Doing this to my 2017 F-150 fixed my vibration/shudder issue on the accelerator pedal. Thank goodness that fixed my issue.
Great video. Thank you for sharing.
Great, informative video. I'll probably do it just like this; including showering myself with transmission oil.
I dont' own a torque wrench. Is there a set that any of you guys recommend? I have so many socket sets that I'm thinking just getting a 1/4 and 1/2 inch torque wrench might be adequate for working on my '18 Raptor..
looked pretty clean! I'm at 60k almost on my 2020 when do you recommend changing it? heard diff things from ford
I would go ahead and do it at 60k miles.
Hi, great video, thanks for sharing, friend a query, didn't you have to move the transmission mounts to remove the transmission tray?, is it different on the 2019Ford f150 xlt?, as I have seen videos where you have to raise the transmission a little bit and remove the cooler line so that the transmission tray comes out.
On the Raptor you do not need to touch the transmission mount. The XLT is a little different due to the location of the oil cooler.
@@SuburbanRanch OK, I appreciate it
Why they still not put drain plugs on transmission pans is beyond me
I agree they should put them on the transmission pan!
Do you have any thoughts on how to flush out the remaining 1-2 quarts of dirty/used fluid in the trans-cooler behind the radiator? Otherwise, would that not contaminate the clean fluid added to the pan? Thanks
u use a machine that runs fresh oil in and suck it out untill the oil coming out is fresh
So this wouldn't be considered a flush, Correct? Do you recommended not flushing
This is not a flush, just a drain and refill. I prefer this method as you also change the filter.
The 2 stage filter picks up wear metals from the initial startup. It won’t purify old fluid. The transmission was designed to be flushed. 60k and 120k. Get all the old fluid out.
How many miles were on that fluid??
About 53k
My raptor supplement says to put in 13.7 quarts?
When you drop the pan, you don’t get all of the oil out. There is still a lot of oil in the torque converter and valve body. In this case, dropping the pan only gets about half of the oil out.
Thanks man. About to change mine at 50,000 mi. Just wanted to make sure I don’t ruin my 19 raptor lol
u really should be flushing it...
Is that possible DIY?
