- Going back to basics, using pilchard bait to catch some fish for dinner. With all the boys retiring during winter, Abu Tuna head out to a local rock fishing location with a rod and reel, a bag of servo pilchard bait, and one hour of fishing. It was a cracker session.
Rod: Ocean's Legacy Dream Cast DCL-S922ML
Reel: Shimano Stradic FL 5000
Braid: Shimano Grappler 20lb
Leader: Sunline Rock FC 20lb
Bait: the humble servo pilchards

Thanks Sean
Good session bro. Always good to catch different specied on some Pillies
Pillies are underrated
Quick solo sessions are sometimes the best…
It's always like this in winter, most of the fellas go into hibernation mode.
Fun quick sesh bro! Osssstt 🤙🏽
They call it a quickie 🤣

Mantapppp bro
Nice one bro
Cheers, thanks mate
where would we be without tweed bait lol
real
With a bunch of windy farms bags haha, nah Tweed are the OG's. Thank the lord, lol :')
Very productive
Very rare 😁
Looks like a safe spot
Like any rock fishing platform, it can be very dangerous in bad conditions
@@TeamKingiesFishingCrew ive fished there only a couple of times.killer walk out with a few gd snapper or a gd king
@@tiller_gorilla7220 where is this spot
hey mate, Love the content. I was just wondering if dioxins were a concern when eating fish from the Coogee area?
That's a great question. We haven't taken fish from that area for a while. I think it's something to conaider whenever the location is near a sewage drain.
Mas bro looks hungry go get some Ikan raja bro but fairly freezing outside in Sydney now
The colder, the bigger the fish get 😁
tariik broooo. besok gw ke Bali, let's see kalau gw bisa pergi mancing wkwkwk
Sama keluarga bro? Mancing make perahu, GTs 😁
@@TeamKingiesFishingCrew haha mudah-mudahan mancing bisa bro, gw bawa 5-pieces rod. Acara ngaben bokap nih bro
I can’t believe you kept that fish
Which one & why not?
@@TeamKingiesFishingCrew the trevally. On my boat there’s one rule.
No one keeps anything under 50cm
@@dankoz3286 not sure if you know, but those trevs between 30 to 40cm are better eating. But we just follow the legal limits.
hey, how much did you get that bag of pillies for? cheers
Petrol stations sell them for $11
Just a suggestion, try a float , take some bread , maybe get some drummer and catch live bait and get bigger fish .👍
Thanks mate. Hope you watch some of our other videos where we use live bait. This time I only had 1 hour to fish.
Bad memories at this spot. Had my medium setup stolen 😢
That's not good. Any idea who took it?
Great video mate, what was the outfit you were using for this type of fishing?
No idea bro. Was fishing with my heavy setup and had my back turned for about 15 to 20 minutes got tired then went to swap to my lighter setup that's when I realised it was gone.
@@1980FRANCIS that's dirty. What goes around, comes around. Karma will get them
@@rockfly8384 I added the equipment on the description
u reckon 40lb braid for a 6000 to big?
40lb is more suitable for 8000, better try 30lb. What fish are you targeting?
uhm just big fish, kingies ,etc. took it up to the hawkesbury but didnt get much, my mate told me to get 40lb so ive got it now🙃@@TeamKingiesFishingCrew
Seki
afraid the small trev was only about 27cm !!! it should be measured from the nose to the INSIDE "V" of the tail as with all fin fish ........
Not sure if you're in NSW, but here we measure to the end of the tail

My son asked why I paid $9.60 for bait prawns as I told him we fished 2 hours on that bag caught fish had fun best money spent and yes they where Tweed prawns
That's a great reponse. A cheap bag of bait can produce a priceless memory.
where about is this location cause I wana go rock fishing again but just havnt found any good spots:)
