You are a reviewer nonpareil! Thought provoking, irascible, reflective, exhausting and rambling. Although I may not always agree on a game I always find your detailed playthrough and reviews stimulating. The L&C series is going to be fantastic for the more 'obscure' corners of the medieval period. I loved Nevsky (and burn my brain on it) but skipped Almoravid when I knew Inferno was near, medieval Florence and Sienna appealed more. As a Brit the Plantagenet game looks promising. Take care of yourself Calendale and keep those reviews coming.
Loved the review and am hoping to dive into this series. Calandale, you mentioned not being a fan of Ben Madison’s games. I just picked up The Mission recently. What’s your objection?
The combat system he designed, where you choose how many dice to roll. The effect of overcommitment is not believable to me. The enemy should take some damage. There might be ways of saving it, but AFAIK he hasn't tried any.
I have seen many of your reviews over the years. Listen to someone with your experience and understanding of games is always a pleasure, thanks!

I'm all in on this series. To me, every medieval conflict is deserving of treatment, and nothing's come along that matches these.
@@calandale I look forward to hearing your thoughts on Inferno. By far the craziest and most enjoyable L&C so far, in my opinion.
I love you enthusiasm for games, your analysis and presentation style.
Inferno has a ransom mechanic that is pretty exciting. I’ve only played Inferno once, but can’t wait for more…
futile and feudal. well played🙂
Time for some monsters like TSS and Wellington's Victory
Not for a while, I fear. I've plenty of smaller things I really want to get to
Plantagenet is shipping now
I know it charged, but I haven't gotten a shipping notice yet.
Such an interesting guy, one of a kind!

Any plans to take a look at Littoral Commander? 🤔
None at all.
Was Imperial Struggle the game on the 18th century that you were struggling to recall?
.. must be
No. It was AWE, le grande siecle
Imperial struggle has something similar I guess, but it's too abstract a game to really stick in mind that way.
Thank you for the video!
I did not know this game existed and enjoyed hearing your thoughts on what makes it interesting.
This series is the most exciting one I've seen in a while.
23:12 - Whow, cool!!
Hey that’s a pretty good Joe Biden
want me to sniff your hair?
@@calandale lol
