For some niches, yeah it’s pretty tough. But for others, it’s business as usual (you can still rank high and make money). Taking the time to find a low competition niche is well worth it!

Hi, Casey! Really useful information, thank you for sharing!👌
I like the "Statistics” method. Taking the info from Medium newsletter is a pretty ninja 🥷🏿 tactic 👌but it is somewhat tedious (I mean, extracting information from individual messages can be daunting).
**So the Question is:** can you recommend web sources where industry specific data/statistics is collected in a centralized way (preferably free, or at least not so expensive like Statista) ?
Thank you for your work! 👍

Thanks! And yeah it’s a subtle but super effective way to get “original” data.
As you mentioned, it’s somewhat tedious. I typically set up a new email address just for these stats and check it once per week or so.
You can use centralized statistics as you mentioned, but it’s pretty hard to find sources that are free. And even if they are, or you’re willing to pay, chances are this data has been used before. That’s why I prefer finding the data in emails.
You can also use something like fiverr where for a small one time fee, someone will pull the data (they usually have an enterprise level account) and resell it to you. Not free but much cheaper than paying full price for subscription access.
