    I just went Jan 29th - Feb 11th. It was hot pretty much every day but there were a few chilly mornings. The uniform shirt is dark blue now not light blue. I believe another agency is light blue. Buy water from Walmart or the store on campus bc the water sucks. They provide a water bottle. Your badge is good to be scanned for 3 meals a day. Quiet time is at 10pm and curfew is at midnight meaning be in YOUR room. The bar SUCKS 😂 they only have beer or canned sangria type drinks. Those buses to Savannah or Tybee Island are non existent 😂.. they only do Walmart and Target runs either once or twice a week..head to the store at 6pm and the bus picks you back up at 8pm. They don't shuttle you around the campus and they DONT reimburse for food the first night even tho you'll get there after the chow hall is closed for the night. We struggled to get an uber the first night to take us ANYWHERE bc we were starved. So eat at the airport BEFORE you exit at Jacksonville. Or grab a snack. Once you exit, you don't have access to restaurants. Waffle house is nearby but they won't reimburse for that uber ride or the meal. Unfortunately Enterprise has raggedy and dirty cars. The ones at the Brunswick airport were clean but limited availability. Yes, I rented from both 😅. You will have to walk from your dorm to the front gate to get picked up by uber or receive food. No one is allowed on campus without a badge.

    • @theTSAguy
      @theTSAguy  Год назад +1

      I see COVID eliminated the bus rides out of town. We had them when I was there. I had fun at the campus bar, I only stuck to beers, not into the fancy drinks.

      @The TSA Guy Did the bus take ppl only on specific days or every day? Either way having that available sounds great. Our driver who took us to check in for our badges made it very clear to us. He said he and none of the other drivers are our chauffeur and they will NOT be giving any rides 😵‍💫😅

    • @theTSAguy
      @theTSAguy  Год назад

      @nataliahenderson5312 Bus took people on holidays, sat/sun only.
      I'm not surprised the bus drivers were that rude. They only get that blatant if people have tried to abuse the system in the past. I got yelled at by the bus driver bus one morning when we were being picked up at the hotel. I was always the last person running to the bus and wasn't wearing shoes.
      In the bus driver's defense I woke up 10 mins before the bus left, and I only had enough time to put my shirt and pants on. So....yea, I wasn't really the best example 🤣
      Now you know why I drove on my own. After the 3rd day I just started driving myself to campus. I don’t like being reliant. If I lived in Cali…I wouldn’t drive.

    Hello Fazle,
    Can you please answer my questions down below? I am interested in working as a federal air marshal. I have applied to be one last week on the 10th. I applied to be a TSO as well. I am scheduled to take the test on the 24th of this month.
    My first question to you is, in your opinion, is it worth being a TSO worker? In terms of pay, work life balance, and working with people around you as well as the travelers? I know you talked about some of this, but I want to know a little more in-depth.
    My second question to you is, the reason I asked you the first question is because mentioning earlier, I said I want to become a Federal Air Marshal. And I want to know if I have a better chance of becoming one starting off as a TSO worker rather than what I did and applied automatically?

      First question - no
      Second question - only if you are assigned a hotel room. Spouse can’t be on campus.
