Nice rig man really👍. Have you still got it? I've an XJ but thinking of replacing as we pay 3x more for gas here in EU. . Unfortunately we got a different front end design here for the Patriot which doesn't do it any favours.
Well almost there, added a bull bar to mine, got it looking good, talk of the town, thanks man for all the product advice, oh, lift kit. That's a must, makes the Patriot even more Awesome.
Would love to see more driving videos on your channel. You are doing a great job showcasing this vehicle in a completely new light! Can you share any details about how much your fuel economy changed?
Shannon Nicholson the crossrails are LT Sport on Amazon and the basket is Highland but Reese is the same thing they’re usually $130 but currently on sale on Amazon for $80
Mines a cvt 2.0 so far no mods and won’t get any lol. All it cost me was was any kind of respect . Not trying to be negative lol I got the trashy model
I’m looking to get a late 2000s patriot manual. I notice they are pretty affordable. Are they good vehicles? Reliable? Always hear bad things about Jeeps and Chrysler in general.
I have enjoyed my 2015 patriot sport 4x4. Issues, throttle body, and sensors. I replaced all of them when I got mine. Spark plugs and coils are easy to change. You can find used replacement motors about $800-$1000, & used replacement transmission $500 or less. I think it is a great vehicle for outdoors fun that won't break the bank. You can get a used patriot $10-$15000.
So does the McPherson struts on the front tolerate those big wheels? Seeing as how these vehicles pretty much have a car suspension with no upper ball-joint, I would think big tires would wear them out quickly.
@@aaronhaight22 Thanks for reply, I have a 2008 jeep patriot, not sure if its an MK? To me its a plan jeep patriot, front wheel drive, and i was going to pour some money into it like yours and go front wheel drive , cause i have purchased the transmission and all the stuff to go 4x4.Just waiting for money and helper.lol. Got the basket for the top and the rails, And the grill inserts did not fit, Grill has larger holes that the 2011/2017.I may change the front grille to a newer model 2011 or better, thanks and keep in touch.

This is excellent! :o ...LOVE all the mods uv made...neat! Since you went to overall bigger wheels (tire+rim) comparing to the factory ones...are you having any problem (change of ride quality, MPG, or overall performance...etc.)?
I haven’t had any problem with going bigger in tires besides speedometer being off by around 5 mph but that’s normal ride quality is better and softer due to the high quality tires. I haven’t recorded mpg so I cannot answer that yet and performance is slightly slower in acceleration due to heavy wheels and tires but not too noticeable.
I have a 2014 Patriot with the 2.4L engine. It has the auto 6 speed auto shifter. So basically where the L or low great usually is in most cars, is where the manual option is. So bring the shifter all the way down. You hold it to the right and you're in manual. Movee the shifter to the right to go up in gear, and to the left to go down in gear. When you want to go back to auto, just hold the shifter to the right until it's back in drive. I put a K&N cold intake in my Jeep and a magnaflow exhaust (not the whole catback), hoping to get more power. Maybe it has helped, but I feel like it still lacks. I wish these had bigger engines. I want more horsepower, but I think the CVT transmission basically prevents any chance of really adding more horsepower.
I like my Patriot, and I paid about 10k for it with 2012 4x4 with 67k miles, the power is alright, its slow, I don't have the 6 speed auto I have the CVT which restricts power imo
Thanks! Here these are for Toyota Tundra but they’re exactly the same as the Jeep Patriot m.ebay.com/itm/TOYOTA-TUNDRA-2007-2017-Led-light-bar-brackets-for-50-OR-52-STRAIGHT-CURVED/173375330259?hash=item285df997d3:g:~9MAAOSwsW9YyOXG if you have trouble, feel free to reply back or watch my RUclips video on how to find the brackets on eBay!
In your other walkthrough video you said your resistors kept burning out, is there a way around that for led headlight bulbs? Like higher wattage resistors?
I get flashed all the time. Not by chicks unfortunately. By other drivers . Lights are where they should be they think my high beams are on. I did put the sylvania something or other brightest ones autozone sells tho
I made a video about my wheel/tire setup, it goes through all the mods i made to fit the tires, and 2" lift would be good, but don't run spacers, they'd prolly rub on the body/bumper due to the backspacing the rims already have
When you first get them put on you'll notice a slight power decrease, but overtime it will be un-noticeable when you get used to them, keep in mind my tire/wheel setup weighs about 65 lbs. or so.
Can somebody please help me. I want to know if the autostick feature is on 2014 to 2017 model yr patriots that come with the 6 spd auto tranny? And does it come in handy when mild offroading/rock crawling since u can essentially put it in 1st and it will stay there(unless your speed goes over a certain point n then it auto shifts up)
Yes, they could come with the CVT transmission (what I had) or the Hyundai conventional 6-speed transmission, and yes and no it’s better off-road but at the same time if RPM’s get too high it’ll automatically shift to next gear
I don’t have any hubcentric rings but I do get a little wobble occasionally down the road at higher speeds (60 mph and up) but I was told I didn’t need any, I may look into it in the near future.
Last time I recorded it was a while back and I was getting about 15 mpg but I have a heavy foot speed a lot and all the things I’ve added increase drag which doesn’t help mpg
Just spliced into reverse wiring, I’ll make a video on it soon, but it’s illegal (at least in NY to have it spliced into there, it should be on a switch)
I went through like 2 wheel bearings within 3 years of ownership, installed Moog parts and had no issues afterwards, no issues with any other suspension components
Beautiful build man I'm also building my patriot almost got mine together so far nice build man
Danielray Jacquez thanks man!!
Hey im just doing stripping my patriot, engine upgrade and that stuff big amateur at it. Where do I start on?
Hi, love this! Where did you get the tires from ? I cannot find any anywhere that will fit!
Nice job on your Patriot. Looks pretty sweet and a lot more trail worthy.
Thanks!!
So dope. Now I wanna change my tires. I wonder if the bigger tires will cost more gas????
My MPG definitely went down but it’s not a lot.
Getting a keep patriot tm can’t wait to build mines😈

Nice. I have a Jeep Patriot as well. Pretty much bare bones besides some Jeep issued tires. Custom suspension.
2015 model. Wish it was the sport edition. Either way she is a beauty.
Sounds cool!
nice build. r u not planning to add ground clearance(lifts) and running boards?
I have my lift in the box collecting dust, trying to be on a budget for a while and gonna get it installed when the time comes.
Do you get worse gas milage with those tires
Yes
awesome build man, is it lifted at all or is everything stock under the hood?
lootmaker99 currently stock suspension no lift yet, awaiting install hopefully around July

I just got a 2017 Jeep patriot, nice mods man! hope you make more videos about it, im so new to the Jeep game, lol :D
Hi, The grill insert you install, will they work for a 2008 Jeep Patriot? Looks the same. What you think?
Grill is thinner so I’m not sure, i know the angry eyes won’t work

Doubt this will get a response, but how did you go about tinting the blinkers?
VHT Nightshade. Can be bought at Autozone.
Great video, btw. Where did you find the brackets for the 50' inch led light bar?
Nice build just curious what color is that IT seems really nice
It’s mineral gray metallic with paint code (PDM)
Do the tires rub any?
Did not know people modded the patties. cool
thanks for watching!
In your other walkthrough video you said your resistors kept burning out, is there a way around that for led headlight bulbs? Like higher wattage resistors?
Not that I have come across, I eventually just went back to factory halogen bulbs, went through about 4 or 5 sets and they all stopped working
I get flashed all the time. Not by chicks unfortunately. By other drivers . Lights are where they should be they think my high beams are on. I did put the sylvania something or other brightest ones autozone sells tho
Any tire rubbing in the wheel wells with those tires? Also what do you think about a 2" lift kit and spacers with those wheels?
I made a video about my wheel/tire setup, it goes through all the mods i made to fit the tires, and 2" lift would be good, but don't run spacers, they'd prolly rub on the body/bumper due to the backspacing the rims already have
What is the size of the rims and tires and if you had to make any modifications?
Trailmaster TM5-5865 Steel Rims (15x8 w/ 3.75 Backspacing)
BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2’s (30x9.50xR15)
this is great man..
what is the colour u used, if there is a spesific number or code for it i'll be grateful
The color code for my Jeep you mean?
do the tires rub and is that stock suspension? and did you have to do the pinch mod?
Did the pinch weld mod, and slight rub at full lock
do u have any rubbing with your tires? I was thinking of upgrading but I’m just not sure
Ro han I’m on stock suspension so I had a bunch of rubbing, I did the pinch weld mod and cut some of the wheel well liner to remove all the rubbing
How is the power with the tires because my Patriot is already bad on hills or passing
When you first get them put on you'll notice a slight power decrease, but overtime it will be un-noticeable when you get used to them, keep in mind my tire/wheel setup weighs about 65 lbs. or so.
I'd like to note the manual transmission versions are significantly more powerful. The 6 speed auto models are not bad. The CVT models are Prius slow.
Can somebody please help me. I want to know if the autostick feature is on 2014 to 2017 model yr patriots that come with the 6 spd auto tranny? Did you need any hubcentric pieces for you rims? Just got the same rims and I got a little wobble going down the road.
I don’t have any hubcentric rings but I do get a little wobble occasionally down the road at higher speeds (60 mph and up) but I was told I didn’t need any, I may look into it in the near future.
Do you think this is a safety issue to be concerned about? Also would the wobble by itself cause any damages to anything?
I don't believe it would cause any safety concerns nor problems.
Hi. Nice job! Is there room for the spare tire in there? Thanks
I mounted the spare in the rooftop basket
nice man! any ideas for steel bumpers? ivee been lookin everywhere
your like the only guy that posts detailed vids?
Thanks man, I know wambumpers.com has I think 2 options for steel bumper for the Patriot, I can make a video going through the options if you’d like

aaronhaight22 Right, sucks in gas but looks pretty good. Take care brother
Did ya have to lift it to fit the 30s
Did you literally just splice into the reverse bulb or was there more to it.
Just spliced into reverse wiring, I’ll make a video on it soon, but it’s illegal (at least in NY to have it spliced into there, it should be on a switch)
Did you have to put a lift kit under it?
I prefer a jeep patriot like this than a wrangler tbh thanks for the vid

Aluminum
How is it off road?
Did you have to lift to fit those tires?
Nope no lift, stock height and suspension, go check out my tire/wheel setup video for all the details.
Do the tires scrub any on the stock suspension
Yeah they rubbed on the pinch weld and I had to modify it and the front wheel well liner which I cut out where it rubbed
