Fantastic build, one of the best I've seen, very well done Shootin4Bedrock!
I'm in the middle of modifying my bazooka with larger tubes - trying to create more exchange.
Really enjoyed the video and learned a few things too:-)

Fluid Bed sluices are a little more touchy about how they are setup than what other mfg.'s would have you believe. Ya don't just throw it in the stream and make sure there is water flowing over the slick plate. If not done right it will blow gold out the back end. That's why the removable trap was added.

Thanx jaffyger, It's been in use now for a full season and a few modifications have been made but I think its a winner where fluid bed sluices are concerned. It seems to trap the gold, (even -60 flour), really well.

Awesome build,I just made one Saturday and made a video with it Sunday,I’m blowing out a good bit of gold,is there anyway you would take a peek and see if it’s a design flaw or setup error. Any help is much appreciated.

Doc at Gold Hog uses lots of 1/16 holes with his fluid bed. Are 1/8 holes better when not using a pump?

Now that's a awesome sluice.I am a beginner.Does it also trap small gemstone inside the trap.I seem to be catching more gems then gold. What is your fav type of sluice.Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

+mindy and joe b. Hi, It all depends on the weight of the gemstone and the rate of flow you have going thru the box. I do find very small quartz and topaz, (no diamond yet...), in the concentrate. I like the fluid bed sluices the best as they don't take so long to clean. Downside though is they do take more volume of water than a riffle type sluice to work properly. You have to keep a fairly decent flow to get the exchange to take place in the bed and wash away the lights. Thanx for watching...Rich.

Thanx LD, I actually am in the works now of manufacturing them for sale. It's gonna be a winter project so maybe by next spring we will have them available for purchase. We also have plans for a high banker kit that attaches to it that can be purchased separately.
