- Today's video offers a lot of exciting action from the 2022 VSCC Loton Park meeting, where talented drivers took to the narrow course in their glorious pre war racing cars.
You name it - it was there! Some of the rarest cars being thrashed up the hill include a Bugatti Type 51, ERA, several Lagondas and Bentleys and a gorgeous MG hillclimb car, with twin tyres at the back.
There really were some fantastic sounding cars, from four cylinders to straight sixes to eight cylinder cars so make sure to turn up those speakers to appreciate the thunderous roar of these brilliant old racing cars.
Of course there was the usual huge attendance of Riley specials, Austin Sevens, Frazer Nashes and other curious specials that can always be found at any VSCC event.
In addition, there were a few Edwardian cars and Aero engined cars that too make for entertaining viewing.
There were also some famous names racing up the hill including Patrick Blakeny-Edwards in his amazing fast Frazer Nash and Julian Grimwade in his iconic Frazer Nash 'Norris Special', both drivers drifting their way up the Loton Park Hillclimb, desperatley trying to shave a few tenths of their previous times
In this video there is something for everyone, I will be walking around the paddock, looking at some vintage cars parked up and of course providing coverage of all the action on the course for your enjoyment!

What a fantastic collection of cars real gem of a video
Thanks for your time😮😮😮😊
What an amazing collection. I wish I could smell the air!
Hello from New Zealand.
Hello! You would be smelling a lot of Castrol R!
I think those pre-WW1 Vauxhalls have big four bangers.
Brilliant. Thanks for sharing 😄
Thanks for watching!
Very Very nice to see all this nice cars
My Two extreme favorites are the Mug with the dual tires and the Morgan with 4 wheels...
👋 Hi Amazing old racers from the past. Wonderful to watch. And could they go fast too.
Brilliant coverage of this event. Sights and sounds. Your knowledge and enthusiasm are an inspiration! I suspect 1 or 2 of those Frazer Nashes may also have AC engines?
I couldn't say, they certainly sounded very nice!
The Austin 7 Specail ar 21:00 has an off-set differential to the LHS, with an engine angled to point to the dif. This enables the driver to sit lower and have the prop shaft alongside them, then the rear axle to also sit lower in the chassis. It would be worth asking to see the bonnet off. Would make great content.
This # 183 green beauty have a most iconic sound ever!
That's the Cognac, 2 litre straight six and probably my favourite soundtrack! It also appears in a video I did of the VSCC meeting at Prescott, and a best car sounds compilation (found on channel homepage!)
@@CarTractionvids Thank you! It's a great pleasure to watch all tht videos!
Great vid.We have never seen many of these types in USA
hi @carTraction, My dad owns the black supercharged riley that you featured at @2:25. he will be really happy that you featured him in this as this is his project him and his dad has been doing for 30 years now.
the car next to it had my Austin 7 special (red single seater) unfortunately we blew the engine off of it in the afternoon.
however we will be back for the whole season this year from curbrough onwards, please feel free to reachout and we can give you a full tour of the riley and the NEW austin 7 special that we are currently building :)
Thanks, I do love a supercharger!
Good job, brilliant video
So fabulous
Excellent video !
Thanks for watching! I also did a video on the 2022 VSCC Prescott meeting if that is of interest :)
Now that's why You have a vintage car, right? Not a trailer queen or Q-tip cleaned museum piece that mustn't get wet, or dirty godforbid, but a _car_ You drive. Hard. I love it! Thanks for sharing! Gotta come over once and have a LHD-go against all You folks sittin' in the right side while drivin' on the wrong one ....
Absolutely!
A very good and well informed video Harley
Lovely
And amongst all this amazing machinery is a Tesla, amazing in its own right but about as exciting as a bar of soap to look at. Must have been a fun day. 👍 Some fabulous exhaust notes.
Great video. Love the way you walk us through. What is the vertical metal strip for that all the cars have extended out front for?
Thanks, that's to shave a tiny bit of time over the finish line as the timer stops at the first point of the car crosses
34:55 Jaguar 420G ❤️
It quite clearly says Mk 10 on the right hand side of the trunk lid.
What a great day out and thanks for sharing Harley as it almost felt like we were there, any idea which car made the fastest hill climb of the day?
I am going ot have to see if they have anything like this here in the States. I am in the process of building a 1928 Morgan Aero from scratch. A replica of the RIP racer with the wooden slats and aircraft fabric. I have an Onan/Tiger moth opposed twin engine coupled to an MGB transmission then on to a Honda Gold wing shaft drive wheel as the driving wheel. Thank you for the video
The "Pic Pic" appears to have a Curtiss OX-5 engine from a JN-4 Jenny. Only 90 HP, but tons of torque.
Ah ok thanks, in hopefully this weekend's video there should be a few large and aero-engined cars.......
3:44 i didn't understand what you said 😅 is it traumas? I speak and write English but English accent is kinda hard for me to understand sometimes 😅 thanks for sharing 🙏 great cars.. i prefer vintage cars, one day i want to own a Bugatti type 35B it's kinda My favorite 😊
I can agree with that!
Like you said...who needs high revs when you have all the torque. Some of those engines just sound like they're all pure grunt.
Indeed!
Almost 1 hour video, why mostly showing the same cars? I mean, so many many cars to show.
Anyway, thanks for sharing.
I showed most of the cars in the paddock walkaround, but for the runs up the hill I try to use the best footage so the video isn't hours long!
Adro: new brand name to me.
I only come up with an American Fiberglass body company.
No information at all.
Interesting
(( Austin “Pathfinder “ peddle car))
Great video.
🚗🙂
The Adro is a one-off prewar special, named after the chassis supplier Adro bed frames
this video is a real pleasure to watch again and again 🥰🤩
Thanks! I also made quite an entertaining video on the 2022 VSCC Prescott event, a lot turned up!
