25 count, live & learn. I've watched a few video's & either can't see what they're doing because their hand is in the way or something. Your projects is always beautifully stitched!
Thank you, I will try to video myself stitching without getting my hand in the way! I know it can feel difficult but it is attainable. I use a light from Amazon that has 10 times the magnification and it helps tremendously!
I had the hardest time stitching the Algerian stitch in a recent WIP, i did stitch them however they are wonky or appear wonky to me. I would love to meet a mermaid someday until then I’ll just have to stitch them.
How do you change colors? I frequently want to change one or two colors in a pattern but never do. I’m not sure how to pick a color that will go. I chicken out and stitch with the called for. You change colors all the time and it always looks great. Love the mermaid pattern.

I can't believe you're headed back to work next week! I'll be at Friendstitch too. I'm dying to open that box!
Yay! Its going to be fun!!!🎃

Great idea!
Sandcastle. I just would like to see your stitchy spot and gadgets you have on hand when you stitch.
Great idea! I would be happy to share my little stitchy heaven!

Grand Country Quilts has agreed to host a monthly stitch-in the 4th Saturday of every month so maybe you can join one of these days

Sandi-is that a floor stand magnifier? If so which one?
@@janniestanley No its a light that has a base you can use or a clamp.
@@stitchinwithsandi I can definitely see how difficult it would be to film yourself stitching, especially a certain technique.
