Thanks for commenting and your question - I don't know of anyone specifically - Most firefighters make the refinements themselves. All you need is an angle grinder, files and maybe a Dremel tool. Many of the newer Halligan bars on the market come with a lot of the refinements that are lacking on a ProBar. However with an hour or so of work and a little patience you can definitely enhance the effectiveness of a ProBar
@Dale G. Pekel could you make a more in depth video on how you take down and sharpen the adz forks and pike of the halligan, like what tools and methods you use?
Hello Benjamin - I'll look into that in the future, but for now here's what I use: First an angle grinder with a grinding disc to do most of the heavy work, including shaping and removing material. Then I clean things up with hand files. The small indicator marks on the sides of the Adz and Fork are done with a Dremel tool - I stack a couple sanding discs together to make the small grove. Some FFs will than fill in the groves with paint so they can be seen better.
Yes I sharpen point/pike as well - As far as grit, the rougher the disc the faster and more material you'll remove. I used a couple different ones and then clean things up with files. You can use a wire wheel, or even better, a buffing wheel if you want to take it to show quality level.

How it handles drops and wear and tear is more about the type and heat treat of the steel. I love how the leather head ads is so much thicker also
I used a milling machine for flattening the shoulders. Saves lots of time and grinder discs.

what grit of grinding disc do you use, what would you prefer? also how do you sharpen the pike?
