Harbor freight sells fishing rod like electricians use that helps with running electrical wire or para cord . Worked great for me on a native titan 12 propel
I would recommend to Nucanoe that they need to add gaskets for the outlets. I made my own but a fitted gasket would be better to water proof that plug connection. The socket truck is key ..great innovation there!
Thank you for sharing this video I’m really learning to purchase the Nucanoe unlimited for my first kayak, in really excited to add these type of products to it! I’m also glad someone knows how to do this I’m pretty sure I will be calling someone like yourself to install and rig my kayak for tournament! I’m really excited when I’m ready to get this started! Tight lines sir! Does your company do full rigging for tournament ready?
Xi3 wiring was fairly easy for me. It was the lighting wiring that was a PITA due to limited hull access. I’d love to see Nucanoe provide mounting plates with the gasket built in to it. If the plate is bent in any way from you fiddling with it , it doesn’t seat flush when you reinstall it. I’m not too great with my hands. Lol. My $.02.
Hi, I'm trying to turn the notification bell on so I get notified of new videos and it says I can't because your channel is marked as content for kids. RUclips has strange rules for "content is made for kids" content. It doesn't mean "safe for kids", but rather "targeted at kids". Is there a way you can change that setting? I always miss your lives. :(
I love that Tundra color. I really want one with the Xi3. For the life of me I cannot sell the native kayak slayer max I have right now. Seems like used kayaks aren’t selling like during Covid.
They aren't. A lot more of them out there so that's driving the price down. Used was selling close to new because you couldn't find the new ones anywhere
Really good job on installing the Xi3 trolling motor. Is it possible for a pull rope to be attached to the motor to deploy and retract it from the seat?
Absolutely. Sometimes I'll do an eyebolt in the pedal unlock and one on the motors head. The Unlimited is stable enough I always just took a knee at the front and did it myself.
@@jamesdavis3600 No. It is locked down but also folds in the opposite direction of what it would need to to kick up. That is one of the disadvantages of the bow mount.
@@ryanfuller9710 unless you are going with some other aftermarket setup you are not going to have much option for different location. If there was a handle in front of the motor then you wouldn't be able to bring it out of the water. Are you trying to use the handle with the motor on it?
@@thebeardedpaddler we can talk next week I'll call the shop to discuss. I am in love with this U10 and will get a front handle for loading might just be a longer rope....but I'll call the Cotter shop next week if that is cool.

@@thebeardedpaddler Also, with the 3 screw design, the mounting wouldn't be strong enough. It needs to be on the back to minimize the torque on the single screw. I do agree with @basschaser9356 though. Many of the other designs are better.

Agreed. Thank you for watching
Great video. Remember to keep any of the plastic you cut out of the actual kayak so that you can use it for any plastic welding you need to do later.
100%
I keep the cutouts and give to customers on these builds

That has the be the most detailed vid i have ever seen. As a fat guy i don't have a lot of options on taks but thats the yak that i want.
@@raysgonefishing3271 thank you for your feedback!
does all of this info apply to the u10 as well? hoping i can get one in canada! great and informative vid!
Yes it does!
How fast will the Motor Guide propel the kayak?
I got about between 4-5 depending on how I'm loaded up. I'm over 5 in the PWR129 though
seems relatively easy to install that Xi3.
@@jeromehebert3184 a lot better than it used to be for sure
Thanks for the video. Gave me some points to remember when I finally decide to put a motor on my kayak.
Glad it helped!

Must be motor guide since doesn’t have a lock pin on the quick release

They sold a curved plate that helped with that but I don't think they do anymore
Looks cheap how are the pressed in nuts going to hold that weight??

Have you had any issues or have your customers has any issues with recent unlimiteds leaking from scupper hole?
Never had that issue honestly.
I'm wondering why they didn't put the hand hold on the motor mount outside instead of on the inside where it's not accessible.
You would not be able to fully deploy the motor down.
Are you a Nucanoe retailer? If so, can we buy this from you pre installed?
we are and you can! we are working on the components to do on our website. You can always give us a call or chat with us at ozarkmtc.com
Could just use a piece of metal snake and pull both wires at the same time
You can. This is just how I do it

My local shop in OKC/Tulsa is not in tune will the U10 or the unlimited as they are more pushing the Hobbie stock they over ordered!

Nucanoe plate is worst on the market . Useless grab handle
Same material that everyone else uses. If the grab was in the front it would impede the motor deployment.
