My Round 1 has 4 offline finale cabs. I've been playing for about 3 months now, and I recently got my Glorious Crown mas clear. It's frustrating not having Touhou/Vocaloid in the folder, but it's been really good.
An interesting thing about maimai is how heavily it emphasizes multiplayer, you get 4 songs instead of 3 when playing two player (at least with all the cabs I've tried in Australia, I'm pretty sure it's the default), and also don't forget how the arcade cab is literally entirely designed around having two people play at once (instead of two separate cabs in a network based cab group)
sometimes u do see the forbidden 1 player cabinet lying around on the internet, also in the past if u play 1 player u also get 4 songs, sadly they changed that
I recently went to my local arcade in Melbourne, and I was extremely excited to see this rythm game just lying there. I spent at least three hours just playing it that day and haven't looked back I'm so happy to see Japanese arcade machines bleeding into the outside world!
the first time i was introduced to mai mai , i instantly got addicted id spent a shit ton of money just for a whole 5 hours (or more) of just mai mai. It got to the point where it felt like i couldnt go on without playing the game. I never regreted loving this game at all.
Thank you for making this video! I could not agree with you more about the accessibility of IIDX. It was (and still is) one of the most difficult rhythm games I have ever played, and was quite frustrating to learn, lol. Maimai looks way more accessible and I can't wait to try it out (if there is a machine nearby).
Yeah, it feels great to play your favorite anime series/songs on maimai and that you can show off to friends your skills and songs. for the "attention to detail" part, here's another one. In Ether Strike (a song from Arcaea), there's a sample that says "my guiding star." Now, in the maimai chart of the song, you have to drag a slide note (which the note is a star) along the sample
i started playing during 2018 cause i found out there is 1 in the mall near my college basically go there eveyday after class, it was maimai murasaki then it upgraded to maimai milk. i remember it can play 4 song on solo play but the current version not only u get to play only 3 song unless u play with duo but the layout was confusing, i try to select vocaloid song but it only show past maimai version label, i cant really take my time to figuring out as the machine has time and there is player waiting and i dont know how to change my speed tempo so i basically play expert mode with slow tempo, only after play for 3 round i know how to change speed tempo. if i have time i goto the deserted maimai in other mall to figuring out the layout

There are a couple of maimai machines in chief coffee Chiswick and free play city somewhere in London, but I can’t recall which versions they are
@@ZuiVeemo they're both finale, and the one in fpc has servers :)
rumors have it fps is gonna get a dx cab soon
I saw this video the day after going to an arcade and playing it for at least 2-3 hours
the parisoda at the background tho
lmao everytime when i go to an arcade, this game is always full with very skilled players so idk never tried playing the game
also imagine if i actually waited and finally being able to play it, the skillful players would probably be staring at me playing while I try to understand the game whilst waiting for their turn 💀
well i mean you could ask them to help you (or look confused so they offer to assist lol).
in my case one helped me get my player card and stuff, while the others cheer for me during my first playthrough. idk about your place/country but most are very chill and shit here. im sure they're happy to have newcomers enjoying the game
They have one of these at the cidercade in austin they also have jcube and sound vortex
Just played this game today, who's great idea was it that two people can't play different songs on it.
i played maimai for the first time today, it’s pretty fun :)
I completely agree with seconds 0-14!
i think this video inspired me a little to play maimai
12 month playin and finally able s rank lvl 12
wathced a video of someone perfecting the disappearance of hatsune miku on master, then immediately went to my local arcade and searched for "the washing machine game" to which some nice asian dude that was playing ddr showed me the machine and played a few songs with me.
I sucked but kept putting the dollar in. 1 loonie for 4 songs is pretty good for the arcade pricing
When i get to japan i will find this game asap
So had my first session recently and it's great fun! Though, I tried to scan my e-amuse IC and I was hit "check if card is compatible". The version was Universe DX. Is there any other icon denoting a cab is ONLINE other than saying it at the bottom of the screen like how DDR has it?
congrats on predicting the future there is now kaikai kitan
Would you ever make a video about Gitadora ? Great video btw
Maybe, though I have other games that I would like to cover first
@@FNWeeaboo sdvx 🥴🥴🥴
I accually found this fucking game in a mall i was in during the pandemic
I found this in my local arcade i got rly attached and the owners in the arcade just decided to shut it down like i asked them Why is it out of order told me cuz they gonna update it or some shit and the driver/usb thing is at manila and the have to shipped it here in Bacolod and that was 3 months ago now when i mention to them why is it down they just say no.... Like BRUH
Oh and they have sound voltex vivid wave and they dont connect it to the internet so they just tell the ppl who want to play sdvx that its just for show
UPDATE: ITS BACK AND THEY FINALLY CONNECT IT TO THE INTERNET!!!!!
I am so lucky! I live in a hour from Evropeisky (russian mall), and there is Round one opened! Now, i can easily go to round one and play this game!
There's a Scandia near me that has one, it's so amazing
Ah yes, GLOVES, EARPHONES AND AIME/BANANA PASSPORT IS IMPORTANT.....that's how I call bana passport hehe
Man, if only I was over in the east
I FREAKING love maimai
we *need* double charts for people that play on 2 machines at the same time
omggg i've always wanted to play maimai, and finally there's maimai at the nearest mall!!!!!!! when i went to the mall, i got really shy and i cant play cuz idk how the buttons near the game works 😭. i saw like, two arrow buttons. the left one has 1P text above it, and the right one have 2P above it. like, i have to click on the right arrow? to play??? (there was one person playing on the left one).
it looks like it's convenient to have cards instead of the tokens. i still dont know how the cards work tho.
also the multiple player thingy, i noticed that 2 maimai machines were in sync????? like, i have to wait for the other player to finish so i could play??? (honestly, idk how to socialize. this is quite a nightmare to me 😭. i wonder if there's like a time where no one's playing maimai 😬)
Probably going to play maimai in person for the first time tomorrow, been ghostplaying charts for a while and stumbled across this video
God I wished I played at gamenest in Vegas when I was there
Spent all my time getting addicted to CHUNITHM instead :kekw: also played a few SDVX songs there
Will update this :3
is it okay if I play Mai Mai even tho I'm bad at it?? I really want to play it but I'm embarrassed that the pro players waiting in line might hate me because im just playing the easiest mode rather than what mode they play
Of course! To be real with you everyone's too busy thinking about their next game rather than paying attention to you. So long as you're not destroying the machines or anything you should be good.
Just started playing maimai in the Philippines
