Great tips and recommendations. It’s amazing is how the cost 💰of film & video gear ⚙️ is way less expensive than when I was in college 🎓and video 📼 technology was in it’s infancy 👨🏻‍🍼. Keep barking up great vids like this.

Indeed. It will be interesting to see what inflation does though.

At some stage, could you demonstrate exactly how you set up lights around a real-life subject as an instructional tutorial to assist other videographers? Take us through the process of how you position the lights, vary the intensity as required, experiment with different light settings etc. until you are satisfied with the outcome. Also (importantly) how to decide how many lights to use in a given situation.

Absolutely! I'd love to John. Thank you for asking. Here is a video I did that partly does what you are asking, (ruclips.net/video/bgBUB_XnJeo/видео.html) but I can be much more specific on lighting per the details you requested. When I eventually get to that video, I'll reply to your comment again with the link to it. Thank you again for asking.

@@ginger_dog Thanks for the link. I saw that video. Perhaps a follow up would be broken down into clear steps and provide more detail about the actual lights used and their intensity. You could show how varying the lights in real time has effects on how the subject appears and how you decided what was the best end result. Also, it would be nice to see you interacting with the client and show how you explain to the client what you are doing and why.

@@johnchoice1371 Absolutely! Makes perfect sense. I figured that's where you were going with your request. I love it. I'll do my best to record stuff along those lines the next time I shoot.

@@johnchoice1371 Here is a video I just dropped that does a lot of this. Generally, my clients are not on site when I set up, so I don't explain a lot to them, but sometimes they are. Maybe my next video like this I can run that scenario too. Hope this one helps a little.
