thank you so much, this was exactly what I needed! I just successfully removed and replaced my (almost 10 year old) battery, it had a good run but had definitely given up the ghost. Saved me towing my big ass van into a shop to get it done.
So if I just want to disconnect the ground on the inside battery, I can do that without removing all that crap? Is that what you did right at the start?
how are sprinter vans reliable, I am thinking of buying for my business. do you think I would have a lot of problems with def. I donk like ford or dodge. Is it worth to buy one
They are good and reliable but the only issue I have is the van drains the battery while sitting for a few days. I have a Ford RV and that does not happen with the ford. If I don't use the van for 2 to4 days I have to recharge the battery. That is a pain. Heck I am doing it right now. Looking for a ford transit van to replace which I hear they have more power.
Yes. There are 4 bolts that hold the metal cover under the floor mat, above the battery. Loosen those slightly with a T-30 then the plate slides towards the driver seat.

What? That took less than 5 min. Mercedes charges 1.5 hours to do this. Over $200 in labor!!

Where’s the instruction on replacement?, anyone can remove it!, the difficulty is in getting the vehicle to accept the new battery
