HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 18 июн 2024
- The Nike Zegama 2 is here and features a brand new Vibram outsole. The first Zegama is one of the most comfortable trail running shoes but the grip has always been questionable. So is this new version one of the best trail shoes out there now??

Great review totally agree they addressed everything besides the weight. I’m also about to run with the NNormal Tomir 2.0 can’t wait for your review
Mine arrive tomorrow and looking forward to using a Nike Trail shoe that has a good outsole!! Finally.
So happy to hear that the stability has been improved!!
Love your videos and content Ben.
Do you have a video of best hybrid road / light trail shoes?
Seems like so many like the nova blast nb 1080 are getting worse and worse in the rain or dirt roads
hmmm maybe after I go through the trail shoes I have now.., good review
Big fan of the Zegama 1! Used it in my Spring ultra (63.3k, 2700hm) on a partly dry, partly very muddy course. I was surprised that I didn't have much problem with grip in the wet. I will def be giving the Z2 a go later this year!
For my narrow foot, for sure the shoe fits me better in Version 2! Very stoked as the forefoot/toebox was too wide in Version1. New sole also grips much better than Gen 1. negative- those laces... so slippery, little tough to dial in lace fit again. Will swap out laces and I get will improve fit as cheaper laces tend to not slip as much.
Ive had my pair out for a few runs. So far a very positive experience.
If you head to Cornwall again, look up purple gecko events. Do loads of cool trail and road events. Some nasty hills down here.
Finally!!! Vibram on the Zegama 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Great review Ben! I got the older one, and I feel like my foot sits too high inside the shoe (never tried this with any other shoe) and hence bit unstable. Has this changed?
Thanks.
I like very light shoes, any suggestions for a very light neutral trail shoe?
Would love to see some of the North Face trail line up get reviewed Ben! Some good looking shoes there and underreported compared to the performance they deliver in my opinion
Hi Ben random question but I’m going to Monaco next week and as an F1 fan I would love to run the track is there a way of getting directions on your phone so you know where to go do you know?
are you ready for comrades? when do you arrive in SA? What day are you going to the expo you should have had a stand with your merch
Looking forward to the Nike trail comparison. Just got a steal of a deal on the Nike trail Pegasus for 60 dollars
I love my 2023 Pegasus Trails. Did you get the 2023s or 2024s?
Would love to get my hands on the mens black model, which was shortly on the us site and still on Nikes japan site. Hopefully they will be coming to the EU.
cant figure out if i wanna drop 2 bills on this or the kiger 9s. which one is best for 20 plus miles elevated and twisting trails
I'm new to trail running, I just moved near a park with a ton of great trails. Part of the route from my house is normal concerete. Are these good for a half mile on concrete before I get to the trail start?
Now, as the Ultrafly is cheaper than the Zegama 2, I ordered my 2nd pair of Ultraflys today. My Zegama 1 is still good for a few hundred k and I'm in no hurry to "upgrade" to the Z2.
You should do a video on best running shoes for Parkrun.
I’d like to see your thoughts on Cameron Hanes shoes
I bought adidas Terrex Agravic Ultra the other day, 50k in july ! Theyre going to take a lot to wear in but 🤞 they are alright
Any more padding under ball of foot behind/side big toe?
As a fan of Vibram five finger shoes.....I at least like the vibram outsole :) But in general I'm not really a fan of Nike shoes - they never seem to fit my feet quite right. I prefer Altra for trail shoes :)
You should review the new VJ lightspeed trail shoe. They claim it to be the fastest one on the market.
Took the plunge and bought the Norda 001 best decision I’ve made.
Hi Ben, this or speedgoat?
It’s an awesome shoe!!!
Listen, I got the Pegasus 4s Goretex version and they are some of the best shoes I’ve ever run in. They are slippery to the point it’s dangerous though. And with Goretex they are so good in the winter too. Does the Zegama a have a gtx version?
No, it also has this bathtub midsole that makes drainage quite poor, but I was big on Peg GTX before and this is a much better shoe in trade-off for the comfort, stability & traction.
Has your achilles issue with the Rebel v4 gone away? Are you still running in it? I see others on reddit complaining about this. As for the Zegama 2 I have also heard that the toebox is a bit more narrow then V1 so that's a dealbreaker for me as the V1 is already pretty narrow and I want my toes to splay out a bit naturally for stability and general foot health, not into bunion causing shoes.
Shoes don’t cause bunions.
@@jimjamthebananaman1 Of course they do. What a ridiculous statement. Its a common problem with women who wear tight high heels for example.
I’m my opinion Nike trail shoes are built for American, dry road to trail type situations. Brands like Saucony and Solomon are better options for muddy UK trails
Wish they kept version 1's upper.
Would love to see what you think of the Merrell Agility Peak 5, seen lots of good reviews!
Surely looking like the Nike Pegasus trail GTX
Ah St Martha’s church … great 👍 review, lost me with the width issues ..
Idk about it as a "narrow" shoe. It's definitely a wider shoe for me.
I've had the shoe for a couple of weeks and have used the Zegama in the past...took the Z2's out for a run and quickly realized they are way overbuilt, heavy and warm for my taste...I'm wearing them as street shoes now and even without socks in an air conditioned building they are super warm...super cushy for sure and better grip than the 1's, but way too much shoe for cruising actual mountain trail, probably would be better suited for easy crushed gravel running or road to trail...pretty disappointed overall...
I'm suspicious about this model. I had two pairs of the previous Zegama shoes and, in both cases, the upper broke where the outside fabric material meets the Nike's trail logo. The logo material is less flexible than the fabric, does not let it wrinkle as it wants when the shoe bends, and ultimately cuts it. This happened to me both in the left and right shoe, in the two pairs I had, after not even 400k. The shoe was great, but I need more durability to feel OK buying it even on sale.
Mine split at the toe box where the rock guard ends on the crease.
100% with previous comment. Merrell agility peak 5 for me.
No one cares
@@raury9 He literally asked people to give their opinions and choices in the comments, mate.
Everything got worse except the Vibram... I want a v1 vibram it was a classic that didn't need changed. Tongue was perfect, the ice spikes at the front were a huge part of the aesthetic and they didn't need to gain any weight/bulkiness for insulation.
Was talked into Puma endorphin and it is terrible. 115 dollars and cant run worth a beans in them. Will never leave nike again
Just got them. Not a technical shoe, it’s too high stack. This is an easy day , long mileage , recovery run type of trail shoe.
Almost 400g....800g for the pair 😂
Think I'll stick with the Merrell agility peak 5
What on earth is going on with those platform heels! Urgh.. Ill stick with the Alreas
Love the shoe but the color options are why I can't buy them...
Pretty sure NNormal is just Normal, not New Normal :p
ZoomX crumbles apart after 3 years. Yes i know 500km is the most use a person can get with running, but using casually afterwards and midsole breaks down in my invincibles. No more Nike for me.
Long your videos. Long the fact you don’t get a bunch of shoes and turn around and say these are wonderful shoes
