I saw this Patriot and just assumed it was an automatic. I was so happy to see it was a manual. Basically that is all that saved it for me.
We bought a 2014 Jeep Patriot Sport FWD new in November of 2013. It doesn't have the CVT, it has a 6-speed PowerTech automatic transmission with Auto Stick with the 2.4L engine. We now have 147,800 miles on it. I do all of the maint service on it and since new, so far I've replaced, the drivers side spindle assembly (bad bearing, the drivers side rear wheel bearing, the radiator and the filler neck in the top radiator hose. We live in North Georgia and for us it's been a great vehicle.
That's great! Thanks for watching!
This has been my fav car to own. Had it since 2016, no CVT issues of course. Got the black out wheels and monthly payment that is done already was only $190. It's still rock solid and not sure what the electrical issues are this guy had. But had free touchscreen XM Hair Nation lol. I hear a few break squeaks on a cold morning, but never had to pay a dime for repairs and not sure what these people are doing to to mess up their ride.
That's great!
I dont normally watch these reviews, but my wifes gonna need a new vehicle soon, you can find these cheaper and in decent shape arpund here. I was wondering if they were much good. This video helped me with that, im always leery of anything cvt
Don’t get the CVT. 6 speed automatic combined with the 2.4 L engine (gasoline) is most reliable. I’ve seen a few with 350k kilometers
Buy.
I like these, I'd drive one of these.
CVT or 6 speed PowerTech, Hyundai automatic basically.
Zero Electronic issues so far. I am the 2nd owner of a 2014 jeep patriot "North" edition. however the fuse box located under the hood to the left of the driver position makes a sound that might sound like a serpetine belt but its not. Its actually the air compressor (aC) causing vibrations to the box that houses the fuses. When the car idles it squaks. I also noticed these are prone to a transmission leak especially on the CVT but why are Lines ran the way they are its silly.
My sister used to have one of these & from what she told me about it; I'd have to agree with you!
Now I want you to do a high miles review on my 2016 Toyota Carolla Sport with over 200,000 miles on it.
Its a toyota, it runs and the dash likely doesn't rattle, what more can you say 😅
Do you remember there was a Saturn that had a Honda engine? When you say you want to like this car I am thinking the same thing but these cars need to have something better and proven underneath. Like that Saturn/Honda thing. I remember test driving it and the Honda engine ran great but there was so much noise in the cabin from bad interior design.
The CVT transmission is horrible. We had 3 different ones for company cars. All three lost their transmissions at around that 150k mark. The replacement transmissions are no better!
Junk😂
junk for you great for me,,,,,,,i ve been driving a patriot for well over 3yrs now with a CVT......I had one issue with it a wire that failed and the CVT would no longer shift........found the failed wire and bypassed it with a new one an its never let me down since.....................if people would drive these jeeps with common sense and not beat the crap out of them......and do the .....OIL CHANGES,,,,,,,every 40 000 Km or so they will last,,,,,,,,,,,i am living proof folks,,,,,,,,,,keep in mind that these jeeps were ......NOT MADE for fast and hard driving ,,,,,,,,,or else buy a wrangler or whatever,,,,,,,,,,
