Do you think it's worth putting the Nucanoe rudder on the Flint? Also how do you think the Flint will handle class 3 rapids? I have a Frontier 12 but I also want a boat for multi-day river trips with rapids. I feel the Frontier 12 is too heavy and unmaneuverable for that, but it's great with a trolling motor.
Hey bud! I’m looking at the unlimited and pursuit. I’ll be fishing the gulf coast, both out front and back bays/marshes. I’m 6’3 265lbs. I know I want the peddle drive, but also want to be able to have the option to put on a trolling motor. I keep gear basic otherwise, but carry a few different rods and a cooler. I’m leaning more unlimited, but would value some extra opinions.
Thank you! for fly fishing I like the Nucanoe Frontier 12. The Frontier 12 has a great open deck layout and they also have an optional standup bar as well as a fly reel dock for securement. Great and stable kayak.
So, with the F10 being so wide and short, is it bad to paddle around? I’ve watched a ton of videos and reviews, but nobody ever talks about how the F10 is to paddle. I see a lot of people rig it up with a trolling motor, but that would only be a part of what I would use it for. Also, how would you compare stability with the Flint vs. F10. Those are the two I have it narrowed down to. I fish large ponds, rivers, creeks and some lakes. Portability and storage of the kayak are huge for me because I don’t really have room for a 12’+ boat at the moment. I like to be able to rig it up or tear it all down to be minimalistic. NuCanoe gives some great options in that department and I love their kayaks. What would be your pick on the F10 or Flint?
If I could only buy one kayak and that's it...it would be a Flint. Good stability and great paddling kayak. The Flint is one of the best tracking kayaks on the market. The F10 is light and has the swivel seat but it's not the best paddling kayak by any means.
Curious if it’s ok to have both the pedal and trolling motor on the Unlimited?? Asking because I fish ponds also and wouldn’t need the trolling motor for those!!!
Its my personal kayak as well. I fish primarily on lakes and have an XI3 motor on it. Wouldn't hesitate to take it on the river either. Phenomenal kayak. Thanks for watching!
Would love to see a new video on your top 5 most stable fishing kayaks. Not taking speed or expense into account. Strictly just stability top 5. Would make a great video!
Hey Jerry, The tracking is not as good as the 12 obviously but does not do a bad job. It will turn a lot quicker than the 12 footer by design though. Thank you for watching!
Unlimited or Pursuit honestly. The Pursuit will paddle a lot better and track really nicely. The Unlimited paddles decent and has more of that "open" feel to it.
Appreciate the the Nucanoe review. Solid work and presentation! Look forward to your comparison between the Unlimited and the Bonafide PWR.
Thank you! Check out the one I did between the SS127 and the Unlimited. It will be similar but the PWR will fix a lot of the difference between the 2

The Flint can handle the occasional class 3 depending on your skill level.

I would go Unlimited. The Pursuit paddles faster but if you are motorizing, I would definitely go Unlimited
Nice presentation. What kind of kayak brand would be good for fly fishing on ponds, small lakes, and possibly creeks.

The fixed seat in the Flint can be upgraded to the 360 swivel seat using an inexpensive kit they sell.
It can but can really affect the stability though

Of course it would be OK. If you had the MotorGuide quick release then it would be even easier to switch
Thank you!! Appreciate the speedy response!! Now to figure out power poles!!
What paddle do you recommend for the Nucanoe Unlimited? I'm 5'10". Thanks your informative videos
250 minimum. Nucanoe sells adjustable fiberglass paddles that I would suggest trying.
Love my unlimited handles like a dream with one person or two

Have you been out in Pursuit and how stable I fish by myself always
Stable enough, it's built for speed. If stability is what you want then you would be better off looking at a Frontier or Unlimited
Have you or know anybody that's put a gas powered outboard motor on a nucanoe. If so is it hard to operate?
Not really with the tiller arm attachment. Some people really like the setup but I have no personal experience with it.
@@thebeardedpaddler Thank you for the reply. I just found you channel today.
@@rexsaye423 appreciate that! Hope to see you around here more

I did a top 5 big guy kayaks which kinda covered the same things
How is the tracking on the Frontier 10?
