G'day aaron, Why is it necessary to swap the tri-axis bearings? They look the same to me. Also, do you remember what length the right shaft ended up to be when fully compressed?
@@ACGarage614 also I have to install eg6 CV joints in order to use oem k20 axles in my eg coupe, right? Thanks for all the info, It would be nice to have a video about the shifter install and differents way to do. Sorry for my poor english!
I bought new base outer axles for my 1989 CRX K24A2. How do you determine how my spines your hubs have? Also what about the intermediate axle? The carrier has a couple different mountings I've heard. Depending on donor car. My K24A2 was from a TSX.
Sorry I’m a little confused can you clear something up? So you swap the inners on both axles I got that part. Do you now have one axle or 2? Do you do this process for both sides or by doing this process do you create a pair? Does that make sense?
Let's say I have a 92 civic with 32mm hubs and a K20A2 type swap laying around. I can simply get base rsx axles and will go in no mods? If I have to use type s axles then use B series outers? (If so, will d series outers work?)
@@ACGarage614 ok base rsx axles are 32mm so outers will slide into my hin. Inner hubs will need to be swapped to type s ones to slide into my tranny? I think I get it now. Thank you.
Steel on Target no you simply take stock base model axles and put the inner shaft from the passenger side to the driver side and vice versa. Essential the driver side becomes the passenger side and the passenger side becomes the driver side.
Aaron Choumphonkeokiengkai I have Integra spindles in my K24 swapped Eg, do you think that may be the problem? Should I put my stock spindles back on? Because passenger side axle seems too short

Sorry my guy I don’t want to be taking up your time but more questions are coming up how long did they last. Also u think it would be a good idea to run then on a AWD street car with about 550-600? I will try to have 2 different maps on the car one w half the power and other with all of it im most likely going to drive w half the power pushing it here and there and sometimes w all the power to send it.
Jesus bro! You only wasted your time...why wouldn’t you just use 32mm axles or 36mm axles? You do know if you put 32mm outter in a 36mm type s axles it does not make it stronger, right? The spline is what brakes not the middle of the axle. You just wasted a whole lot of time.
Rsx base model axles is a straight bolt on to stock eg hubs...and if you switch to 36mm karcepts hubs then you can just install Rsx type s axles without any modification at all. In eg’s you can use Rsx axles for both sides, in eks the passenger side has to be Rsx and driver side has to be from a si. You wasted a lot of time and giving a lot of miss information here.
G Saldo this is needed when doing k swaps regardless of 32/36mm. Im aware of whats needed to be done. This video was made specifically for a subscriber of mine so i showed him via youtube.
Aaron Choumphonkeokiengkai brother! This is not needed for any k swap lol...you do not need to modify any Rsx axles to fit a stock eg hub. Please call around shops and ask. You are giving a lot of miss information here.
G Saldo its not about fitting into the hub. Its about proper length. You need to make the passenger side become the driver side and driver side the passenger side.
Bold of you to be disassemble CV axles _in your house_ !!

that why when I drive my k24 crx with stock base model rsx axles ..it vibrate kind of bad..🤔

Yes I did. The outers are base axles and the intermediate shaft I used is Type S. I believe the base will work as well.

any idea which axles to use for a 3rd gen prelude
which b series outer joints did you end up using ?

32mm for now I’ll be swapping down the road with the karcepts stuff when I go turbo.
Tour Quality Golf get base model rsx axles and swap inner hubs
And use the outer section with the rsx inner for the swap yes?
Tour Quality Golf no just take the inner splines and move the pass to the driver and vice versa.
can it only be done with OEM axles ?
yes

If i have 36mm hubs will type s axles straight fit without having to swap joints ? (civic eg )
No. You need to swap the inners over
For eg or ek ? Or both?
Question what if you didnt swap the bearings and the other part just the inner shafts will it still work . ?
Rick Antonio whatever works for your brand of axles. Some axles let you get by with only changing the inner shafts
I have stock base models axles but didnt change that last part just the inner joint
