Thanks for share this video. I usually do quite similar with my advanced elements kayaks when they got a puncture in the seams. It really works. Have a good one.
Hi Eugene, I have a similar repair, but I was just wondering if “pvc cement for vinyl and fencing” would also work? Or do I need to get that specific glue? Thanks!
Hey I have a similar hole right alongside the seem , I tried to put the patch but no result . I did watch your video and I wanted to ask one think . Are you trying to say that I should just apply the glue without patch and use some clips to hold it together for 12 hours ? Will it be able to hold the pressure ? I bought it from craigslist too now kinda regretting my decision, I've already tried to patch it twice but no effect since the surface around seem is uneven . Thanks
The video doesn't really show what you've done. So there's a leak along the seam; I'm guessing that you folded the seam over the hole after applying the pvc glue, clamping it down & leaving it to dry for 12hrs. Is that the procedure? This will make my 2nd seam repair; I'm starting to wonder if it's a weak point in the AE design :/

Trying this tonight, my Pelican kayak has given me 36 trips on the water, hoping for at least 24 more!
Thanks from Ireland, Eugene, I'm going to try that now : )
That's great. Mine is still holding after a couple years.
If they would properly tape the seams on these tubes this wouldn't be a problem.
Thanks for the repair tips!

Correct! that is how I repaired mine. After a year, it still holds great.
@@eugeneheise2863 I'll report back tomorrow. Got some bricks applying weight to my patch job at the moment.
I have leak on lining of kayak not on tube
When you've had head and neck cancer causing dry mouth, then come back and talk to me! Or don't watch my videos.
