My dog started to having seizures in last two weeks, it was the first time I encountered something like this, and frankly, it was terrifying. This video means a world to me, and to my dog what is most important. Thank you very much and big greetings from Croatia.

Thankyou for sharing, this is basically what we have to do with my Stepfather for epilepsy: the only difference is a recovery position wasn't mentioned: does this not apply to our four-legged friends?
I am assuming it is not needed ( a specific recovery position) as long as they are already in a safe place with no obstructions?
I only ask because we have an elderly dog, who's behaviour is changing- Cognitive dysfunction, and the vet asked if she had a any seizures: so I have been looking into what a seizure looks like in a dog and how to help her if this should happen- just doing a little bit of research really.

I know I'm commenting late but my little Chiuaia has seizures and we have been putting alcohol on his chest and ice on his paws and it seems to work. But do you want us to just place him in a dim quiet place and just let him have the seizure?? Please reply

Please abide by your vet's advice. I personally would not advise ever putting alcohol or ice onto a dog. The recognised advice for seizures per the video above.

I'm worried about giving dog a pill for fleas, ticks, and heartworm because it states can cause one. Advice?

Please discuss it with your Vet. Not all pets experience side effects and most medications are well tolerated

It seemed like my dog just had one for the first time ever while I was brushing her teeth. Super weird.

I have done everything our vet has asked it took me about four months to get it on video because I was worried and all I wanted to do was console him take care of him I was not worried about getting a video of it I know what a seizure is I get them I don’t want my dog to suffer from them anyway we took the dog to the vet showed him everything which I can show you if you think you might be able to help me the vet said there was nothing wrong with his bones or joints but he wanted x-rays anyway and I told Him that was a waste an x-ray is not going to show any seizure activity I want blood work done to check for an infection to check for other stuff and to see if he’s actually having seizures or what he said I don’t want to waste your money but there’s nothing wrong with his bones and joints but we will start with x-rays and I said no if you’re not going to help him I will find somebody else these are more frequent he then turns around and tells my husband and I if they become more frequent or his shaking gets worse and vigorously let them know if things change and they get closer together more violent shakingAfter affects I told him that’s why I’m here they are coming every 9 to 10 days like clockwork and it is always after he wakes up from his morning nap he will get up about 430 I take him out to go potty He comes in lays back down when he gets back up that’s when he starts shaking they are about every 10 days they are getting worse this last seizure was really bad he is shaking more vigorously they are coming every 10 days he is scared you can see the look on his face and he knows when they’re coming because he stops walking and moving right away and this last one after his seizure he had a hard time getting down the stairs so I helped him he then stopped to see where I was then he was walking a few steps and hisBack legs are not bending like they should we went to come back up the stairs to come in and he cried and cried my heart broke he cried I helped him up the stairs he dragged his backend up the stairs his back feet yesterday was the 10th day he had another one yesterday morning if you can help me please let me know I am trying to find a different vet
