I have been tinkering with xyz revive splash as well! While the water rank 3 pool is alright, the rank 5 pool is much better. And you can access it pretty easily by summoning the rank 4 Utopic Ray Lancer on top of Opabinia after you have sent the trap. The best rank 5 target is probably the new Shark Drake LeVeiss, but that isn't in MD yet. Nash knight or the armor xyz line are good alternatives for now, as both are capable of OTKing pretty easily.
