Nice area up there, good footage from the drone. Those cicada going off...might be worth tossing a cicada lure about under the trees. Might be some bream about. Otherwise, well done bloke. Pity i cannot quite squeeze the boat up around there...

Any suggestions for going landbased fishing middle harbour for some flathead, bream and maybe some salmon

Salmon are kindof luck, in terms of time day place and middle harbour for flathead and bream... they are everywhere but I can't catch one to save my life. Flathead, I would try any of the flats, or anywhere Sandy. Good spot behind northbridge baths

you didn't use the 360? I'm kinda thinking about getting it.

I did in the scene where I paddled. Honestly, it isn't fit for fishing.
Keeping the lense clean is impossible, I go through lense protectors like there is no tomorrow, AND in direct sunlight, it gets this reflection on from the inside of the lense...
In retrospect, another gopro would have been cheaper and better

@@cballzoutdoors yes, I have in fact another GoPro I’m using 10 and 12. But I was thinking that, if I use Insta 360, I don’t have to carry 2 cameras, coz I can make one single video, and then in post, switch between front and back of the video, and I’ll also have audio for the front, and for the back, which is insane.

@4WLEX the quality is dramatically worse. It's like 5.7k but for 360 field of view, so for a normal shot it has like 720p. And the mics are not good so it's certainly a secondary camera for fishing. It's cool but a bit hard to manage with keeping stuff clean and away from scratchy stuff

    Hey,
May I ask where I can go flathead fishing using vibes and minnows in generally lake or estuary like areas up in the north coast?
I've come from rock fishing up in the northern beaches but generally haven't found much success flathead fishing for a meal other than a few rare occasions up at narrabeen. Any tips will help thanks!

So, generally I like tidal areas, because you get more fish moving in and out of the area, and you can find choke points with tidal movement. Also areas with lots of structure like boats, mooring ropes, marinas etc. This area would be great to try with soft plastics land based because you could walk around a variety of marinas AND there are shallow flats.
