Dec of 2017 we said goodbye to my first cousin Marlon who had down syndrome. He wasn't expected to live even a few days but my aunt fed him with any eye dropper until he was strong enough to nurse. He lived to be 57. I can easily say that he touched the heart of everyone he met. I miss him but am so blessed to have him in our lives for as long as we did. People who think we should "eradicate" down syndrome children from this world have no idea what pure, unconditional love looks like. God bless your beautiful family.

LoraLee DaisyG this is a touching story that reminds me of my tia(aunt) and she was amazing and the same with your cousin Marlon my grandparents where told she wouldn’t live to be three days the doctor said and well that doctor was wrong she proved him wrong she lived past him he died before her and probably lived a good live not judging people she was about 45 when she passed In 2011 I was 10 years old she was like my sister I grew up with her (my grandparents I call my parents) and I know she’s up there wanting me to let people be aware of her journey in life ❤️

....who thinks we should just eradicate them all? It’s just about every woman making that choice for herself (with the father of course if he is in the picture/they are married/he will be parenting with her).

@@amandacharlebois9295 Iceland for one. They brag that they've "eradicated" down syndrome which is double speak for we've aborted every baby we could find that tested positive for ds. And they're certainly not the only country doing this.

@@WNT2BLV exactly. I've never known a family with a special needs child that wasn't made stronger and happier for it. We've become a people who constantly question the package that God sends His gifts in. Of course, God has been replaced with just about anything else so that doesn't help either.

We just had a baby girl with Down Syndrome and a congenital heart defect (Complete AV canal defect). Despite the challenges, we are soooo happy and blessed to have this new baby girl in our family. Her 5 siblings are super protective of her and we cannot wait to see what she has in store for us as she continues to grow, thrive, and use her God given gifts to touch the lives of others, because we know she has a big purpose and she is a gift from God to us!!!! 🥰🥰🥰❤❤❤ Thank you for sharing your wonderful story!

My baby was born last Saturday January 20th at 9:25 am and I was shocked to find out he has Down syndrome because during the pregnancy we did all the possible tests including the Down syndrome one and everything was fine. My wife was broken into pieces with the news and it was a hard pill to swallow, but we do know it’ll be ok because we were not given more than we can handle and God still have a plan for our baby boy. We’re grateful to have him the way he is .

Congrats on your baby boy! My daughter Quinn was born with Down Syndrome Oct. of 2015. The diagnoses can be scary, but doctors DON'T know everything! Honestly you just hit the jackpot! Your son will show you much more beauty in this life than you ever knew existed. We joke that my husband and I made a Super human because of her absolutely amazing and superior extra chromosone. Please take a moment to breathe and disregard any negative ideas about what his life will be. I'm so happy for you and your wife! You also made a super human that this world needs more of! Well done! Get ready for the most beautiful moments of your life!

This video was so beautifully made as well as spoken. Having a daughter myself who is autistic it felt like I was listening to myself speak! You mentioned the 7 day experience which I myself literally went threw, I’ve had the sad thoughts about her quality of life, and feeling sad for Kaylani, which then turned into me feeling ready to be a great mother to an autistic child and not only accepting it but WELCOMING it as well. Just as you I wouldn’t change a hair on her head, she’s sooo perfect the way she is, as is Nora. Issac is the most handsome little guy, and they will forever be each others keepers.👫❣️

I had my down's syndrome son at 20 years old. I was so happy because my great grandmother adopted 29 children in LA California that had profound problems such as heart disease and other issues. She and my great grandfather used ALL of there money to get help for the children. Each room was filled up with Down's children. I'm thankful God gave me my own child. What a beautiful blessing I have had for 32 years now. I'm over the moon to have a good son that touches the heart of so many people. Love and light oxox. May God bless you angel

I helped run group homes for developmentally disabled adults. Our goals were to teach as much independence as possible, with dignity and compassion, so our clients had as "normal" a life as possible. The parents were so proud of the accomplishments of their adult children, seeing them thrive as valued members of the community.

My 10 yo D come home from school on the 21st March so excited talking about DS day and the speech that one of her friends made about her little sister whom also goes to the same school. My D was saying that her friend spoke of all the happiness that her litter sis brings to her family and how their world is so much better because they have her......She said that some teachers drop few tears and I asked her how she felt and she said "I was amazed mum I just wanted to learn everything about my friend and her sis, I did not feel sad I just admired both of them because of that unconditional love that I now see they have for each other.....I can't find room for sadness about their lives'....Then, my D was using her I pad and the following day I noticed that she was watching videos about down syndrome and that is why I ended up learning about your princess. God bless you as a parents of your 2 angels and as the beautiful and special family that you 4 have.

She is such a precious little angle bless you sweet souls you wonderful people, these are the kind of people we need in this world kind-hearted loving people, when life gives you tiny reasons to cry such as not having your Cheeto puffs, people like this have so much more reasons to be upset and cry but they don’t, so just remember this next time you have a very small reason to cry you have way way way easier than most people so don’t cry stay strong and remember we actually have these beautiful souls on our planet that can push through anything because if our world was made of these kind of people it would be PERFECT. So be a bit more like them every day by being kind.

My husbands niece has downsyndrome honestly she is a funny, happy, sarcastic, beautiful girl. She is younger then her years at 17 now she still like hello kitty and can't manage independently and most likely never will but she is a blessing in her own right. She has heart problems also and had open heart surgery at 3 months old. Bless you Nora and ur family PS I. Love the name Nora beautiful

When I came across this video it was a surprise because I wasn't necessarily looking for it at the time, but when I saw the thumbnail picture of you three it made me smile so much. Here's why... I am almost 21 years old and I am the firstborn daughter of my parents. At the time they were very young. My dad was 23 and my mom was 22, they were told that there was a possibility that their baby would be born with down syndrome. They didn't know at the time that I would be a girl. They spent months seeing the world differently. They tried to prepare themselves for me, because not having me was never an option for them. Finally around my mother's 6th month of pregnancy they were able to take a test to be absolutely sure... They waited 2 weeks for the results and to their surprise they found out that I would not be born with down syndrome and that they were having a baby girl. Growing up I knew this story and it made me think every time I saw a girl with down syndrome, "that could have been me". It makes me have a sensitive spot for people with down syndrome and their stories. The strength that young parents show to love them and shield them from a crazy world is inspiring. The love of a parent is everything, and if she has that, she can take on the world and teach it so many amazing things. Congratulations on your beautiful, beautiful family.
