Hello, Scott. Do you have any videos on this channel where you talk about wireless headset microphones? I play guitar and backing vocals too, and I generally like to play by walking around the audience and interacting with them. So I would like to know a good system with a cost/benefit ratio and good directional cardioid microphones, Countryman type headset, etc.
My question is… if you have multiple guitars with different pickups (humbuckers/active) and you have songs with different ranges and tones, are you required to adjust the gain and AF every time or can you get away with just setting it to one and done?
In that case I would use two different packs and/or adjust presets in a direct rig like a helix or kemper based on the sensitivity of the pickups. Thats the workaround I could think of
@HAHN_EVENTS_HAHN_MEDIA Not really a solution. It's not really made for someone jumping on stage and it's not rackmountable. I've yet to find a real reason why everything has to be analogue, latency maybe? But my guitar wireless is also digital... Xvive is digital (2.4 ghz) so it can be done (only mono though, and i need stereo)
Between those two, this one. GLXD+ is on 2.4ghz and 5.8ghz but it designed for a pedalboard which is also nice. Both are great options though. Don't use too much on 2.4ghz or 5.8ghz, but my wife still uses here GLXD+ and never has any issues with it. Both are great, but UHF and digital and dual diversity and 56Mhz of bandwidth wins for sure
I just switched from the GLXD+ to the EW-D last week. The Shure is great, rock solid, reliable. It was changing the tone a bit in the mids and highs spectrum and I had to have an always on EQ to compensate for that. The only reasons I switched to the EW-D is because I needed a rack mount unit, that had a bit more range than the GLXD+.It also sounds better than the GLXD+ and the latency is smaller. Depends on what you want and need but both are great units, I'm super happy with the Shure and can't wait to test the EW-D more.
Would love to hear your thoughts on this system vs the Shure SLDX, I get the impression that they are kind of coke/pepsi in the market for their price range.
after trying to find the ultimate BUG system... i fear this may be something i need to save up for (playing 4-5 nights a week here in UAE), the bugs either distort or degrade my tone, to the point where it feels like i've lost gain and i dont go confidentally into solos etc. This also means i'd have to build a new board to house it underneath... the never enjoying cycle hey? haha :)

I've yet to find a real reason why everything has to be analogue, latency maybe? But my guitar wireless is also digital... Xvive is digital (2.4 ghz) so it can be done (only mono though, and i need stereo)
As a newbe in wireless for guitar. Just wonder what I would need. I play live with a pedalboard and use two guitars.
Here’s the full buying guide to help you make that decision: ruclips.net/video/Xi2JcMomjQ0/видео.htmlsi=tViPey6krBPwvHBU Cheers!

This one or shure glxd+?
They are both fantastic. Once you get to those 3 criteria I mentioned in the video, you have a great wireless system
Could ya check out the GLX14-R
I’ve reviewed that one already: ruclips.net/video/NY9odVszquY/видео.htmlsi=Qnza53QtwjT_YaNC
after trying to find the ultimate BUG system... i fear this may be something i need to save up for (playing 4-5 nights a week here in UAE), the bugs either distort or degrade my tone, to the point where it feels like i've lost gain and i dont go confidentally into solos etc. This also means i'd have to build a new board to house it underneath... the never enjoying cycle hey? haha :)
Haha yeah man, it’s worth it going for something like this if you play that often! 🤘🤘
@@ScottUhlMusic im being recommended the xvive 5.8 ? Have you had a go on that ? Cheers for always replying dude. Not many folk can give feedback on these things so its really appreciated.
@@JaredGunstonTV that’s funny, I just did a gig in Nashville yesterday, and I used that one for a review (video won’t be until December). It worked well. But if you play as much as you do, I highly recommend just going for the Sennheiser EWD or Shure SLXD. That’s where you want to start for a really reliable wireless system 🤘
@ScottUhlMusic appreciate you bro 🙏
Careful you don’t get bullied by Big Guitar Cable
aliexpress
They sell this?
@@ScottUhlMusic sorry the rest of it cut out 😭😭😭 but i was giving a suggestion to do a video on one of the mic systems that they have because they have scan and sync and a super wide frequency range for like $80 and they have 2 mics
Thank you 🙏
