The add more space function is a great tip, I didn’t really realize what it was used for. But I often do this by cutting and pasting my hand written notes. This is way easier thank you so much
Hi, Kevin! I was considering moving to One Note from Apple notes due to its features. Is it worth it? Some people say One Note gets heavy and laggy once you’ve got large notes.
Hi Paperless X, I'm a huge fan of your channel. A question about Notability on iPad.....so I may do a mix of drawing (scribble handwriting) and on the same page I may choose the pen that does the instant drawing to text. How do I control where the text appears? I find it hard to regularly select the spot I want the text to be converted to.
Notability uses text boxes that let you put your text exactly where you want it. So make sure you’re using the text boxes each time you want your text in a specific spot.
Can u please maje a video of the Right way to make a mental máp, in margin notes 3 for making the anti cards, in review mode, I can’t get them right? And am wondering if it’s related, to the way I developed my mindmap
Hello! It seems your Microsoft account must only be signed in on one device (the small one). Otherwise it won’t work. I managed to do this a few years back, Microsoft doesn’t seem to have discontinued the program (from our search) so it should still work the same
We have to see what’s going on with your device to assist better. But, you can try rebooting your iPad if you’re being affected by a bug, it might help
Great program, but would love to be more like Notability, Nero, etc, where I can just write and convert without a bunch of twists and turns, or am I not using it correctly?
On the Windows application, you can click File, Print, Print, Then choose Microsoft Print to PDF. Then you can name the file and save it wherever you want to.
Hi, i have an ipad air 5 and when i write in onenotes with apple pencil i can see some lag/latency, however for apple notes there is almost no latency. Is this common? Or is there anything that i can do to reduce this latency in onenote.
Latencies are usually caused by bugs. And only the developer can fix them (and they get resolved with time). Rebooting your iPad or reinstalling the app might help in the meantime. We haven't experienced that in OneNote, so it's probably an isolated bug that you can 'fix' on your end.
I bought OneNote for $75 back before it was free.... and built my entire work process around it; until one day I woke up and they changed the tabs to the side instead of the top where I liked them (and still do). It's a crime that they can change a program (that wasn't free or even cheap) so severely without notice and without an option to switch it back. I would still be using it today if they left the tabs the way they were, but have switched to (and love) GoodNotes 5. Great video, I just found this channel and love it. 👍
@@PaperlessX I now have gotten so familiar with GoodNotes 5 that I use it on my iPad, iMac and check it on my iPhone. It's a great solution if you need to use multiple devices. The old OneNote style was the only thing I ever tried that even comes close to GoodNotes 5 (for me and my purposes).
@@BasicFolders I don't think they've added it. It's a legacy feature but is still available in my desktop version of OneNote. There are so many versions now and all have different features which makes it really confusing and annoying, however, in the normal (old paid) version of desktop OneNote (not the Microsoft Store free version), the SECTIONS appear across the top, and the list of PAGES appear on the side (by default on the left but if you go to OPTIONS -> DISPLAY and uncheck the box that says "Display pages on the left" then they move to the right). The new OneNote desktop which you download from the MS Store and the iOS versions unfortunately don't have the sections across the top anymore. The experience is really inconsistent across the platforms, they all have either extra or missing features in comparison to each other.
You forgot the most unique feature IMO : copy link to paragraph. Makes for a very useful index and is also great for referencing one note from another.
@@PaperlessX Aah..You’re right. The option is not available on iPad, although existing links still work. Can create the links to paragraph on only desktop version of OneNote on Mac/PC.
I just wish any other app would let me import PDFs ONTO my lined paper so that I can write right next to the slides, as I often find myself running out of space on them... but as far as I am aware literally no other app has this...
The add more space function is a great tip, I didn’t really realize what it was used for. But I often do this by cutting and pasting my hand written notes. This is way easier thank you so much
Anytime 🙂
i kinda need a hybrid of goodnotes and onenote :D
I prefer GoodNotes but i wish they add bullet points
Unfortunately, the version for iPad has no text conversion. If it did it would be my go to. The insert space feature is awesome.
Sameee 😭😭😭
Yes… Let’s hope they remove the limitations they have put on the iPad version of the app
I thought immersive text for iPad was demonstrated in this video no? That’s a feature I really want as well.
Really good review! To the point and straightforward with good tips. I will try the sticky notes feature.
3:03 - it can act as File Manager for any OS... I hope MS will get it one day: They still haven't realise its potential
Nice voice. Soothing and musical
My ultimate favorite note app

V helpful and practical, thank you
You’re welcome 😃
Thank you. Ver informative. Q: Are you ale to get SCRIBBLE to work on ONENOTES?
No it doesn't work
The web version of OneNote has a recycle bin, which you can access on an iPad.
Yes, only if you haven’t download the app to your iPad

It could be related. We’ll put it on our to-do list 😃
Hello Ropsie, How can we get extra spacce for small devices? i searched on Google but couldn't find any info. Thank you

You are not… those other two do have better handwriting conversion
I miss a calendar template very much (like it is in Upad app). :(
yeah, that was cool. Noteshelf has planner templates
@@PaperlessX Yes, i use Noteshelf also. But i use onenote on my office windows PC, so onenote calendar would be more comfortable.
Does onenote have the ability to record audio and write text in parallel, and then listen to the desired part of the audio recording as in notability?
Not for the iPad.
I just wish there was a way to save notes locally
It is possible , via (save as) but it will be painful when u want to access through other devices
On the Windows application, you can click File, Print, Print, Then choose Microsoft Print to PDF. Then you can name the file and save it wherever you want to.

Does onenote on iPad have snipping tool
For selecting sections of your notes? Sure it does
can the one note for ipad scan (take a pic) and save to pdf ?
Yes it can

That indeed is a crime! Changing an app that dramatically is unacceptable! So you are using GoodNotes on a Mac or iPad?

On the desktop version of OneNote you can set where the tabs are located within the options / settings menus.

Under the View tab > Page Colour

Videos on OneNote can’t be to long from my experience

Not sure about lined paper…. but ZoomNotes can potentially do that for you. Or you can create lecture slides instead
Doesn't LiquidText have this?
how to use pointer in onenote?
OneNote on the iPad doesn't have that
upon a page full of handwritten text I get this from immersive reader "sorry we could not find any text on this page"
It tends to do that… a lot recently, sadly
Can you use Onenote in portrait mode on iPad?
yes you can
Hi , helpful, can I do exam on my OneNote
What do you mean?
how to change bullet STYLE on ipad pro onenote
You can’t. It’s predetermined and you can’t change it
