Man who lived in world-famous Connecticut haunted house tells of spooky experiences

- When Jim Post and his wife Jackie rented the top two floors of a big Southington colonial in 1995, they had no idea of its reputation as a haunted house or of the history that would one day make it the subject of a horror film called, "The Haunting in Connecticut."
As fate would have it, they found out on Halloween, when Post asked the first-floor tenant if he wanted to share trick-or-treating duties.
The man replied, "We don't do Halloween anymore. It got too weird, people would come from all over, and they would line up down the sidewalk and down the road, wanting to get in."

Why are ghosts always old timey and dressed in Victorian attire? For once id like to hear of one floating in the corner yammering into their cell phone.
Because modern ghosts can't decide on a gender
Should they appear as a man or women
That and the fact modern ghosts are lazy
Because the person you are seeing died in that era. U don't really die it's a illusion though. Even people from the 1700s you will see in the afterlife. They float because there's no gravity up there. No physical matter just energy.

The old house my now ex-husband & l bought in 1987 was definitely haunted. Many years later l lost $40 in an apartment l was renting. It had been in my wallet and disappeared as l held the wallet. A few months later another person found it on my livingroom floor.
That's when I started realizing sometimes the demons follow you from place to place.🐾🌈☮️🇨🇦
They attach themselves to things and people.
Their not all Demons, it could have been a good Ghost, warning to You to be more carefull about Your money.

The house we moved into 15 years ago is very active. Things go missing or get moved. And it's annoying.
But that's the point - to make you doubt your self. Sometimes it's us - we all misplace things - but _many_ times it's not.
Our pet sitter was asked not to go into the basement. I didn't want the cats down there. But, of course she went.
And asked me if I was aware of the portal in the one corner. I told her that's why I didn't want the basement door opened.

When I was a child at my parents home I seen two ghosts in the basement and all throughout my life strange things happen I heard three knocks at the door I would see shadow people I would feel like people were touching me appliances would turn off and on the TV would turn off and on it wasn't a mean ghost

@@stacyn. the Connecticut haunting is one of the most thoroughly debunked scams of all time, right up there with the inspiration for "The Exorcist." The Warrens were involved in that hoax too.

I remember the article that came out in the Record-Jounal about the family that was renting it, the stories they told were hair raising to be honest. The house used to be a funeral home, so you can imagine it had a lot of spiritual energy in it. I think it also depends if you are sensitive to that and if you are, you are more apt to have experiences. I live in a very old house that is haunted, and I have had some experiences here, same with the previous house I lived in..
My animals acted strangely in each of these houses, and I saw a shadow figure one night in the current house. I still refuse to sleep alone up there.
