    Happy Birthday, KIM!

It always baffles me on how these artists managed to make music sound so effortlessly good when in reality it was a very hard skill.
And after all these years of collecting records im still discovering more artists from the 60' & 70's My obsession is this music!

I then went back to soul with gloria jones tanted love, then frankie valli's solo 70's hit the night! Remember that? I do love it when i hear a song that hardly gets played anymore but still stands high above most.
Remember the whispers & the detriot spinners. I have been playing roberta flacks debut from 1970 on vinyl has some great guitar on it. Another of my favs is bobby womacks up on 110th street ''Yeah'' Or curtis mayfields debut also 1970. Cheer keyboard captain. Captain and toni tennille were great lol....

What a GREAT song, and what a BEAUTIFUL WOMAN....I never knew or made the connection between the two. There were so many beautiful women of that era that could sing, and so many others took center stage. I first heard of her singing with Marvin Gaye, and I wasn't old enough to give her the attention she deserved. I just turned 68, and I remember so much because my older cousins always collected records, and we had " house parties" on the weekend. I wanted to be older then, but they seemed to be having all the fun. I miss those days. You learn a lot by watching and listening..
Looking back, I realize how talented these artists were, and how lucky we were that Berry Gordy could assemble so many in one place. It could only have happened then and there. I'm still appreciating the soul heritage. Kim, I'm still discovering more of what you did. I'm in AWE, and very pleased.

This is my favorite MOTOWN song, and a blessing to see it in video form, as this is the best song for all of us who love doing "The Wagner Walk" here in Philly, and The Delaware Valley. Thanks Jerry Blavat for always playing this gem!

The only Motown female singer who sounded even remotely close to Martha Reeves, just as powerful and emotive vocally.
