I used to watch Spongebob and I think at certain moments when Patrick raised his voice it sometimes becomes a little more compressed. However it’s probably always meant to be decompressed and relaxed so it sounds more low pitched
@@NewYorkVocalCoaching Ok if you remember back when I mentioned that screaming was the hardest thing to do with Patrick’s voice. I think I may know the reason for that. Since Patrick’s voice is generally meant to be low pitched and decompressed for a deep dopey voice. Screaming with patricks voice right is hard because when you raise your volume the vocal cords are probably gonna sometimes wanna tighten and get more compressed to amplify the volume. In order to get Patrick’s voice right you have to concentrate to keep the vocal cords loosened at loud volumes which with decompressed vocal cords you may actually need a strong pair of lungs. Since the vocal cords are generally decompressed for Patrick you’re most likely gonna need a lot of air to shoot out to scream with Patrick correctly because tightening the vocal cords makes you sound far less like Patrick

I was actually really really good at Patrick, I've always thought Patrick was one of the easiest characters to do. I'm not able to do any other really good impressions, so I came here.
I have some ideas for future episodes: Kirby Morrow's Goku voice, Hiroshi Kamiya's Levi voice and Brad Swaile's Gohan and Light Yagami voice, or even a video teaching us how to analyse voices like you do in this video by ourselves. I love those videos, they're helping me a lot, thanks :)
