Just watched this after watching it aged 14 in 2001 after begging my parents to let me stay up after the 10pm news 🤣. Sat and watched it with my wife and we absolutely loved it!
Thank you so much for uploading this, watched it years ago & loved it, so good to see it again! Fab British film, the Americans could learn a lot about quality film making from this gem!
saw this once on tv..recorded it and watched it while going in and out of rooms..intending to sit and watch properly..never did and lost it...searching paid off and thanks to carl,,here it is and i thank you so much..loved it..
Looks like I’m not the only one who remembers seeing then when I was really young! I remember staying up and secretly watching it in my room in 2001! It must have been re played on tv because I was 6 in 2001 and I watched it when I was about 10! I never forgot it as it was a great movie!!
Watched this when it first comr out with my late little nana bless her .thsnkyou for the upload and the good memories .i completely forgotten about hoew good this was ❤
This building is located in a place called debden just outside east London..I used to work at debden tube station which is directly opposite this building at the same time as the theft took place..in the early morning all the women used to walk over the railway bridge and walk down a metal fenced path into the building...they all looked pretty miserable...but it did happen and it was kept as low key as possible..I'm pretty sure that no one was able to work out how much was stolen, or for exactly how long...great program.
@@dante4ever563 they don’t run the serial numbers straight away, you can take millions into a bank, they don’t ask a thing, they want your money in their bank, besides they got caught when they did run the serial numbers
I try hard to order this film for HMV but you can not get hold of this film but remember tape this on VHS but no longer have any more. Thanks for uploading this film it's great to seeing UK stars at there best in TV show.
Great show. Remember watching it when I was a kid. Love how they managed to get REAL money that was totally untraceable out and spend it in the days where Cash was king and not carry the sort of stigma it does today
Comes recommended by Olympia so...... Guess I'll do as she says? God, lockdown 2.0 has really made me suggestible with faaar too much time on my hands haha
My parents met while working at the Bank of England in the 1950s. My mum left to stay home and have kids, my dad was made redundant either in the late 60s or early 70s and ended up working for the newspapers. I don't know what my mum did but my dad was a compositor.
a bit of hit and miss in the quality, now and then, but saying that, its a super movie, and and a reasonbley good upload, so i am giving a thumbs up, and Thank you x
Nostalgic. Such a nice story. The aura of the old times...not very old though...bt world was beautiful earlier. True feelings. In the end they say at least we are mates!! Wat a line!
Here's a tip if i want to watch a good drama and i can't remember the name of it but i know the name of an actress or actor in it. i find it by looking through their filmography
Even though this is based on the Loughton Incinerator thefts it has a touch of the Ealing comedy about it as the story is both daring and told in a humorous way with Caroline Quentin from Jonathan Creek leading a good cast.
I was......six when I first saw this on TV as a kid and I fucking loved it. It was my first TV film with real people in it that I actually enjoyed watching! XD I've been waiting for years for them to re-show it on ITV....and thanks to RUclips and the uploader I'm able to watch it again!! Yay!! Psssst this ones better than the American one! :P
brilliant!!!!! Brits always do it best!!👌👌👍 (was there not an American version called Mad money?? it had Queen Latifa and that girl from Dawson's Creek, Tom Cruises wife in it)
Jason Barron yes she is my baby sister Georgia Mackenzie. She has done some more acting, probably not reaching the heights she should have done. She has a small part in ‘Unforgotten’ as the forensic doctor.

Saw this a few years back when it was first aired and maybe ive just got old since then. The story has so many holes in it! It's like when we first see the incinerator room. That whole room is ridiculous!! Sending the money to execution!! Hahaha!! Good watch though.
imagine doing this a year before they change the notes to the new plastic ones lol Oh shit! We need to spend all this money before it becomes worthless! D:

I was 18 back then & loved it , all the actors are on corrie or eastenders now,, & you can see a mile away this was taped on a vhs tape 🤣
Yeah I think it was December 2001 I was 13 and was allowed up late lol

Appsolutly brilliant film, never seen it before thank you so much 👏👏👏
Nice to see again all these years later. So much better than the stuff that's on TV these days.
Yeah definitely. They never seem to repeat the good stuff..
Yes I just wish they would put it on DVD.

Got to love this, nobody appreciates money as much as those who need it.
One of the most realistic and hard hitting crime movies you will ever see. The way they cracked that seemingly impregnable padlock system was genius!
How did they get Black spray pain thru security
Disguised it as a can of polish
My hero for uploading this, I have looked everywhere since I first saw it on itv, thank you so much.
