      That's the understanding you came up with? lol. Russia has ramped up production to a X3 level for artillery. The US is not at zero for artillery and artillery warfare on this scale and for this long is not a strategy for any single country. This story is about how much ammunition (specifically artillery) one country is producing over another, nothing more.

    • @backfischritter
      @backfischritter 2 месяца назад

      yes their artillery stocks indeed went dry. Russia at the beginning of the war was able to fire 40000 shells a day with ukraine only beeing able to fire a few thousand. So CNN wasn't lying there. That is why russia ramped up the production to at least maintain some numerical advantage, even though its not as striking compared to the beginning of the war. They need arillery advantage as this is their key military doctrine.

    • @JimIBobIJones
      @JimIBobIJones 2 месяца назад +3

      Yeah, because time is a thing? Russia didn't produce a lot of munitions, as they had a lot of cold War stock. They have the factories but wasn't then able to run them at capacity.
      It takes time to restart long stalled production lines... I mean they were being forced to buy North Korean shells.

    • @SRB.4S
      @SRB.4S 2 месяца назад

      @@JimIBobIJones No, my friend, but you are very naive, so you believe in the lies and propaganda of the CIA media such as CNN, MSNBC...This is not the time for questions, but false globalist propaganda that you are falling for.
      Since CNN and similar media, in the first few months of the conflict, still announced that in 2022, "the Russians have no more ammunition, missiles... They cannot produce tanks, because they are stupid and backward, but they take chips out of washing machines, so again, after a few months, Russia has no more ammunition, they only have shovels"?!
      So it is obvious that CNN "did not know" that Russia has stocks from the Soviet period, but you see, you are better informed than CNN?! And now here you justify the lies and propaganda of CNN?!
      No, Russia does not have to buy ammunition from North Korea, because it only produces over 4 million 152mm artillery shells per year. And if he wants, he can also import from China, Iran, North Korea. The US and the entire NATO plus Japan and South Korea together can produce about a million 155mm artillery shells per year?!
      However, in the normal free media, this video title stood more than a year ago. People and experts knew this information and published it more than a year ago... But they were declared "Russian propagandists" by CNN?!
      It seems that those with CNN were "busy" with the lies and propaganda that they have been spreading for more than 2 years, so they finally admitted that they are mercenaries and liars of a gigantic scale. So now they started publishing what they previously called "Putin and Russian propaganda" "?! Something seems to me that everything, and everyone whom CNN, MSNBC... Proclaims "Russian propagandist and Russian propaganda"... In the end, it turns out, not only this, but 90% of what the Russians said is true! Which in the end they admit and publish, on CNN, but with a delay, a year or two late?!

      I think 3 in fairness, North Korea and Iran are both openly supplying Russia ammunition also, North Korea sold 1m+ rounds alone, poor quality, but numbers matter in a war like this. Russia is also semi-mobilised, and can ramp up production like a western war time economy. The west can't do the same unless their governments decide to, which they can't due political restrictions. Without pushing closer to direct conflict...we're fairly screwed.

      'Fun' fact: The Jan. 6 congressional committee falsely claimed it did not have evidence that showed former President Trump’s administration requested National Guard assistance, according to a report detailing a "hidden transcript" that was recently released.
      "The former J6 Select Committee apparently withheld Mr. Ornato’s critical witness testimony from the American people because it contradicted their pre-determined narrative. Mr. Ornato’s testimony proves what Mr. Meadows has said all along: President Trump did in fact offer 10,000 National Guard troops to secure the U.S. Capitol, which was turned down," Georgia Republican Rep. Barry Loudermilk said in a statement on Friday.
      Loudermilk released a transcript of former White House Deputy Chief of Staff Anthony Ornato’s interview with the congressional committee investigating Jan. 6 on Friday, following The Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway, also a Fox News contributor, reporting, "Former Rep. Liz Cheney’s January 6 Committee suppressed evidence" that the Trump administration pushed for 10,000 National Guard members to be on the streets.

    What people don't understand about GDP comparisons is that price deformations matter. For example the London Tube and the Moscow Metro are comparable in size and the number of stations. A day pass for the Moscow metro costs $3.50 is like $20 USD for London Zones 1-6. Transportation sector is part of the GDP composition, if we used this sector alone, it would seem that London has a GDP five times bigger than Moscow, but this has little to do with reality on the ground. Now if this was the Dubai Metro, the price in USD of the ticket would matter, because everything from the rolling stock to the rails and drilling services would have to be imported and paid for in foreign currency, but Russia produces all of this domestically so the what matters is how much a subway car costs in roubles and not in dollars. Therefore please stop using false narratives like Russian GDP is the size of Texas or Spain, etc, because they do nothing but distort. Russian economy is comparable to Germany as per the IMF and the World Bank (when price levels are adjusted).

    • @gaborszabo3110
      @gaborszabo3110 2 месяца назад +2

      GDP numbers don't matter, you are right, mainly because russia is not connected very much into the world economy. They can produce their own food, fuel and mostly the weapons BUT (and this is a big BUT, also was the fate of the USSR) they lack behind very much in advanced technology, imported all those things from the West like civilian airplanes, oil and gas pumps to make the pipelines function etc., and these are not easy to replace. They can rebuild this part of the economy with the help of china which is an ongoing thing, if you look at the car or mobile phone market of russia, but this is not a pleasant thing, vassalage to china... not very good. They will learn the hard way, a revolution in russia can be very close, we cannot really see the forces moving under the surface in the big cities of Moscow and St. Petersburg.

    NATO always faced this problem. Their counter was ISR, air power and precision. An artillery shell is just one part of a kill chain. It needs to get to the battery intact, it needs a good crew, it needs a good artillery piece, and it needs some time before it gets hit itself. Ukraine's problem is it just doesn't have the air power to offset Russian artillery. It has HIMARS, for now, and its own artillery, but that is just slowing the Russian advance. Ukraine will have some air power later this year, but we are likely to see that it is not enough air power to do much other than halt the Russian advance. Ukraine needs hundreds of aircraft and associated munitions to turn this around.

      If the west could produce AI for the FPV drones and just allow Ukraine to have autonomous drone swarm Russia would pretty much lose, there currently a coalition within Europe lead the by the UK to develop AI FPV drone swarms for Ukraine.
