Bro! I never would have thought to replace the lyrics with the actual chord progressions! You made learning this somewhat difficult song that much easier to master! Thank you!
Marty Schwartz for president 2020
Make Guitar Great Again!
there would be no wars no nukes no scandles just nice shirts, hats a mustache and guitar lessons #TEAMSCHWARTZ
ha, thanks for the sentiment Adam!
ha
i second this.
I’ve learned so many songs through this cat. Awesome guy.
I'm from Brazil and I love Dead, specially this song.
Thank you for continuing to do what you do Marty! I started playing guitar almost 15 years ago and your videos were always so helpful. I still appreciate the help all these years later, all love 🎸🙏🏻
Man, You've ALWAYS got my back when I'm having a tough time figuring the dynamics of a song out.
Love the way you break down the rythym, and sing the chords out!!
I've been watching your channel/ lessons for a decade now, and have been playing guitar over two decades.
I grew up BEFORE RUclips, self taught, for the most part, but I just wanted to say that your channel has taught me A LOT.
and you're appreciated!!!!
you're the MAN Marty!!!!
Marty, I learned Johnny B. Goode from you before I had any idea you were on the bus. Touch of Grey is the song I need to nail for a new group, and this lesson is like a catapult. Bless
Love this one Marty. But your supposed to turn into a skeleton!
marty if you could pull that skeleton bit off I would love you even more than I do which i didn't think was possible.
Mtv! The good old days.
Best video ever !!! Great call
you're
Youre going to hell in a bucket for that.
Love these guitar lessons, thanks for all you do. Keep the grateful dead lessons coming. Finding good lessons of their songs is next to impossible to find. And i think you do a great job of covering them, every time i see a new lesson of them by you my brain floods with endorphins and dopamine.
Hi Marty thank you again for all the great lessons. I've seen the Grateful dead over 30 times before Jerry passed on.
You are very informative in an easy to grasp way cheers!
Marty thanks for share your love for Rock n' Roll. I love your videos and I've learned very much every day. Greetings from Brazil.

Hi there Marty I too learn by ear since I’m about 12 years old. I’m becoming a bit lazy now at 59 OMG! Lol anyway I just wanted to let you know you’re doing a great job you make it fun to learn I’ve watched quite a few of your lessons more for a reference to go a bit faster then sitting and figuring out what I hear. Since this Stephen King movie we now live it I learn covers and post them to my Instagram,Facebook and my channel here! In fact I just posted Old Man and I play the ergonomically correct G as well! You made me smile when you said that lol the really funny part is I started on rhythm guitar at 12 years old in 73 and it took me about 18 years to figure out my primary is actually bass which I got my first jazz bass at 30 and here I am now 29 years later playing mostly guitar but once this crap is over I’m grabbing my bass forming or joining a band and getting myself back where I belong back in stage! Any stay well my friend I’m going to go over Touch if Grey now and possibly post it 🎼🎶🎵🎸😇😎
thanks Marty ! Awsome lesson!
Fun song, thanks for teaching Marty
Hey, Marty! I love the show and have really learned a lot from you. I was wondering if you could do a video on Always Somewhere by Scorpions. Thank you for everything, Marty!

This is fun to play on an acoustic or an electric. Thanks for the lesson, Marty!
Very kind of you, thank you so much! Also I appreciate you supporting "MartyMusic"
No, thank YOU, Marty! You rock, brother!
My personal favorite too Marty. Jerry’s greatest composition if you ask me, maybe greatest ever
Also eyes of the world is an amazing composition with quite a complex and compelling chord progression
if you play capo II A, E, D, G, D you can vamp the D chord to sound like Jerrys lick.
Hey Marty, nice video! could you maybe do a lesson for weightless by all time low?
Love it 😎
loving the high quality video
I appreciate that very much! Thanks so much for the kind words! More new stuff on the way here at "MartyMusic"
awesome video! how about some scarlet begonias or jack straw??
Mark - Both are pretty involved. Straw in particular kind of needs two guitars
“Mouthful of Cavities” by Blind Melon would be a great one man
Stellar!
Could you run for the solo for this? I'm having a hard time with the tabs
can you do more grateful dead lessons please? (like "help on the way", "new speedway boogie", "dark star", "SAINT STEVEN!!)
Thanks for all the time spent breaking this down! I have no idea what it would take but have you considered somehow listing the chord progression? Just a thought. With or without its still an excellent tutorial!
I really appreciate the feedback and of course you supporting me HERE with "MartyMusic"
Rad, excited to go home and try it out! Thanks man!
Were you watching at work 👀 lol
Dude I'm in college.
Hey Courtney! Thanks so much for the kind words! More new stuff on the way here at "MartyMusic"

Do you have a video for Brokedown Palace?
ha good guitar!!! thanks Marty!!
Hey thanks David!
What is the strumming pattern for verse and chorus?
Thanks for a great breakdown is it possible to do a riffing and melodic lesson on it riffs as opposed to really breaking down the solo with that be cool
Marty could you do a lesson for Neil Young's solo from country feedback
Hey Marty! Care to do Dire Wolf by the GD? Please?
I would recommend muting the low E string and attacking primarily the A string on down - just my opinion - otherwise, sounds bang on!
Would love to see a lesson on learning to fly by pink Floyd. Great song

I'm very excited that this is a new venture for you Marty. I'm a deadhead seen Jerry about 10 times with and with out the dead. I have been watching your tutorials for years once I learned that that you also share the taste for the dead I was hooked. Here is a request for a Thursday and probably many of them. Jerry tone. I know how crazy and expensive this can get but I would love to see your take on it. PEACE
May you please do the marigold demo by nirvana
CAN YOU DO A VIDEO SHOWING HOW TO PLAY WEST LA FADEAWAY
Love it!!! Now I hate to sound like a broken record but...... Deep Elem Blues? Please

Hey Marty! Loved the video, but that's nothing different :). Great acoustic song I was trying to learn and I found the right place. I was wondering if maybe you could do a lesson on Trees by Rush? It's one of my favorite songs and it's an awesome song.
