Level 1 Holster against a Concealed Carry Holster.

- Yesterday I shot a video with an individual that was shooting from the High Compress Ready while I was shooting with a Level 1 Holster. The drill is shoot 2 reload, shoot 2, reload shoot 2.
Once they loaded in sync at the beginning, I knew i was in for a treat
Thing of beauty.
@Honest T they were actually checking the rear of the barrel. By pulling the slide back just a millimeter or so, you can make sure a round was properly chambered. Never look down the barrel of a gun, even if you’re sure it’s unloaded
@Honest T also welcome, on behalf of the gun community we’re glad to have you
Yeah that was amazing
@@rickytickybobbywobbin7430 in some cases it may be good to look down the barrel of a gun.
His holster is about to become a shoulder holster if his pants get any higher.
Joe Blow I was dien of laughter when I seen this 🤣
Never underestimate Harry high pants evidence shows they can draw faster
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That's how a man wears his pants, son.
Still waiting for the guy with the “concealed holster “. 😂😂
Thought same thing theyre both level 1 retention holsters
I believe it’s that the guy on the left has a Safariland ALS holster of some type, while the shooter on the right has a non-retention holster.
This demonstrates the ease of use of the Safariland ALS holster.
@Gary Hochstetler wow what a shit tier take
@Gary Hochstetler that last statement was the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. And the only way you can conceal using an OWB holster is with a small gun and a jacket. Are you gonna wear a jacket when it’s 100 degrees outside?
@Gary Hochstetler gun is clearly visible tho
"Reloads in games aren't realistic!"
Reloads in real life:
Reloads in games are too slow
Nothing is games is real. They don’t show drift or swaying while aiming, arm fatigue, running fatigue and they make drawing a rifle while in motion seem like more of a task then it is. And let’s not forget 1 bullet can kill no matter the caliber. Just not in video games. And don’t get me started on the jumping into rooms with all that gear and ammo you are carrying. You aren’t getting that high. 😂
You guys really aren't serious about these comparisons, are you? Like, really- seriously😶

@@BlueBerry-oj2un bro chill out its just a joke
I feel like this was more a test of reloading than a test of holsters, still impressive either way
The only thing the white dude can improve is not throwing the magazine down while reloading he needs to let gravity do its thing and it will speed up the time he gets the next mag in
I think it was because they were technically pulling the mags out of the holster as well but yah he need to not yeet the mags at the ground

@Calim Allah while I tend to agree with you, it depends on if there are Social Justices Warriors present. You'll see a white dude, tell a black dude that, saying "black dude" is offensive to his unborn, gender-fluid, race-fluid child and to discontinue the racist, insensitive terms. Black dude will tell white dude to STFU, and to go take his white guilt t.f. out of here. All I see, to the best of my knowledge, are two American's... One just has a better tan, and better posture. 🤦🏽♂️ I mean zero offense to anyone, just my observations and opinion. Sub'd, for Mr. White, not the SJW's 😆

@@jimmyrustler8983 yea speed comes with practice if you can do it slow then you can probably do it fast.
Learned that lesson the hard way. Kids almost 4 now!
The deciding factor in this was mag placement.
It's a combo of all their experience and body mechanics. Their reloads were had a similar idea behind them but executed way different for being both left and right handed. Left hand shooter was at a disadvantage just by having the slide release unavailable.
@@alexptong neither shooter used the slide release. They both were using the sling shot the slide method...which I prefer..instead of fumbling for that little slide release button. The far shooter had to much going on with dragging the mags out every time instead of just letting them fall. While the empty mag is falling to the floor he should be reaching for the other one. He would gain speed and probably be faster or just as fast as the other guy. ✌️
@@budstermcgreen6360 I realize all that you said. Both methods worked around the mag not falling out. Paul White dumped the weight down, the far shooter stripped it out like you said. I meant the far shooter could have used the slide release for economy of movement putting him at an advantage over White but even if he did he would have been slower than White. The original comment said White won only because of gear placement. You can clearly see White has more training and experience over the far shooter.
Also if you notice, the guy furthest away was manually taking out the empty mags and throwing them down, whereas the guy closer to the camera was using the gun to let the empty mag fall out on its own. That helps him get the next mag ready faster.
I believe the main factor was the man in the jeans had his thumb on the slide lock.. the slide didn’t lock back for the second reload.. he loaded the mag and had no round in the chamber. Otherwise it would have been close but I still feel it would’ve been the same result.. and then we could talk about mag placement and ever other little millisecond detail haha
As a lefty as soon as I saw the bald guy was left-handed I was voting for him!
Same here

"Double Tap"
Repetition, Repetition, makes the Muscle Reflex act faster than the Brain!
From an injured British War Veteran
That's true but it can be a double edged sword. Brain is taught to do this so in real life encounter. You may accidently do the double tap mag drop and you've got multiple threats. That would be a terrible situation. Just saying once trained your body reacts in strange ways to certain situations.
What’d you do trip in the chow line
Synchronized shooting should be an Olympic sport. This was so satisfying to watch.
As a person who doesn’t concealed carry, I couldn’t even tell either of them had a gun.
I don't understand...
Neither of them were running concealed either.
I noticed the shooter looks down at the magazine while reloading. That extra bit of time to readjust towards the target was a disadvantage. I struggle with that too.
Which shooter?
@@LoveLikeaHurricane Homeboyvin the back, wearing blue jeans.
@@LoveLikeaHurricane Farthest from the camera. Sorry, I forgot to mention it. If you pay close attention, you can see his eyes look down everytime he reloads😱 I do it too. slows me down alot.
What’s going on down range doesn’t matter if you don’t have ammo in your gun. That fraction of a second it takes to load your magazine is more important than keeping your eyes on the target with an empty weapon. Focus on reloading fast, but keeping your eyes down range with an empty weapon does no good to you if you’re fumbling to load your gun.
@@casams1992 makes sense.
The other guy was pulling his mags out of the weapon then reloading a mag, while the guy with obviously more training was throwing his empty mags while grabbing a fresh mag to reload. That extra time really made a difference!
Can't believe I didn't notice until I saw your comment
You’re tripping lol
They were BOTH reloading and loading correctly, the guy in he back (the CCW guy) was dropping his mags and reloaded, same to the guy in front with the Level 1.
I don't know man. Yeah it saves time, but training to assist mag drop doesn't hurt. Imagine trying to flick one out and after all your of training and technique, this is the one time that sonova bitch won't drop on its own when you need it to and BLAM you're dead.

this is just gunfighting;
like all forms of fighting, two rules apply;
1) somebody out there is always better or luckier;
2) sooner than later, you will meet;
speed is to accuracy what quantity is to quality;
Everybody is accurate until a gunfight. Then statistics say even trained people often miss from 3 feet away.
There's a lot to be said for being the one who got that first shot on target first and adjusting as you go. I don't need to kill you to survive. But I do need to destroy your aim.
This man could kill me just with a stare and a firm talking to.

That in-sync press check though! People always come up at the range and ask me what I’m doing when I press check. I typically only see others on range doing it during competitions.
Not only is that where his waist is, it’s also about mobility and comfort. Much easier and less restrictive to carry the weight of that pistol belt on your waist above your hips because you can maneuver without issue. He can high step or take a knee without difficulty.
I wore my trousers high in combat- made it easier to kick in doors/ maneuver in firefights/ change body positions while shooting.

Gonna echo a lot of comments:it only counts as testing a concealed carry holster if the holster STARTS in the concealed position. If it's out in the open you're just open carrying, no matter what kind of holster you use.

With very few exceptions there is no reason to handle your gun forward of the trigger guard because you can pull back the slide from the behind the ejection port. The reason for this is that you’d like to keep your support hand away from the muzzle.
