I totally can relate to everybody wearing the biker boots thing when you were interested in them. I got the white platform converse about a year before the trend blew up in my hometown, and now every time I see them in my room they make me angry like its so unnecessarily irritating wearing something that you already had that now seemingly everyone is wearing BAHA

I am 50. I wore nothing but mascara, sunscreen, and red lipstick from age 18-24. In the 90’s the trend was deeper and bolder reds (wine and burgundy) with less eye makeup. In terms of clothes, it was more of an accent. I feel like it’s still like this, for me. I do have an Santa Red oversized faux fur, which I call my “Kanye jacket”. I have another wine collarless cropped faux fur in a deep wine color…an awesome double zipper fitted (also wine) leather jacket I wear too. I have been on red for a while now. I like it sort of 90’s vampy style, but I also like a true red. I’m blonde and it really lights me up. I guess I can’t not talk about red without talking about little jackets and lipstick. 🤣 I have one gorgeous vintage Monsac purse and a gingham print basket purse by Brighton that has that sweet French girl summer vibe. Those are probably the only two red purses I’ll ever need. I also wear a vintage cropped Austrian cardigan during the Fall. I like how you explained how why your generation talks about it trending. I’m a reseller and hang out sourcing with friends who are Gen Z and so I get the pink, pastel trends that have been going on for a while.
I’m not a huge fan of red cowboy boots though. To me, they always look sort of cheap. I do like what he talked about with sheer red…I find that intriguing.
As for biker boots…I vote for the lace back Harley ones. I’m not the biggest fan of biker boots, but the lace back add a feminine touch. I get your thinking about them. I prefer these (less popular) Docs that have a slight platform and are pebbled leather. They gave two Velcro straps and are mid calf. No one could possibly pry those things out of my cold dead hands. 🤣 I’ll look up the style. They’re hot. I hate even posting about them for fear that they’ll get over saturated. Every single time I wear them I get compliments from all ages. Every time. *updated to say they are called the Jagger* I love them so much I may just go ahead and buy a back up.

omg trend #9 ahhhh this is PEAK gossip girl late 2000s and early 2010s it’s the whole business casual aesthetic bc we were all broke in our 20s so we needed clothes we could wear to our first job and then out. tights and knee highs with shorts are peak preppy and a nice way to show your legs without feeling like you were going to be preyed upon by creepy men walking around nyc in style. i actually wore a mustard color under a skirt for work the other day and it was very nostalgic bc you can wear one short with many different tight colors and create very different looks for less. that trend and the oversized glasses means the hipster lewk is on her way back 🫠🫥🥴

When you mentioned how you felt when you saw everyone wearing the same style of boots as the ones you wanted I felt it! Like I remember I really wanted to get a pair of adidas sambas and then they went trendy and everyone was wearing them and I was like thank God I didn't buy a pair!! Luckily I live in a small town so majority of the trands that I like its just me wearing them since I tend to like more out there styles hahaha 😂

The cherry red trend reminds me of the late 90s when a kind of 70s preppy officecore thing was happening but I actually think that it's having a bigger moment now than then, probably thanks to the internet hype! Love your videos as always cuteeeeeeee ❤

something to do with a seeing a gory movie scene as a child made me HATE the colour red (more specifically red nail polish) but i tried red nails a few years ago and loved it! i do really like seeing people wear it, it's very classy, chic and can be sexy. it makes me feel so grown up. now in my 20s the colour red makes me feel like a woman, tho i currently do not have any red in my closet id love to add some more in especially to compliment my browns. and like you i used to only think of black leather but now that ive coloured my hair copper i perfer the way browns compliment me.

Older person here! I had some biker boots back in the 90s. I remember they were Skechers, and it was when that brand first came out. But seriously, my dad had biker boots from the 70s, so. I also had Docs, pretty sure I got mine around 1992.
I've always liked red and burgundy in the colder months. I seem to wear red mostly for outerwear--coat, scarf, gloves. I had a huge thing for red and black back in high school, and this year I'll finally be wearing red with black again.

Colourful sneakers have been my shoes of choice for 20 years. I don't wear heels, so cute and practical shoes are hard to find. Also I don't like shoes that make noise 😂
