That is the only way it works with the speed allowed in this country. Same as the obligation to use the right lane ("Rechtsfahrgebot") which is rarely obeyed and understood by drivers from low-speed countries.
Als Nutzer der ersten Generation kann ich hinzufügen, dass im 6.Gang beim eintreten in den Drehzahlbegrenzer der Tacho bei 345km/h stand. Nach den damaligen Messmethoden waren das echte 311km/h.
Hatte meine Gen.1 laut Tacho bergab mit Rückenwind bei 335km/h mir ging dann aber der "Stift" zu arg, wollte nicht drauf gehn, Reifen, Kette .. sonst was, ab 310/315km/h wirds auf dem Moped echt heftig. Aber 240 - 270 und mit aberegelten 7er und S-Klassen spielen, big fun. Lustig.
Not sure at all whether they actually went 300+... because when the default speedo shows 299, the actual speed you're doing is about 270. It's possible they actually did 300+ with GPS, but that would take several miles of straight blast.
Completely stock? Because I have gen1 2006 busa which did 280 on a standing mile while being completely stock, because the 2006 stock version has the power limiter in the ECU which only gives you full power in 5th gear. When I installed Ivan's TRE (Topspeed Removal Edition) which tricks the ECU to be in 5th gear all the time, the difference was quite big.
It’s the effortless nature of the acceleration. 0 to 200 is shocking. And how many gears for that? How long can a human ride at this bikes top cruising speed? I suppose it must have electronic suspension etc so the ride could be space ship smooth. It’s the bike we can talk about and debate about even if you have not ridden it. Quite acceptable to do that.
@@jm252 I guess from 0-100km/h the Hayabusa is faster, from 100-200 your Fireblade should be faster. Topspeed (without any restrictions) could be equal.
suzuki b-king meter is overly optimistic.4th gear shows 275kmh,5th 270,6th 270(5th & 6th are restricted to 9600 & 8500rpm) when i checked in a bking forum they say bking in its restricted form can go only 250/255kmh actual .. what a disappointment 😕
@@MotoMika I really didnt know that gen3 Busa speedo is so accurate. Are you sure the gearing is stock ? I guess it has to be as it stops around 300. Old gen1 had around 10% speed error, it was nice watching it go to 340kmh, downhill 😄

@@MotoMika Nein, bei 299kmh und die Kollegen vom AutoBild haben mit GPS 301kmh (Stock) geschaft. Ich selber habe 2x probiert (Stock) und hatte 297 und 298 geschaft, musste aber auch vorzeitig bremsen + die Reifen waren schon abgefahren, was GPS-Tempo verringert. Tacho war bei 300 dabei. Gruß.
@@duetschla ich habe es mehrmals probiert, und es ging fast jedes Mal auf genau 295 per GPS. Kann sein dass es leichte Schwankungen in der Begrenzung gibt.
Dann scheint deine ne andere Software zu haben bei 295 gps ist bei mir schluss! Die busa verliert bei der drehzahl gut Leistung. Schau dir diverse Messungen auf Prüfständen an.

Bis 200 Kmh beschleunigt die Vmax 1700 mit offener Ecu und douple Clutsch schneller in 5.9 Sekunden... Ab 240 ist die Hayabusa neu und auch die ab K8 weg... Trotzdem ein Geiles Bike die Hayabusa!!

@@widelcd it’s a nasty bug. I had a fever for a while and threw a temperature and the usual accompanying unpleasant symptoms that come with winter bugs, I felt really weak as well.
GPS my arse...still close to dash indicator ~5km max apart. There is no accuracy in those "gps cameras"..it takes alot more to achieve real 300km. Take away ~15-20km from dash indicators to be close to real speed. 11.400 real ecu rpm (from 10.800 stock first unrestricted busa that is geared higher than gen3) tops at 299km/h real gps speed in 5th, almost 330 on dash.

Dont take it as a offense, i am a hayabusa addicted since 2007, when i got my 99, mod it, work on it and make it pull like i needed. But i tell you, it take alot more to go even on 300km/h. I did enough tests with that unrestricted busa with 190/55 taller tyre, 11.400rpms from 10.800 stock, that could touch 330+ in 5th based on dashboard, but in reality, on a gps that works with at least 10 locked sattelites, 5th geared picked up 300km/h , maybe 2-3 more with rpm limiter stabilized. In a comparison, zx12r A1 (first factory unrestricted) with one step taller tyre 190/55, on rev limiter in 5th, touched 289km/h . Belive me it is an insane speed living on the bike those moments. There is no liter bike that could go farther than top 4th gear on my old bike, 2016 s1000rr ecu tuned was the last overruned before i involved her in an accident, and took zx14

If i remember right, the first models of Hayabusa did over 300 kmh. They were not limited to 299!?

Es war noch keine Vmax, du musstest bei der Kurve bremsen. 299 bzw. 300-302kmh (GPS) ist mit 3Gen. stock problemlos möglich! Gruß.

Not a very aggressive fast start. 0 - 120 Kmh which is 60 Mph is way to slow. That bike is capable of 0 - 60 in 2 to 3 seconds.

The Gen 3 Hayabusa was no longer about having the fastest motorcycle. Suzuki knew that if you want more power and top speed, you will tune it anyway
