It's amazing that you have such a capacity to learn such profound things at an early age. Many of the things you highlight are things I have already learned. With age should come wisdom and understanding. Even at an early age I would listen attentively to my great grandparents and grandparents when staying summers with them. I found that so much heart ache and good productive ideas and knowledge are learned by taking the time to spend with them. I could by pass much of the pitfalls in life by learning from their mistakes. The fire is hot and it burns. I only have regrets that I was not confident enough to follow through on some of the more mature and advisable pathways I had learned from these sages. It's sad that so many young people do not want to listen or learn from our elders. At least if we are given experienced knowledge and wisdom, we then have more choices in the known. The forest is vast and sometimes old paths that were lost and forgotten are actually the safest and best paths to take. Peace to you and keep learning. Isn't it great?!
You had so many interesting and overwhelmingly inspiring discussions with women on your channel within the last year, at least in my opinion. Nonetheless, out of all the individuals you are referring to in this highlight reel not a SINGLE one is mentioned during this one hour monologue. So what are the chances that of all interview partners not a single female made a lasting impression on you? Just to be clear: I am not a fan of feminism, but I wonder whether there is a significant bias planted inside of you. Or would you rather say that the men and women you have spoken to just talk about totally different topics and that specific topics you are particularly interested in are almost exclusively adressed by men? Although I admit there is a tendency for men to speak more and in-depth about philosophical topics and topics regarding self-help, your interview partners did not reflect these gender based differences that strongly for you not to include the thoughts of at least one female.
I sincerely appreciate this, the synopsis, the interviews, the level of care you put into your work and especially how you interview people. Every time is a rewarding experience and motivator for me to do the thing. Absolutely, THANK YOU!!!
This is such an insane volume of sourced wisdom, knowledge, and perspective combined with a British accent. Freaking thank you. I hope everyone hears this and puts it into application.
I already know this is gonna be good. Best podcast that I've listened to and I'm a podcast junkie. Nobody can take information and break it down in such a concise and relatable way like Chris does. I really appreciate the endless curiosity and humility to his approach as well. You've helped me accept difficult things and improve my own life and the lives of those around me as a result already. Thank you and keep up the great work!
The fact that your video has no fancy text, stock images and video - all talkies but full of info makes it that effective. Most people recommend to make video full of fancy editing but the miss giving the value point. So thanks, Chris. I am currently contemplating to revamo how I do my videos. On top of this, what you do is inspiring us to move forward. Thanks for dedicating your time and energy to share these as we end the year and welcome a new one!
My biggest lesson: Speed begets Speed, Life-Velocity is the supreme metric upon which all other metrics rely. As Seneca once said, "Life is long if you know how to use it". People flock to you if you have momentum and money finds its way into your pockets. Cheers!
Your section on dealing with critics really helped me. More than you know. I work in an industry where my “product” and output is always in the spotlight, even though I don’t want it to be. People are quiet about the best sellers and loud about a momentary website fault. It messes with your head. Like they are waiting to drag you down…. Anyway, love your podcast and good luck with the growth going into 2023!
I've always struggled to get into podcasts and because of my ADHD, I hyperfocus on a new podcast for a little while and then can't bring myself to continue with it, but yours is the only one that I've watched regularly on RUclips and have for over a year now. So congratulations on getting this ADHDer to stay interested in your content haha. Love from Sydney, Australia 👍🏼
This is brilliant! I love the part about regrets! I’m German and it is our genetic propensity to be obsessed with regret, it just wrecks us because it means we failed to do the perfect thing! Viewing it as an unavoidable part of life is so liberating!!!
Chris Williamson is the intellect that the modern world needs and deserves. We can't wait what wisdom you will bring your listeners in 2023. May you have a Merry Christmas! Cheers! 🎄
12:55 this is such a real thing that I experienced many times in the past, now I know to always take full action before speaking on something so as not to delude my mind
I’m so glad I came across your podcast this year Chris. Listening to your show and guests has helped me so much as well as giving me the confidence that I’m not alone in how I see the world. I hope that in 2023 that you’ll do some sort of road show in the UK. It’ll be so nice to see you, hear you and chat to you. Hope you have a lovely Christmas and all the best for the future xxx

Chris, you're an excellent podcaster for what's that's worth. I've watched enough to get a sense of your essence - you can't hide that kinda thing for long. What's funny is the critics who watch just snippets or a few minutes and make snap(negative)judgement. This happens with conservatives (or people lumped in with them) in the media all the time. Their biggest critics don't really watch them. I'm not calling you a conservative, just using it as an example. Do not worry about the eyes on you, it's the posers who don't really watch you but feel free to label you that need to be ignored.
Brilliant Chris. Give this 34 year old child, who's a Lawyer and hopefully a Phychologist in the future, your heart in order to do the one thing in order to stop addiction. Blessings man. Much love and respect.
Chris, I'm about 16 minutes in and I just wanted to drop a comment to let you know you're killing it on this episode. Rob Henderson's comments on propaganda are so relevant in my opinion.
You've crushed it this year Chris! Really have enjoyed Modern Wisdom this year and has inspired me to pursue my own projects this coming year. Cheers to another year!
Chris, thank you a lot for this video. 3 key lessons: 1. We need to choose our regrets 2. If you don't make a decision, it will have a cost. 3. Whatever resource you use, if you don't use it mindfully, it will be just wasting
a profound psychological quote i heard this year was -" you are free to choose, think what ever thoughts you choose to think but not free to feel the feelings that thought will bring you." So try to discard negative, doubt type thoughts at the outset. A daily, hourly, minute by minute practice.
Literally had to pause it and comment….. middle section about dealing with critics (and yourself being the worst of them all) absolutely fantastic and Thankyou for speaking it out loud :)
One can not love oneself if one does no know and understand oneself. What I learned is that there are three stages of consciousness: Childhood, adulthood and Selfhood. Only a very few people ever reach Selfhood. Now, however I have found a very simple way to teach all others how to reach Selfhood and liberation. I call it Instant Enlightenment. It is free to anyone who can grasp this Truth. "Of all illumination which human reason can give, none is comparable to the discovery of what we are, our nature, our obligations, what happiness we are capable of, and what are the means of attaining it." You are right Chris, our wisemen are not wise...
Amazing !!! Last year, I came across Mr. Williamson for the first time by means of his of youtube shorts (primarily the ones with thought-provoking quotes) The one by 'Timothy Leary' called 'Find the others' has stuck with me, and continues to amaze me, it's as if it bears something unfathomably deep within it....there's something special...about the quote itself, as well as the manner in which Mr. Chris delivers it, presenting it before his audience
My first comment on any RUclips video. And I listen and watch a lot of RUclips videos. So much knowledge in one video. I have to go back and watch it again. Thank you for putting this together.
The thing about what other people think of you was spot on. I'm also an only child and have always had the same thought that everyone else is judging me based on some unrealistic idea that everyone else has their shit together and knows the real truth about the world. Needed to hear that piece really badly right now. Thank you for this video and keep up the great content!
This the most condensed amount of wisdom I think I’ve ever heard in a Podcast and I’m incredibly grateful for you sharing this - especially the Hitch quote. Keep going strong fella and more power to you in 2023.
I started following this channel back in March 2022, and it's always been really awesome to see how much knowledge I seek out from this channel and from its guests. Thanks Chris for putting this people on you podcast and for your commitment! I really really thank you! This channel is awesome and it's all because of you!
Brilliant idea! These episodes with the most important lessons are such a game-changer, especially at the end of the year when you're setting goals for the next one. They’re such an inspiration for not just what to write, but how to structure everything. Rewatching some from past years gave me so much clarity and perspective 🥰 Thank you, Chris, for creating these amazing episodes! 😘
This is one of the only real "philosophy" podcasts, in the strict sense of 'philia' + 'sophia' (love of wisdom), given that "wisdom" is about how to live, more than "here is an abstruse argument from Heidegger" or some rundown of the history of idealism or something. Love Modern Wisdom. Thanks Chris!
One of the best podcasts I have heard. Seriously, this has infinite value. Sometimes I hesitate to click on podcasts if it's only one person but nailed it Chris. Thankyou, hope you read this

I appreciate the variety of guests you have. The podcasts are getting consistently better. Your listening skills and knowing when to listen and when to interject are excellent. Looking forward to 2023.
Chris, I found you from Hamza's channel originally but I've ended up watching you far more than I watch him. The depth of your insights have been a welcome change, especially now I consider myself beyond the "level zero" of self-improvement. Thank you for adding so much value to my life - excited to see which guest you have scheduled for 2023!
Hey Chris. I’m not sure if you’re going to read this but I hope you do. You are probably the best podcaster in the world right now. You have the most interesting guests, manage to get the most of your guests and are also the most eloquent and articulate host. You have brought much wisdom and joy to the millions who listen to you. Your hard work is paying off mate, really happy for you. Also, do a Q&A soon; I have a few questions for you! 😂
Thank you, Chris. I've improved so much this year and you have been one of my best coaches for years now. Jordan as well. This year I have improved my family and community. This was only possible because years ago I first worked on me. You don't just inspire people, you cause change. I don't mean to give you credit for my success but you and Jordan were some shining lights during a hard time in society. Thank you for being there.
Welcome to America, Chris😃 I hope you enjoy living with the USA constitution. Your podcasts are fascinating, funny and full of life affirming values. I look forward to listening to you in 2023. Happy, healthy New Year! Diane Dean
Legitimately one of the best podcasts in the game right now. I am a fan of both Rogan and Lex, but I feel like you have better takes than Rogan and are more charismatic than Lex. You have such engaging and challenging conversations with such a wide variety of people, and have opened me up to so many new lines of thought. Chris, I really appreciate all you do man, keep it real!
Chris - Your show was my best find this year. I found you through Rogan. I’m a retired teacher (4th grade) - I still substitute teach. The insights I get from you go right into my lessons. Kids eat them up because they’re hungry for some wisdom from adults. Thank you
Hello Chris. I was not a fan of you before. When i encountered your channel I first thought just random guy who wanted to started a podcast and here he is any will just speak random topics and random stuff and it will not be worth while to watch this content, but as as the time pass and I see the guests. all my favourite people(jbp, joe rogan) were on. The knowledge that i achieved from these podcasts helped me a lot. Thank you for creating such wonderful content. Hoping to listen more of your content. All the best
Thank you Chris. Your podcast is absolutely amazing, your guests are interesting and informative, and I think you are a tremendous host. You do alot of listenning and let your guests unwrap the complicated things they are discussing. I think I heard you say, often you have one question or 2 to begin your segments and then the fate of the interviews lies with chance and your intuition to just surf on the waves that present themselves. Great job Chris - love your work, and of course Thank you. Jason, Vancouver, 🇨🇦
Chris, you are inspiring. You have this humorous candor while you drop atomic insight bombs that makes me laugh and take notes at the same time. You are so easy to listen to and I'm ultra grateful to have found your podcast. Cheers, my friend. PS. It is also heartening to know a fellow young person on the pickleball scene - I've been playing a year and I'm obsessed (except when the old folks with mega tennis skills torch me).
Thanks Chris. Struggling a bit with some feelings of self doubt and not being good enough, especially at work with a new role - so this is great timing and a big help, as always. Thank you sir. Keep going.
Loved this episode dude, especially the ‘choose your regrets’ from Hitch/Murray. It’s very true and actually quite comforting when looking back on decisions in life. Congrats on your year.
This is like the premium highlight of your many hours of works. I'm delighted and grateful that you even put this kind of content for free. I really appreciate the mind expansion you offer and we acknowledge in good use. Happy new years Chris!
Success is relative. But, generally it’s just constantly moving forward: Being competent at many things, being able to take on your responsibilities, doing a job you like, fulfilling your hobbies and interests, maintaining a great marriage, raising well adjusted, self-sufficient kids. That’s it.
Total respect on your channel and views as many people feel exactly like that. I have had a decade from hell, erasing my past with the attitude i received from friends and family. However, in every day life people we meet judge us, price us and decide whether what our company is worth…personality is not even considered unless of course crisis happens to THEM…is that a sign of our success!!! I think it is…very lonely path especially when you don’t think like that and easily rolled into friendships because you are kind and friendly.
I only found this podcast/channel recently, which is surprising because I have followed a lot of your guests for years. This is a huge source of wisdom, perspective, and knowledge. Thank you!!
"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added onto you" (Matthew 6:33). We put God first when we worship Him, praise Him, thank Him, trust Him, and rely on Him rather than ourselves or anyone else. We seek God first when we go to Him for comfort, strength, and reassurance, acknowledging who He is and what He can do. God bless! 🙏🏻 😇
I stumbled on this only this morning and justed wanted to say a big 'Thank You'. Some really insightful thoughts which has got me thinking, and looking to implement in the new year. Good luck with everything.
Thanks for the show. Really looking forward to more in 2023. Big fan. Re Ryan Holiday, I saw another RUclipsr talking about this and the phrase he used was “action faking.” Basically this is the big problem with the self-help industry. Very easy to fall into the trap of reading a book on how to do what you want to do and never end up doing it…
@CW loved what you said about motivation, overcomplicating motivation is more prevalent rather than less. Which is why I love watching and learning about motivations than actually doing the hard work!
Chris, you a such a lovable and intelligent gentleman. Please hear my gentle yet firm suggestion for you to prayerfully read the Bible several times through. What I’m blown away by is the fact that God who made us has written the ultimate book about Himself, us and life in general. He wants to free you from your all consuming quest to figure it out for yourself. Bless you dear young man!
Chris, thanks for all the insights through your work and sharing and uplifting of others brilliant minds. It’s done me a world of good tuning in over the past year and some. Salute!
Excellent summary and inspiring. Thank you. I appreciate all of the content you are putting out. Great conversations with an array of people. This is exactly what I have been looking for...Saluté to a peaceful and healthy 2023.
Around the 27:40 mark, I remind myself that everyone is dealing with their own things in life and people just don’t have the focus and mindfulness of what I’ll be doing. Sometimes people get so wrapped up thinking that people are watching them and x,y,z and truth is….they don’t care what you’re doing they have their own life they’re focused on.

You are the best Chris, thanks for all your work!
A random guy from Italy
Absolutely brilliant mate. Thanks for the great videos this year!!
Rob Henderson, William Costello and Douglas Murray were among my favourite guests of this year.
Two hours of mindfully shoveling snow will do it, too, but there IS a greater - if pedestrian - purpose! Best of both worlds!

It's my British brother Chris. Appreciate all the work mate. Keep up the great work.
Chris - Your show was my best find this year. I found you through Rogan. I’m a retired teacher (4th grade) - I still substitute teach. The insights I get from you go right into my lessons. Kids eat them up because they’re hungry for some wisdom from adults. Thank you
Thanks for the content man. It really helps when I gotta get my stuff together
Thanks
Hope you do this every year, the distilled wisdom presented this way is really easy to ingest. Each one of these points is a banger
Peterson,Willis, Rogan are all brilliant in their different ways
I’ve gotten wisdom from all 3 of them in different manners

These lesson videos are always so awesome, appreciate you sharing with us. Cheers mate
3:34 As in the song Free Will by Rush, ''If you choose not to decide you've still have made a choice''
This is one of the best mindset videos I've seen all year. Distilled wisdom. Great work!
This was a great mash up and certainly needed this time of year. Thank you Christopher!!
Not even 10 minutes in and this is resonating with me already. Great work man thanks for the summary of all you've learned!
Thank you for this great information summary - building healthy mindsets and healthy relationships is what we need to hear about.
I only found this podcast/channel recently, which is surprising because I have followed a lot of your guests for years. This is a huge source of wisdom, perspective, and knowledge. Thank you!!
Huge fan of your content, Chris. Keep it coming
So much value in this video. I appreciate your effort in preparing it and sharing it with us!
"In life, you have to choose your regrets." Genius.
Such a great trade for time! Thank you for your honesty and presentation.
Incredible to see your growth mate, keep it going. You’re one of the great.
These type of videos are priceless, Thank you Chris for changing so many lives!
Chris, thanks for all the insights through your work and sharing and uplifting of others brilliant minds. It’s done me a world of good tuning in over the past year and some. Salute!
🚴 Guru Chris, thank you for your inspiration! Best listen while I grind it out, indoors on a -25c day in Calgary. Best for 2023! 🚴
The GOAT of wisdom 😎
Excellent summary and inspiring. Thank you. I appreciate all of the content you are putting out. Great conversations with an array of people. This is exactly what I have been looking for...Saluté to a peaceful and healthy 2023.
This is FANTASTIC. I really wish other big intellectual podcasters would do this.
This is a video that deserves 100 million views. Thank you
Cracking Chris, 8 came across you this year and have gained so many insights which I use today. You are appreciated
Best video I've watched this year. Very well done, Chris
The best thing I like you are the straightforward questions from the guests.
Thank you very much for the great guests, great conversations , great lessons and open minded. Great work!
