“Right after the band landed in the ill-fated Panama City FL to begin recording "A Prelude to Sorrow" the idea of doing an 80s power ballad was drunkenly pondered by the band. On one of Steve Bolognese' IPA benders he came up with Helloween’s “A Tale That Wasn’t Right”. Though the band recorded the song during the APS sessions, the video was shot during the band’s recent tour of Japan as support for Kamelot. With Japanese tour manager Mia Steinhausen guiding our way, we were amazed and honored to be so welcomed by the fans and label(s) in Japan that we decided to create a little visual tribute as a gift to everyone who helped us out. Seen in the beginning is even a cameo by none other than Masa-Ito! Domo-Arigato”. - WITHERFALL
'A Tale That Wasn’t Right' is part of the "Vintage - EP" available on the band's European tour with Sonata Arctica and released via Century Media Records on March 22, 2019.

Saw them (together with Sonata Arctica) at their last Show of the Accoustic Tour in Bochum in the "Christuskirche" (a church- Joseph Michael called it the Metalchurch 😏🤘). it was stunning.

Ok. So I tried. I did try.
Highly interested when I seen the title.
Started singing, I was like errrggg. ok, slightly un-nerving, but ok. Lets see where this goes.
Started off uncomfortable, like walking around in soaking wet blue Jeans.
Ended in excruciating pain, akin to jerking it using a sheet of sandpaper.
Covers can be done, in your own voice but keeping more to the original, in a way that pays homage to the creator. Or you can change it up, IF you have a good reason or way to do so. Like playing it in a different style or something that WORKS. But just cranking it up 7 notches half way through... just because?
Well, that is what leads to things like Metallica-yeah yeah.... Fucking up the song Turn the Page-yeah and a bonus Yo-Ho!
Or the best part of Holy Diver (the bridge) being reduced to a gruntle bunch of nonsense.
Or just 5 Finger Death Punch... and whatever the fuck you call what they do to everything. Or even Disturbed trying to powerhouse Simon and Garfunkel FFS

Wrong Lyrics... "Have my MIND turned to stone" not "HEART"... And the magic of this song is totally lost. The video is boring. Sorry but never touch this classic.

Besides, it's not just about the video. Witherfall are incredibly live on stage. They are simply darker...and Joseph Michael can convey many emotions with his voice and his personification.

Oona Midnight (Crimson Glory) was very similar in that way. So much passion and feeling in his voice. Not to mention, one of the best voices ever of this genre.
