    This gives the casuals a better perspective of what jon would do to this guy. He was having problems with an old washed up Arlovski on the feet and had to blitz a rushed takedown and urgently get the choke. Jon has a way higher fight IQ and will pick him apart. Lets not act like Aspinall has better stand up or boxing than a prime Alexander Gustafson. Having a one two and pretty much only a right hand is pretty obvious. He is pretty much Darren Till with a ground game at heavyweight. Also the chin is always up and throws sloppy combinations. Jon will take this guy to deep waters and drown him

However, his fans are always quick to talk about how Jones was "beating up old guys" but never mention Aspinall tapping a 41 yr old Arlovski when he was like 27. I think people forget that Jones was the youngest champion (23) ever so it's kind of inevitable that he would be fighting "older" guys. • @TheStraightestWhitest
      @TheStraightestWhitest 5 месяцев назад +5

      @@Xformat01 I personally think Aspinall absolutely dogwalks Jon in the first round. Jon's praise is a lot more hype than it is substance in hindsight. He beat a lot of big names, but most were 5ft something, and half of them today would've been middleweights or welterweights. The only man he fought younger than himself prior to Gane was Reyes, and he lost that fight 48-47 no debate. The few good wins he has wherein he wasn't busted for PEDs like Glover Texeira, he cheated with record amounts of eye pokes after being forced to give up the first round because Glover was able to cover the distance before Greg all but told Jon to basically stick his fingers into those eyes to keep him away (same thing he did to Rampage).
      He has built an entire career on record amounts of fouls and PED busts, and beating old middleweights. Big names, but names don't define who wins a fight. Accolades don't define who wins a fight. Stats, age, size, and skill does. That's why despite being one of the least accomplished opponents he ever fought, Reyes gave him a clear beating.
      Jon doesn't have the tools to beat Tom. He's not strong or good enough to wrestle him. He's not a tenth as good on the feet. He's half as fast. He doesn't have a hundredth of the power. Basically all he has on Tom is cardio (possibly), reach, and endless fouls. It won't be enough.
