Lost A Picasso Clownfish Today

- I came home from work today to find that one of my Picasso Clownfish was missing. I figured he'd be back in the filter area as I have found him back there on 3 occasions, but that wasn't the case

Thanks for the encouragement DebTim! The weekend did get better. I finished a major part of the patio project and found him a new buddy.
sorry for your loss. i have lost giant danios like that even with a lid and very little room to escape. very frustrating.
It's amazing how they can find the smallest escape route when they really want out.
Sorry about the Picaso, I know the feeling. Bulk Reef Supply sells clear screen top kits so that everything is kept safe and no light is blocked or restricted.

Wow that sucked...my first Picasso clown disappeared after the first week and I never recovered the body
I hate when that happens! When I went in, they said it was a back week for clowns. Apparently quite a few decided to jump this week.
Oh shit that's not good at all .... wonder where the hell he went ??? Omfg he's in the guppy tank ??? That's really sad that he died like that I'm so sorry for your loss I have had a big mishap myself and will have a video out later

that sucks. i've had that happen too. i use glass tops on all my tanks for that reason. they also help with slowing down evaporation.
usafwx I now have a light diffuser as a barrier. Is still get evaporation, but no jumping
But it sure does suck when they jump
How much is your tanks measuremnt? 1.5 ft?

The Nuvo tanks by Innovative Marine have lids that are included. Could you build or purchase something like that? Cool channel btw!
The Nuvo screen lids are pretty slick - the entire system looks really nice. For now I've just put a fluorescent light diffuser over it that was left over from making frag racks. Thanks for the channel compliment. I'm having fun with it and trying to figure out exactly what makes for good content. Some ideas transfer over from my RC channel, but not all of them.
You have had them jump before and still did NOT cover the tank? ?
Dennis Younger well, he didn't jump out. The water was so high that it was flowing into the filter and he would get in there. After moving things in the filter area to get the water level lower, it hadn't happened since

yeah I just sit stuff on things without lids, ask my mouse lol. I made a lid for my hamster cage out of a square plastic fan. the front part that looks like plastic bars
