This crossing is located on the Great Eastern Main Line (GEML) and is located in near the village of Margretting and Church Lane Level Crossing. The majority of this line seems to be Bi-directional signalling, but is very rarely used like that.
This crossing is on a small back road that leads to a house and a field. You can walk over the crossing as there is a public footpath that connects this road to Church Lane crossing through the field but actually follows the railway. Two trains pass in the first activation leaving the lights on red and the alarms continuing to sound, these alarms don’t have a faster “yodel” so these Apellos where fitted with the usual “Warning, more then one train may be approaching” (x2) and continues to sound its alarm and speak throughout the whole time the crossing is active.
