    That is an intercooler reservoir for the supercharger. It's an upgrade for more fluid capacity and esthetics. Also makes it easier to put ice in the tank since it has a bigger opening. However I wouldn't put ice in it for the dyno like someone mentioned since that will just inflate the numbers. You want to put ice in the tank if you're ever at the track to keep the IAT2s in check.
    That Kenne Bell supercharger (looks like their 2.6 blower) is an old school blower for these cars. They make decent power but they're outdated superchargers. They heat-soak really quickly, which is a killer on these cars since they don't have knock sensors and pull timing by IAT2 numbers. A VMP or Whipple 2.3 would actually make similar power, if not more, but be much more efficient. Also check your intercooler pump is working. Remove the fuse next to the intake tube and jump it with a wire.
    Check compression on the cylinders since these car has been passed around for a bit and maybe they know something you don't.
    CHECK THE ALTERNATOR, CHECK THE ALTERNATOR, CHECK THE ALTERNATOR!! Especially at wide open throttle. If that is dying, you are putting your motor at risk. If you do a wide open throttle hit and it's dropping voltage, it will starve your injectors causing a lean issue. Lean problems on boosted cars equals an easier blown motor. There is a video on YT from someone blowing their motor cause he had a dying alternator and didn't fix it before racing his car.

    The 2nd tank is an ice coolant tank it's job is too keep intake air Temps down . Before you dyno it put ice in that tank it will make more hp. Really a cool termi aka terminator .

    These cars give you a driving experience that no other cars offer and with just a tune and pulley go 0 to 160 in less then 30 seconds. The power feels so raw and the supercharger makes its own sound better then any song ever. The one you bought has a aftermarket blower which is over 5k and most likely over 600hp. Iv had mine for over 15 years. These get over 24 mpg and are so sensible to daily drive also

    Been following these cars for a while, always wanted one. That’s a 30k + car all day if all checks out. The market on these has been going up. Kenne belle supercharged, a sought after sonic blue only downside it’s a convertible but completely worth the money.

    Looks like it's only at the dealer auction because it has a LOT of aftermarket parts. Probably got traded in at a franchise dealer. They hate cars with aftermarket parts. Don't rush to get it to Mecum. Bring it to Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach April 13-15. It's a convertible, it'll sell for more in Spring anyways.

    The supercharger is a 7-10,000 dollar upgrade over stock Eaton unit. The Kenne Bell unit with smaller pulley is where the additional HP comes from. 390 stock closer to 430. Smaller pulley and tune puts it close to 475. Then the blower swap makes it over 600. Suggestion for you is to purchase the green belt for the upgrade. Owners had issues with blower belt slipping or coming off at higher rpms. The green belt was the cure for that. As long as everything is in line. I'd like to have even though it's a convertible. I have a 04 hard tip with a Kenne Bell upgrade. That's the best upgrade you can do for the 03-04 terminators. Congrats... Heck of a Deal.. I've seen some very low examples bringing well over 30,000 with stock Eaton superchargers.

    In 3-8 months I’ll be in the market for a supercharged 16-2022 mustang. Your car is tempting to give a reasonable offer on if you still have it in a couple months, but my work is far away and I think I’d feel bad racking up the miles on a lower mile car like that. I did see a high mileage one on my search. Something like that is tempting because I could pull the motor and have it rebuilt and drive it all I want and have a sweet ride for a good price.

    • @racequad9
      @racequad9 2 года назад +1

      That is actually false. KB superchargers for these cars are old technology and very inefficient. They heat-soak very quickly and don't compete with even the smaller size blowers from VMP and Whipple horse power wise. A VMP or Whipple 2.3 would run better than this KB (looks like their 2.6 blower). Or if you really want to make power with a supercharger get a VMP 2.6 or the Whipple 2.9 or 3.0.
