Why would he want to go anywhere? He can stop any trade he wants and keep living in NY making his millions. Even if he could go to a top team he can just say no and force the Rangers to trade someone else to improve the team. Every single team in the NHL will have players that just dont connect or get along., That said the franchise must have a culture where all members must respect each other and the organization they are apart of.
