- This game deserved a better end than it got. Much like CROSSxBEATS before it, WACCA was a third-party game on SEGA hardware, and only lasted a few years before getting canned. While it's not the only capacitive touch game, nor the only circle game on the market, it is different enough to be uniquely enjoyable. Gameplay is good, music is good, theming is good, very approachable. Really nothing much about the game I'd really say I don't like!
This game got a lot of attention in overseas markets (USA), but they didn't bother finishing a proper English translation, and they made player accounts region mutually exclusive. Not the greatest decisions IMO, though with the latter, there could be other factors I don't know about. It's just a shame, since according to the demographics on the WebUI, they didn't really pay much attention to the market that was getting the most use out of the game.
At the very least, there's a good offline version of the game deployed so that these cabs can still see use in arcades today. - Игры
I don’t know how you did it but in the span of a week you’ve gotten me addicted to these kinds of “cab unboxings”
I hope to eventually get one of these one day!
Hope hard
Fantastic! As someone currently on your shipping list for wacca, I'm gonna be studying every frame of this one to be as ready as I can be when the day comes.
This is so cool, I really miss this game. thanks for showing this off!
Can’t wait for this addition
WACCA is offline now.
Great video man. It's a shame companies like Marvelous and Capcom have to negotiate with Sega because no one else will even consider leasing network service. (and Sega while they agree to it, has no incentive to make a deal that doesn't benefit them long term).
Glad to see the reproduction LED boards are being tackled so early on by several people.
Some info for you:
239 songs in the offline version total
Apparently Taiwan or Singapore region can set the game to 4 songs/credit, even in offline mode
Navigator is also random, but much more restricted (Elizabeth, Lilly, Luin or Demon Luin) so it can feel like it doesn't vary as much
i hope to buy one of these in a year- super helpful video
do you have one now?
@@Roni_mcconi no I ended up buying a maimai instead 😭
Oh wow, only 300 cabs in Japan is a lot lower than I expected. Admittedly I don't know what the typical numbers are for other more niche rhythm games, but I definitely would have guessed higher than that.
Insane machine :O
Let the bass kick
O-oooooooooo AAAAE-A-A-I-A-U- JO-oooooooooooo
One question bugs me for a long time: does console uses touch sensors, buttons or some sort of pressure sensors?
Capacitive touch
Nice, is the offline version covering all available songs? Can any cab turned to work offline? Or is there a server that can be installed home?
Offline removes all licenses. Final version enables offline and does it
Is there any hope that any of the online songs will be eventually made available somehow on the offline mode or are they gone forever?
Can't really comment on that. All I can really say is that there is a very strong and positive community that keeps these things alive.
I want that WACCA lol
You know what to do
BRAINNNPOWWAAAHHHHHH
Wait they won't release the dongle? Even though they are done supporting the game?
Hm? Most cabs come with the dongle now
where is this arcade?
This is my personal arcade in Reno

We’re importers. Pretty much any game that can be bought, we’ve gotten.
