This would be good for emergencies, like getting locked out on a roof or maintenance. Also medical emergencies when you cant get to a loved one whose fallen in the tub etc.

If you don't have a deadbolt, any thief can just kick your door in. Even with a deadbolt, your door can probably be entered with slightly more effort. This tool is only effective on already easy to open doors.
