Great video. I’m really liking what I’ve seen so far from Crash 4, and the new mask power ups are quite nice additions. Looks like they’re sticking with what made the original trilogy great, and they’re expanding upon it by adding these neat insertions. The platforming from what we’ve seen so far looks very promising!
I have reached out to Toys for Bob development team regarding the petition, and I am pleased to say they are planning to announce the redesigns in the next week. They understand fans concerns and don’t want to let them down. N-Sane trilogy skins are coming back baby! 🙏❤️
Amazing. Everything you just said was wrong. You never spoke to toys for Bob, there not bringing the original designs into this game cause why would they, pretty much everyone loves the designs, and they never announced it.
The Best I Can Explain Oh I’m sorry, I didn’t realise this was a naming and shaming thread? I must have put a request up for immature trolls on the comment.
@@n1cklback477 just stating facts. You never spoke to toys for Bob. They never redesigned the characters clearly. And it was never announced. Never shamed you
I totally agree with the things you said here but I would still really like to see many of the WoC levels updated in modern graphics and with the platforming polish of the N-Sane Trilogy or Crash 4. I still think a lot of the game is salvageable if they were to say fix things like climb speed, replace the nitro spam with more environmental hazards and enemies, make better use of abilities, remove some of the more frustrating or unnecessary vehicles (submarine, planes, handcar, firefly). Would love to see levels like Arctic Antics, Crash and Burn, Gold Rush, Cortex Vortex, The Gauntlet, Wizards and Lizards, Fahrenheit Frenzy, and Jungle Rumble get a modern coat.
I agree with most of what you said, except for the ball levels. They were definatly something new, and to me they were fun to play. Wrath has almost the same amount of vehicle levels then Warped, with a little more varierty on then. So if até going to criticize this aspect, you have to also criticize Warped for it. The problem was not the amount of devistions from the tradicional platforming, but the fact that most didnt played well (the same can be told for the platforming, as you mentioned in the video).
Yeah you're totally right about that I probably should've mentioned Crash 3 a bit more as it had many variations within its gameplay. To clarify, my overall point was that Crash 3 still added new and fun elements to the platforming, while Wrath of Cortex didn't. And adding tons of weird new gameplay styles didn't make up for that fact either.
@@IREV00 i totally agre. Wrath dont plays well and the level design is pretty bare. But ill always defend the ball levels! They are new, different, and play well. You might not like then, but you cant deny they were the one adition to the gameplay thats at least well executed hehe Besides, Crunch as a character, the elemental masks (with their great voice actors) and the whole structure of fighting him with a different mask every time and then with all 4 for the final fight was cool hehe
Well vehicle levels actually made up literally half of wrath compared to warped which definitely had less, but u are right that most of them did not play well along with the platforming being not as good, but the ball levels are the 1 vehicle everyone who played wrath seems to love, I hope they make a return in crash 4
I have really disliked WoC, but could never really put my finger on why. This made me figure it out. The only levels I liked in that game were the standard platforming levels. They were just managed worse than the trilogy. We love Crash because of that flow that comes with platforming and doing it well. WoC was janky and slow. Plus they just added a bunch of stuff no one asked for or wanted. Thanks for speaking my feelings into existence.
Why people like to compare Wrath of cortex so much?! Just because of the bad models, vehicles levels, and the "repeated" bosses, doens't mean it is bad, and i say it because i played it, many people say things about it, without even playing it, and i find it stupid, i like that game, and i would play it again if i could.. it introduced me to the Crash series. Btw about the new Crash game, yep, it looks fantastic, but stop comparing it to Wrath of cortex please.
plus you can have your own opinion and you can like wrath of cortex but it is a fact that the bad models, most vehicles levels, repeated bosses, a useless power-up with sneaking, overall power-ups not being as good as crash 3, monkey bars being worst than before and water levels being the worst they have been in the series it does mean that it is bad. Also if wrath of cortex was the game that got me introduced to the series I would love it because of nostalgia but I would also look at this game with a critical eye.
I don't agree with it either but its because WOC was always unofficially called crash 4 in the west. It was also officially titled crash 4 in the east and twinsanity was titled Crash 5 in the east too. So they are comparing it because they are the two crash 4 games
WOC had good platforming levels, improved jet pack game play, phenomenal music, and the rolling ball gameplay thing controlled really well and was really fun and had great level verity like crash 3. But it had Bad graphics, bad enemy placement sometimes, crappy story glitches, medicare boss battles (though that's not saying much because its a crash game xD) and way too many vehicle levels. Its a decent game overall. If a remake for it happened all it would need is smarter enemy placement, maybe take out some of the vehicle levels, fix the glitches and obviously the graphjcs and it would be a pretty good crash game. Ain't watched the video just wanted to put that out there.
Yeah they just didn't seem to have a concrete style in mind so everything looks ugly and unorganized. Say what you want about Crash 4's style, but at least it looks consistent and easy on the eyes.
@@IREV00 WOC's devs barely had a year to make the game, which is why the graphics looked rushed, so you can thank Universal for that issue. Crash 4 obviously gonna look better(than practically any crash game before it) cause it's made on much more advanced hardware.
@@IREV00 I have nothing against how the redesigns in Crash 4 looks, but find them unnecessary if the game's gonna be a direct sequel to Warped since they could've stuck with the Nsane designs. Even WOC was consistent with the ND based designs for the characters and that game its own standalone adventure.
Really awesome review! The wrath of cortex will always be a childhood favourite of mine but has definitely aged very poorly by modern standards. Still like it however.
Rafter cortex is the fourth crash game this game it looks like it's a part to like a DLC like I don't know Toys for Bob know that there was already a Crash Bandicoot game for Game already out it's called Wrath of Cortex and this game doesn't even look like a crash game it's literally kill a crash franchise because it's terrible it has no originality like the crash wrap the cortex
The new crash game looks terrible yeah they may have better graphics but the gameplay and thing is not original better graphics does not mean that a game is better you can have a game with terrible Graphics but good gameplay like crash Wrath of Cortex that I think that this game is going to flop a kind of doing the same thing, like how they did with the Call of Duty where they put Battle Royale in Call of Duty but besides putting a towel rail they're putting things from different games that can mess is crashed up and doesn't look like originally crash down I think the games got flogged and it's not going to do too well you're just killing the crash franchise crash Wrath of Cortex is the fourth crash game in the series I don't know Toys for Bob actually nerd that but wrap the cortex is I think better than crash the new crash game for PS4
I've kinda grown to it. I still think Cortex looks bad but everything else looks vibrant and distinguished which is good. Not the best style, but it's a welcome one.

The crash fanbase is a lot like this.
Crash 4 It's About Time is the Donkey Kong Country Returns of Crash Bandicoot
People are hypocrites when they complain about WoC having too many vehicle levels when Warped also had lots of vehicle levels.

As soon as I got to the first water level in Wrath of Cortex I stopped playing, I saw the bulky submarine and immediately got unmotivated to continue.

The Runaway Kid I honestly enjoyed it up until that point I really liked the ball rolling level and the platforming stages were fine

The simple answer is because this Crash 4 is 20 years younger than Wrath of Cortex.
